The reception is to a grand scale, staff friendly on arrival, collected our bags and allocated them to the room, no tip expected which was a refreshing change.

Rooms if I am honest were a little dated and shower room needed re grouting but apart from that they were cleaned daily to a good standard and fresh towels were provided.
The hotel seemed to be fairly busy and the grounds well maintained. The Thomson rep was the best rep we had ever come across, he was passionate about his job and very knowledgable of the area.

The entertainment was low key but something there if you required activities during the day along with light music /nightly band which finished most nights by 11:00 pm.
Pool towels were provided throughout the stay.

If I had to complain it would be about the reservation of sun beds and the awful music which thumped out all day every day from neighbouring hotels on the bay competing against each other.
The food is a bit repetitive and if not eaten between 7:00-8:00 then not at warm as it could be. Through our 7 days stay we both had the tummy problem from day two. We needed the meds from the chemist in the old market over the road which cost around £20. These were taken for the remaining of the holiday. We're not big drinkers, kept hydrated and sat under shade as it was extremely hot during our stay.

Thomson need to sort out the all inclusive option no branded drinks, no own brand white rum and once mini bar had been emptied then it was re filled at your expense. On the plus side mini bottles and cans were used for mixers that makes a change.

Service was hit and miss and at times relativity slow in bar area. Staff tried 100% but not got it quite right. During dinner service it's nice to be served from start to finish by one staff member not several in main Buffett area.

Our favourites place to eat was the smaller Resturant al fresco dining sitting outside and the two guys that work there made there guests welcome ,we're passionate about there jobs and encouraged you to return, well done for going that extra mile and making your guests feel important.

Room on departure day we kept on for an additional £35, visas are only required at the airport if you want to go our of the resort area on excursions which at the moment is not recommended. The airport itself is a shambles just long queues everywhere no structure and far to many flights in and out on the same day. Just tourists everywhere too many for airport size.

Just back from the Iberotel Palace hotel. We had a fantastic time. All the things you read here about this hotel are true. Fantastically helpful staff, great food, very clean rooms. This hotel has it all!
We had a sea / pool view room (2316) it was lovely. Kept immaculately clean for the two weeks.
For the first week we ate in the Blue Marine restaurant every night - excellent staff and very good air conditioning, it is smaller and more intimate than the main restaurant. Unfortunately after the troubles in Cairo bookings dropped off for the hotel as some countries advised against visiting Egypt (although there was no sign of any trouble in Sharm) and the hotel couldn't keep the two restaurants open with so few customers. This was a great shame but by no means the fault of the hotel.
The only other fly in the ointment was the music to be heard on the beach coming from the two hotels either side of the Iberotel. I mentioned this to the reps who ask you every day if you're ok and whether you have any problems and this music is out of their control. This is a pity.
I would definitely return to this hotel.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Iberotel Palace, and didn't want to leave! I must start with saying that the trouble in Cairo did not affect our holiday at all, Sharm El Sheikh is so peaceful and calm you would never know there was trouble at all, so please don't let this put you off!

The hotel itself is beautiful, set on a lovely beach with plenty of beds for everybody, there was no need to race to the beach early to grab a spot! The pool gets busy quite quickly but we chose to have a bed on the beach as there is a lovely breeze, and then walk to the pool when we wanted to use it. The rooms are immaculate, and are cleaned every day to a very high standard. Can't ask for any more really!

The food was lovely with lots of variety. We both found plenty of food in each restaurant every night and never went hungry! The beach bar at lunchtime was lovely and the staff down there were great! I would recommend The Toscana restaurant which is the Italian, the food is lovely and really reasonably priced if you wanted to eat there after your free All Inclusive meal.

Although the food and hotel are lovely, the best part of this holiday has to be the staff. Everyone is so friendly and would do anything to help you! Nothing is too much trouble, from arranging trips, sharing their local knowledge or finding you the perfect cocktail! Special mentions to Sabry on the bar, who always had a smile and a chat, and knew what I wanted to drink before I did! And Yousef and the rest of the animations team! He has the most amazing personality who makes everyone smile and get the most out of their holiday! Every member of staff from managers to bar staff to chefs to cleaners, all work tirelessly to make your holiday one to remember!

The Thomson reps Mohsen and Danielle are very helpful, and will share their knowledge of the area and the excursions and do anything they can to help. I would recommend the trip into the old market with them to get your bearings and learn how to haggle! That was good fun and was helpful to do that with Mohsen before doing it alone!

We booked our excursions with Thomsons and did the VIP cruise and the quad bikes, which were both brilliant! I would recommend both of these and think they are well worth the money.

