Wow what a lovely hotel. We arrived from another hotel mid afternoon and checked in with the friendly reception staff with no problems. Our bags were taken to our first floor room which was very spacious. Twin beds, plenty of storage space, a television, a lovely big bathroom, air conditioning, a fridge and furnished balcony. Our cleaner was a lovely man, and our room was kept spotless throughout our stay. We did leave him a small tip each day, and bless him you would have thought we were giving him a gold bar. A small tip is greatly appreciated by all the hardworking staff but is not expected, and service is the same whether you tip or not.
Staying at the Dreams Beach, you could also use the facilities at the Dreams Vacation which is reached by a lovely walk through the gardens or by jumping on the taff taff which runs every few mins from one hotel to the other and also along to the beach. There were a total of five swimming pools, some with water slides and some just quiet relaxing ones. There were always plenty of sunbeds, you definitely didnt need to be up early to reserve one with your towel like at some resorts. The hotel was probably running at 50 % capacity, so I am not sure if this would be the case if the hotel was full. The hotel is perched on top of a cliff and they have made good use of this. The man made beach is in tiers down the cliff side. Each tier has several sunbeds and umbrellas, many days it was like sitting on our own private beach. As you got closer to the sea edge, there was a larger more lively beach area, again plenty of vacant sunbeds. The sea is reached by a choice of three jettys which reach out over the coral reef. I personally found the longer jetty to be the best especially at high tide, as it was easy to swim off the end into the deep sea. The smaller jetty had a steep pool ladder going directly into the sea.. It was like swimming in a fish tank, and we must have brought home hundreds of photos of the marine life. There were three beach bars to choose from and all the staff quickly learned your name and what you wanted to drink. Adel was brilliant at the bottom beach bar and kept everybody entertained. Amir used to bring drinks to our sunbeds at the top beach bar near the Grill house which was lovely. We ate in the main restaurant most evenings, and the food was lovely, maybe a bit repetitive but lovely non the less. The Italian a la carte was amazing and a must to eat at.
Samir (not sure if spelled right) makes an amazing nescafe in the lobby bar. There was plenty of space everywhere you went and it was pleasant to stroll around the gardens in an evening or sit on the promenade looking out to sea. The bedouin tent on the top of the cliff was another enjoyable place to while away the evening with a fruit flavoured shisha.
We enjoyed the holiday so much, we came home and booked again to take the family later in the year.
