“Fantastic Holiday”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

Wow what a lovely hotel. We arrived from another hotel mid afternoon and checked in with the friendly reception staff with no problems. Our bags were taken to our first floor room which was very spacious. Twin beds, plenty of storage space, a television, a lovely big bathroom, air conditioning, a fridge and furnished balcony. Our cleaner was a lovely man, and our room was kept spotless throughout our stay. We did leave him a small tip each day, and bless him you would have thought we were giving him a gold bar. A small tip is greatly appreciated by all the hardworking staff but is not expected, and service is the same whether you tip or not.
Staying at the Dreams Beach, you could also use the facilities at the Dreams Vacation which is reached by a lovely walk through the gardens or by jumping on the taff taff which runs every few mins from one hotel to the other and also along to the beach. There were a total of five swimming pools, some with water slides and some just quiet relaxing ones. There were always plenty of sunbeds, you definitely didnt need to be up early to reserve one with your towel like at some resorts. The hotel was probably running at 50 % capacity, so I am not sure if this would be the case if the hotel was full. The hotel is perched on top of a cliff and they have made good use of this. The man made beach is in tiers down the cliff side. Each tier has several sunbeds and umbrellas, many days it was like sitting on our own private beach. As you got closer to the sea edge, there was a larger more lively beach area, again plenty of vacant sunbeds. The sea is reached by a choice of three jettys which reach out over the coral reef. I personally found the longer jetty to be the best especially at high tide, as it was easy to swim off the end into the deep sea. The smaller jetty had a steep pool ladder going directly into the sea.. It was like swimming in a fish tank, and we must have brought home hundreds of photos of the marine life. There were three beach bars to choose from and all the staff quickly learned your name and what you wanted to drink. Adel was brilliant at the bottom beach bar and kept everybody entertained. Amir used to bring drinks to our sunbeds at the top beach bar near the Grill house which was lovely. We ate in the main restaurant most evenings, and the food was lovely, maybe a bit repetitive but lovely non the less. The Italian a la carte was amazing and a must to eat at.
Samir (not sure if spelled right) makes an amazing nescafe in the lobby bar. There was plenty of space everywhere you went and it was pleasant to stroll around the gardens in an evening or sit on the promenade looking out to sea. The bedouin tent on the top of the cliff was another enjoyable place to while away the evening with a fruit flavoured shisha.
We enjoyed the holiday so much, we came home and booked again to take the family later in the year.

Wonderful holiday. Room very spacious and spotless thanks to our lovely male cleaner, he also kept our mini bar well stocked. Meals really good and plenty of choice. Staff were brilliant. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: First floor as ground floor does not have much privacy.

we returned again from dreams beach on the 10 april 14, the hotel was only about 35% full at the time so as people i think were worried about the safety of egypt and some nations had stopped there people flying there, this said the hotel was still well staffed and very friendly the only place closed was the asia house restaurant as some people have commented the beach area sunbeds are mainly full of guests from vacation and russian, the entertainment team try hard to get people involved activties on the beach in the morning and by the pool in the afternoon, food is good for the way they have to cater for all the different tastes

Beach - poor area of land, 6 meters wide, with different-sized umbrellas. When loading at 50% after 10 am to find a free spot on the beach impossible. Vacationers from "Dreams Vacation" take place on the couch in the rock, starting at 5 am, personally tested. As sunrise, people are starting to move sunbeds, making passage through the beach walking on rough terrain. Separately, I note the work of rescuers - they simply do not swim at night - please. One time, however, whistled from the shore because of the storm. Apparently, they can’t swim in the sea and walk on flooring fear suddenly Surgeonfish - Sohal bite ...

Sea. Entrances into the sea are ugly! Due to the constant waves to put on flippers is becoming a very difficult task. During 14 days the sea was closed for 3 days. The reef is located outside the buoys, so that for snorkelling enthusiasts i have to report that the hotel and insurance are not responsible for you, as you are not officially inside the hotel site. The way to this reef from the deck takes 100 meters long. Space for swimming is divided by the pier for boats, so that it will be impossible to swim along the beach without diving under the buoys. Decent depth of 22 - 25 meters. And bald rocks. Regardless of its own diving center, at the bottom is full of debris lying around, even there was an oil filter by motor boat there.

Service. Population at 90% are Russian-speaking people. 5% - are the Arabs, 3% are of Poles and Czechs. 2% -are the British. It would seem that it is clear - whom are more here, so they are bringing more money here, namely salary thereby Arabs. And here and there! 2% - that's where the service, except that the feet even do not kiss, curry favor, interested in health, bringing beer and cocktails with military bearing and waiting for new instructions with servility. The logic of subservient is original if I speak English so that means that I'm .... POLE! Our bracelets after checking-out at 11:25 am (Bus at 11:50), were cut, and when I was about to drink cola at 11:40, so it was not allowed! I was told to pay. After the roll call between the bar and the porter's, my son was put on a new bracelet and he watered the cola the whole family)). Before boarding the bus one idiot with scissors ran up to the son and re-cut his bracelet, evidently thinking that the kid would come back from airport by taxi and drink a lot of cola. I should add that on the eve after check-out, the British were sitting in bracelets with suitcases at the pool and were calmly boozing and not "quietly", and they were brought drinks at the hotel's expense and, more specifically, at the expense of Russians.

Restaurants and bars. Food was monotonous, in the same sense. Breakfast - a guy was cutting sausage and cheese - 2-3 slices per one plate. There were one kind of sausage, cheese and brynza (feta cheese) for breakfast. For lunch: 2 kinds of rice, 4 kinds of undercooked potatoes (French fries, jacket potato, mashed potato, and country-style potato), salads chopped probably by butcher, goulash and chicken. For dinner are the same as for lunch. After closing the main restaurant terrace they did not even bother to open the second half of the hall of the restaurant, so living cooking (kebabs, pasta, fish, etc.) was disappeared also together with the terrace closing. Sparrows and flies in the main restaurant - in the order of things, were looking for the remnants of food on plates. Waiters pull the empty plates directly from under the hands, often without asking permission. Bar at the pool was out of order, Asia House restaurant also did not work, Oasis cafe -was not working after closing the veranda of the main restaurant. Extensive formulation "open till sunset" means that after 17-00 bars do not work. And only a lobby bar and a bar next to GRILL HOUSE are left for having drinks in a large five-star hotel. Italian restaurant - why is it needed? Awful cooking. The Mexican restaurant is quite tasty, but it was very hot to sit outside, where the tables were reserved. Only can say "excellent" about GRILL HOUSE, thanks for the good service, and the food was really very tasty.

Guest relation manager. I was sure that the Guest relation manager is the guardian of the interests of tourists and not dully translates from Russian into English and then from Arab-English into Russian. First time I contacted her about the closing of the restaurant's terrace and was promised that everything would be settled, well it was clear. Then contacted a second time because of the beach towel was stolen at the main pool within 10 min while we were swimming. I wrote a claim letter and wanted to give it to the front desk. So they refused to accept the claim, also said that this is "an open air" as "open space", and the hotel is not responsible for items left unattended. The room also has a sticker near the safe, which informs visitors that the hotel is not responsible for items left inside the safe and outside. Considering that the safes are not bolted to the wall as expected, it turns out that safety of your belongings is not guaranteed throughout the hotel.
I don't want to visit this “resort” any more, and do not advise it to you.