We also went to Soho Square which I would highly recommend! It has bars, restaurants and set priced shops, so there is no haggling and you don't get pestered to come into the shops. This is a really nice place to have a walk at your own pace and do some shopping.

There's not much more to say other than this is the perfect holiday for you if you are looking to relax, eat, drink, have fun, socialise with others and take in the Egyptian culture!

We are already planning our next visit!

We stayed for two weeks in July at the Iberotel Palace. Could not fault the hotel from start to finish. The staff could not do enough for you with always a friendly smile despite the fact it was Ramadan and working in the heat! Food was always to a high standard and with something for everyone would find it hard to believe people struggle with the menu. Special mentions have to go to Sammi in the main restaurant, always pleased to see you and get you sat down in no time, Hasheem (hope that's how you spell it!) down on the beach bar for his special milkshakes and the one and only Ehab the F&B don, thank you again for making our holiday that extra bit special.

The animation team are always about getting people involved with the daily activities. Youseff, doesn't stop! Seriously I wish I had as much energy as him! 'Aquafit' still rings in my head....

One final thank you goes to Mohsen, the Thomson rep for the hotel. Nothing was ever to much trouble, especially on the first day when I'd realised the restaurant only allowed trousers and I'd failed to pack any! We asked Moh were I could buy some which he replied 'I'll take you once I've finished work'. Moh thank you once again!

The location of this hotel really makes it stand out from the others. The old market is on the doorstep and it really isn't as bad as you think. The private beach is a must and if you enjoy scuba diving there is a shuttle boat to the coral beach where the wonderful Aziz will take you there and bring you back for free! Go and find Nemo!

All the staff helped make the holiday one to remember, to all the bar staff a Cubra Libra, no ice please!

Wouldn't normally say this but we will probably be back!!

Firstly, the staff are fantastic, special mentions to:
Youseff - Great guy to meet and be around, makes all the daily activities fantastic to be part of and clearly loves his job.
Alisa - Again, a great member of the animation team (excellent at volleyball as well)
Adel, Sabry and Many - Great service at the bar, nothing was ever too much trouble and all have plenty to say if strike up conversation.
Ehab - Thanks for keeping our room immaculate for 2 weeks.

The hotel grounds, pool and beach are all kept extremely clean. We spent all of our time down at the beach, as the breeze makes the 40 odd degree heat very bearable. We joined in with the french boules and water polo most days as it was a great way to meet people and as I mentioned before the animation guys were great to be around.

The food was good, plenty of choice, even for fussy eaters. Great service from all the waiters. The Italian was a welcome break from the buffet style food in the main restaurant and was of a very good standard, we both had the steak. We also paid for a second visit, again having a starter each and a steak each, and it only cost £18.50.

We only heard the call to prayer music on the first night, we found that if you have the air con on low it drowns it out anyway.

Our room was kept really clean and was very spacious. The walk in shower was great as well. We were in room 1316 overlooking the arena and it was no more than 200 paces away from the beach, pool or restaurant.

We went over to the old market a couple of times as well, it wasn't as intimidating as people were making out. If you just say "no thanks" and keep walking they leave you alone. We brought back 3 handbags (Chloe and Jimmy Choo) and a few pairs of converse and van shoes (all obviously replicas). We paid £15 for each bag and between £7 and £11 for the trainers.

We went to Soho Square as well, not much going on their in my opinion and if you've been to the Ice Bar in London, don't waste your money on this one as after £35 and 5 minutes the novelty quickly wears off. Also, don't bother paying £10 on going with Thomsons, a taxi was only £6 so if you can go as a 4 it's a cheap trip out.

We were kept in the hotel for one night as Thomsons imposed a curfew on guests leaving the hotels due to the trouble in Cairo. Apart from this and reading the news, you wouldn't have known what was going on.

All in all we had a great holiday and met some really nice people and without a doubt we will go back to this hotel.

Just returned from a week honeymoon in this hotel and it was fantastic! Everything is sparkling clean, food is good quality and a wide variety - I'm fussy but I had no problems at all, my husband is a big meat eater and he too was very happy. The staff are incredible! Sabry in the bar, Ossama in the beach bar, Hany, Fatti Moh and Adel to name a few were outstanding and can't do enough to help you, or get you drunk! The location is fine if you are after a quiet holiday, or somewhere to base yourself. The old market across the road is fantastic, but remember you are in Egypt so need to haggle and it is a bit dirty and the men pester you, but they are good hearted and trying to earn a living. Naama bay is a taxi ride away and the dive center is around the corner from the hotel! A fantastic holiday made even better bythe service we recieved in the hotel.
