“Friendly staff”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

Just returned from 1 weeks stay at Dreams Beach Resort. Check in very smooth taken to room by bell boy, key did not work to start with but was quickly sorted. Bell boy showed us the room and all the facitilites. Bedroom clean and tidy and smart enough, bathroom a bit tired and in need of some TLC. Bath water does run brown the first time you use it but never experienced this again and yes you do have to run the water for a few minutes before it gets warm but it was only a few mins.
Facilites at Dreams Beach are clean and tidy, this is a very big hotel which is not laid out that well. There is nowhere really to sit outside and enjoy a drink unless you want to listen to the Russian singer all night. We found a better area to drink at the sister hotel Dreams Vacation. They have a nice terrace area with a bar overlooking the walkway and the stage, we enjoyed a great many drinks here. The staff were really friendly and always bought the drinks over to us. The down side is they stop serving wine at 10am and the spirts are not that pleasant but they do make good cocktails.
Restaurants- The main restaurant at dreams beach is ok, nice covered area outside but not laid out that well we prefered the main restaurant at the sister hotel which was laid out a lot better and the food seemed more appealing. Breakfast was not the best we have ever had, awful cereals, egg station which was ok but always a que. We had a lovely meal at the Love Boat which we did have to pay for but well worth it and also at the Mexican which again we paid for but well worth it. We also ate at the Pergoda and the Grill House which were part of the all inclusive which were both equally as good.
Pools- if your looking for a quiet pool go to the one at the far end of the sister hotel, lovely hotel and very friendly staff. The pool at the beach hotel is very noisy with lots going on.
Beach- Nice quiet areas on the beach side but need to get there early to get the prime spots. Snorkorling off the jettings is good but being a nervous swimmer was not confident to enjoy.
Enjoyed our weeks stay here, cant really fault anything, you do get pestered by sellers but they are only doing their jobs and are quiet nice to talk to, they do leave you alone eventually.
There are an awful lot of Russians here who seem to think the food is going to run out, you cannot imagine how much they pile on their plates which did annoy us somewhat.
Overal we had a good holiday and the hotel was worth the money we paid to go here but do not expect 5 star probably more like 3.5.

Room Tip: We stayed in block 35 which was between both hotels and far enoough away from any noise. We had a te...

We arrived on the 14th Feb 2013 we were the only guests to be dropped off our room had long black hairs on the shower wall and when we reported the next day the room had just been cleaned again yet the hairs still their. The water in room ran brown. Water cold even after running for long period. The main buffet they did not clean tables between resetting for next guest they just flicked the food and crumbs onto the floor with napkin. The reception had dead fly's and crumbs on floors left all day. The toilets at the beach and pool were dirty and smell of urine floor wet and toilet roll all over floor all times of day and evening. Paths and pool area dirty needed pressure washing. When we showed rep and manager all these items they agreed with our points. This hotel would not be able to bring this hotel up to standard without a full steam clean and cleaned to a high standard daily. We moved to same star rating hotel which we had to pay extra foor as well as making our own way their yet the diffrence was incredible. Rep never came to check if now ok. We found him days later, on pick up day bus late when we phoned him to find out where they were, he said bus would be 10 min after checking, when bus arrived other rep was not happy with us as they had been looking for us for 20 min at old hotel, They rebooked us to a new hotel so new where we were. When you are in a country with so much unrest at the moment you would expect the rep one to notify all parties of your new location and also welcome meeting would be more important than normal.

