“First Class 5th Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

Just returned from another fantastic 2 weeks holiday at the Dreams Beach Hotel. This is the 5th year in a row at this hotel and it now feels like home. I have just read another review and it is very hard to believe they are talking about the same hotel! We find Dreams Beach always clean, in the rooms and outwith the rooms. Everyday your Mini fridge is stocked up bottles of water, Coke and Fanta. There are many restaurants on the premises that are all inclusive to pick from, The Pergola is the restaurant we use most on the evenings they are open, the food and presentation that is produced from the very small kitchen is to a 5 star standard and the service is excellent. For 5 years we have visited the Asia House and the Mexican Restaurants, yes you have to pay for these but the food is fantastic and it is a small fraction of the price we pay back home. The entertainment has been improved greatly this year and the team work well together. All staff are absolutely brilliant and treat you like royalty the gardeners, cleaners, waiters, bar staff, pool staff, office staff, by taking time to talk to the staff we have learned a lot about Egypt. We are always made very welcome at Dreams Beach and have made many good friends with the staff there and can't wait to go back next year!

We loved everything about the place. Food, there was always something we liked, you are spoiled for choice in the main restaurant. The Asia house and the mexican restaurant were superb, yes they are an extra cost but worth every penny! Compared in price to a meal out in the UK they are great value. Drinks, you are never more than a minutes walk from a bar. If your round the pool you even get waited on, before your drink is empty a new one arrives! The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh water, coke and fanta left in the fridge. The staff in the hotel can't do enough for you, we were allowed to keep our room on until 6 in the evening on check out at no extra cost. None of us had bad stomachs or any kind of illness during our stay. Used the hand sanitizer before and after meals and it seemed to work. One thing you do need to be careful of is insect bites, i got quite badly bitten on the first two nights. Started using repellent after that and had 1 or 2 more over the rest of the week. Overall we really enjoyed it and would definitely return.

I and my wife spent a week in Dreams Beach as it was my honeymoon. The room was good, hada balcony with sea view. What makes you feel uncomfortable in the hotel is that the hotel managementhas no sense how to deal with the guests. It was my honeymoon and I expected a fruit basket or a honeymoon cake in the first night but nothing like this happened as if they knew nothing about the standard of working in hotels. One of the worst things in the hotel was that mineral water is only put in the mini bar of the room in the first day and if you needed a bottle of water, you had to pay for it. That was very different from most hotels in Sharm that put waterdaily free of charge in the mini bar. Also, in the bars and restaurant the water in the dispensers wasnt mineral. The buffet was the same daily without any change. The service of H.K was good and if you need decoration by towels, you should pay tips for the houseman. The front desk employees were tough except two of them. They had not got the sence of dealing with the guests and the same was with the front office manager. Really, " Birds of feather flock together". I hope the hotel management change these things to be better as a 5 ***** hotel.

well what can I say some people have obviously spent lots of time at the Ritz what ever happened to when in Rome!!! I found this resort to be better than what I have experienced in many resorts abroad remember the Spanish days of old, Uughh, the staff at dreams beach were always attentive ( it did help if u tipped them occasionally usually 1 English pound every couple of days, take plenty they do come in handy, and if u want to u can exchange them back before u return home, food is was I expected from all inclusive I did not find it offensive problem is the Russians always want to be first what the hell were on holiday aren't we theres no rush is there??? only downsides are entertainments not brilliant, (but lots of films on channel 2 in your rooms), and if u take travellers cheques u have to taxi to old Sharm 4 kilometres away taxi about 50 Egyptian return , Thomas cook money exchange shop otherwise u have to travel to naama bay, if u take a trip to soho square near the airport u can shuttle from the hotel a lot cheaper but restricted on times to and from, take loads of money very expensive,
ok for those that expected the Ritz from dreams beach there were 4 of us and we had non problems getting sun beds tip the towel boy and drinks runner they will look after u only need £1 every couple of days s stated earlier.