We arrived at the dreams on 30th December. Check in was fine and the room was lovely and clean. The bed was comfortable and the air con worked well. The bar and reception staff were helpful and friendly but the room cleaning staff soon became a pest as they waited for us to go back to our room before bringing fresh towels and water - they expected a tip every single day and even lay in wait for us to ensure they got their tip! We took our 14yr old blond daughter and we found that we couldn't leave her by herself even for a few minutes - this was because the numerous bar, pool, health, beauty staff would descend on her trying to chat her up! The food in this hotel can only ever be described as bizarre - some very strange chilli dishes for breakfast and there was quite a lot of repetition. We tried lots of the local food and some tastes lovely but te hotel fail to present it very well. The food appears cheap but the chefs try their best with the obviously small budget they are given. The pool area is lovely and clean. The highlight of my trip to dreams was the snorkelling - it was amazing and the dreams has a couple of jetty to snorkel from.

Bath and sink water kept running yellow, couldn,t work the shower, when entered the apartment was dirty smell, coffee table was broken but they had tried to push into place, try to sell you papers from the day before, always someone coming up to you when by the pool asking if you are interesting in treatments etc.
This was supposed to be all inclusive holiday but alot of things you were offered you had to pay. Kept getting asked if wanted to try different types of meals, ie indian/italian but you have to pay for it even though it is in the complex you are staying.
There was no entertainment in the evenings so just had drinks at the bar then it was back to bed.
Food was average, same breakfast choice,s everyday (none of the bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes). Dinner choices were average, not much to choose from. My daughter who is 6 didn,t find anything that she really enjoyed not even the desserts, like the rest of us she had to make do.
The vodka and gin drinks taste disgusting, i couldn,t even enjoy 1 drink so stuck to orange juice throughout my stay.
All the staff are very nice and the service is excellent

Brilliant place to stay. Best holiday ever! Food was very varied in main buffet restaurant. Also have plenty of dining options to choose from: a grill house, Italian, Asian, Mexican, seafood, pool bar and more :) Loads of different pools to sunbathe at and a private beach with amazing snorkelling! Rooms are nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cannot fault this place in any way shape or form! Go here for an excellent stay in sharm el sheik!

A fabulous week spent at Dreams Beach Resort with my 20 year old daughter over New Year. A great time of year to come here. We met lots of great people who had also decided on a winter getaway from the UK madness of Christmas and New Year. Don’t get me wrong, they celebrate both occasions in a big way, but without all the materialistic aspects and with the sun

Spacious comfortable room which was quiet and had a lovely view. Cleaned every day with towels and bedding changed. Hotel was spotlessly clean everywhere and the service of all the hotel staff was fabulous and they were all very attentive, helpful and friendly.

There is a lovely pool area for sunbathing, they provide nice padded sunbeds and a free towel service. There is a pool bar which serves drinks, snacks and lunch if you don’t want to go up to the main restaurant.

The food was variable on a daily basis and could always find something good to eat. Don’t expect English food, the cuisine is aimed to meet the needs of all the guests. Omlettes are great for breakfast and there is always great pasta on offer in the evening.

Hotel is built right on the beach, so beach is private. Great walkways built out to the sea, which avoids having to walk on the coral, which can be rather uncomfortable, to go in to the sea. The snorkelling is absolutely fantastic there, no need to go on any expensive trips, unless you want the actual diving experience.

There are some great spa treatments available in the spa centre on the beach. We both booked a series of back massages during our stay, which were fantastic! There is also a great nail bar and beauty salon, where we both had a full pedicure and a facial. The staff in both of these treatment centres were lovely and very well trained in their relevant area.

Unfortuanately I came down with flu and a chest infection early on in our holiday, which I think I had probably contracted prior to leaving the UK. There is a clinic on site and the treatment was second to none. The doctor was fabulous, no waiting around and he gave me every treatment possible that would get me back on feet as soon as possible, so I could enjoy the rest of my holiday.

In particular I would like to highlight the great animation team, who were really friendly. My daughter wanted to go out to clubs regularly and on her own (given I was really not in a fit state!), this could have been a problem. But the animation team took her out, managed to get her VIP entry everywhere, took great care of her and made sure she got home safely, resulting in her having a brilliant holiday and me not having to worry about her safety.

I would highly recommend this hotel. we would definitely there, hopefully next time without the flu!