Room Tip: we were in block 19 near the tennis courts with a garden view adequate for our needs 2 rooms next to...

Lastly, I am going to put this at the top as well - the hotel was fine but the food is very poor, and we are good eaters that ate but compared to what I expected (3-4 star food ) this is definitely not.....

Pools nice, bars nice there - lovely private beach.. gardens well presented. Sister hotel ' vacations 5-10 min walk foc in with the all inclusive.

main bars fine, let down by only serving wine 1-10 PM. local spirits etc fine, beer is the normal lager ewwww watered down.

restaurant - if you go to the ala carte ones it is nice but extremely limited on choice - depending on your tour operator and the deal they have there at the time depends when you can go and they are not open every day of the week.

The main restaurant is iffy, and by UK standards not that clean as to what you expect on a 3-4 star holiday.

I had to complain twice about the non change of table cloths from the previous diners (cattle I think is our viewed status) that had passed through. Dirty cutlery was left on occasions rather than new clean cutlery. It was evident (and later confirmed) that the hotel was way over booked and the hotel wanted the tables turned around quickly. If you watch around you will see what I mean, and hence my score of 3 star overall for this hotel, mainly dragged down by the food.

The show areas outside in an undercover part were riddled with massive ants and it looked liked something out of a post apocalyptic kitchen. All that said the food was very good here but there were queues, we suffered no delhi beli and the pasta chef there was 6*; I cannot say how good, if you like pasta/spag', give this guy a visit and tip him.

Breakfast was potatoes stuff and hot dog sausages and chicken sausages with a variation of mustard sauce / tomatoes or nothing. Cold options there were nice croissants but the other bread tended to be stale, how this could be with such a busy hotel I have no idea. try stopping the Russians putting baps through the toaster with cheese and meat in to toast it.. good luck !!

Talking of cheese and meat, there is no cheese and meat, wait there is luncheon meat and a bit of gouda behind a glass screen with a grumpy guy, no it is NOT free for you to help yourself to. The breakfast is 1-2* ....

Oh and tea, there is no free hot water, you have a flask of tea with 4-5 liptons tea bags suspended midway down, make the most of it. yes you have hot water in the room but no milk, once you use the tea and coffee I think it was a fiver to top it up again.

Free fridge water and soft drinks each day was great ! HOWEVER do not lose the glass bottles for the soft drinks of you WILL be charged.

Maids vey good, rooms were very tired but extremely clean.

Lastly, I am going to put this at the top as well - the hotel was fine but the food is very poor, and we are good eaters that ate but compared to what I expected (3-4 star food ) this is definitely not.....

Room Tip: rooms are 12-16xx near the noise, it does not go off late. yake mossy and anti ant stuff. There a...

this is a lovely place but as the old school report say could do better ..first off the food was more geared towards the russian and polish customers than english ..mash potatoe ,rice, noddles boiled beetroot and cabage for breakfast not for me ..there was 12 people in my party we all complained about the food ...thank god there was a mac donalds down the road ..i think 20 people all eating mac ds and pizza in the reception must have told them something .now before you all shout you are in a diffrent country well iam a chef and they could have made more of what they had by the way the salad bar was lettice cabbage and cuccumber and thats it ....you can get shorts but no wine or water after 10pm by the way the shorts where undrinkable .....dont worry about the troubles sharm is safe ....sun beds dont worrry get down at 6am theres loads we got there at 11am and there was plenty of beds no need to tip the pool boys for a beed but tip them if you want drinks brought over all day .well the good points the rooms are very clean pool great staff great ....tip get the taf taf bus to sister hotel dreams vacation for a night

Room Tip: beware if you have trouble walking some rooms can be a bit far away from pools and restaurants

Fantastic holiday and amazing complex. Something for everybody. Love Boat, Bedouin Night, Asia House and La Pergola were highlights of the holiday. The food was typical buffet all inclusive, plenty of it and great selection.
