We've been to the resort a few times so I will just review the last trip. Overall the hotel is super clean. Rooms are very luxurious and comfortable. The hotel itself is gorgeous and its worth walking around and checking out the lovely changing collection of Egyptian art they display.

The food is good but was much better on our earlier visits. We learned there have a been a few changes at the hotel so this must have been the adjustment period.
The pool is very nice although a bit small. And you have to be warned that there is no real sandy beach. There is a long dock with a ladder at the end which plops you in the middle of the sea. This is quite tough if you have kids or if you are uncomfortable w being surrounded by all types of fish.
Overall this isn't really a family resort but its a clean, luxurious, pampering break.

Stayed in August with two teenagers. Excellent service, from room cleaning twice daily to pool amenities. Beautifully clean and impecable attention to detail by all staff. Superb reef straight off the private beach - so great snorkelling for all ages. Very good free classes in yoga and pilates. Beautiful spa. Need to add taxes to menu prices, however, so sometimes difficult to gauge. Overall, first-class five star resort.

Room Tip: Gezira suites close to pool for families.

We've been in FS Sharm on the last two weeks of July 2012 (two adults and one child). Beautiful room, fantastic reef, excellent service (in some cases oustanding, e.g. the management). It is an excellent resort for families; children activities are are among the best we have ever experienced. All the restaurants we had dinners at were extremely good. The s.p.a. is beautiful (on this visit we only experienced the complimentary services, i.e., the gym, the turkish bath, the jacuzzi and the s.p.a. swimming pool).

During our staying, wireless services switched from a daily cost of 90 Egyptian pounds to free, which was nice.

We went for 18 days in July as a family of 4 - two children aged 10 and 4. It was our first visit and we stayed in one of the two bedroom suites on the family deal which was around $290/night B&B. We spend a long time looking for where to go on holiday and we always stay 5 star, but can be disappointed with hotels who advertise themselves as 5 star but when you arrive they are far from it.

I am pleased to report that the Four Seasons completely lives up to all its promises, the services, facilities, rooms and gardens of the hotel are just superb. It definitely lives up to its 5 star promise. I think it is the service that gives a place the 5 star feel and you will not be disappointed at the Four Seasons. All the staff without exception were just fantastic, and really genuine as well, you truly felt like a valued guest and they couldn't do enough for you. It really made our holiday special to be honest and one of the reasons we will be back, because despite having stayed in many many five star properties over the last 10 years we very rarely see this level of service offered consistently over the stay.

The staff also were great with our kids, they played with them, chatted to them, and really made them feel special too which was great. It was great though that under 5s ate free in all the resturants and bars, so our little one mainly ate for free for the whole holiday. You also get loads of free water in your room which we just took to the pool every day so never had to buy water other than if we wanted it with a meal in the restaurant.

One of the real luxuries is there was no reserving of loungers! There are just so many loungers around and a man who sets them up for you with towels, etc, it was just heaven! It didn't matter what time you went to the pool or the beach there were always loungers available where you wanted them. I think that they must just have so many that its never a problem, which is a real luxury.

The other great service was the room service, which was extensive and you could also have many of the restaurant dishes brought to your room. The prices for room service were also reasonable and they didn't seem to add the 'tray charge' that many hotels do so that made it great value. You could borrow DVD's from the concierge and a few nights we just sat in, got room service and a movie, rather than go out for dinner every night.

This really is a truly fabulous hotel and we can't fault much, but there were a few really minor things that I thought could have been a little better:

1. Wifi charges - the charge for the Wifi was steep in the extreme, I think actually given the type of hotel resort they are (i.e. leisure) they should offer this for free, at least in the reception area or public areas of the hotel (there is a business centre where you can get on to the internet but using their PC's there is no WiFi anywhere). If they do charge, they should do a weekly rate or something because people aren't generally there for a few nights only. We did pay for it for a few days but felt that they should improve this as so many people want use of Wifi these days.

2. The kids club was in one of the 2 bed suites which had been converted - it was OK and the staff were excellent, really friendly, great with the kids, etc, but given the standards of the rest of the resort, I didn't think it really lived up to the same standard. I have been other places which have much better facilities.

For potential visitors to this hotel I would advise that you are staying in a five star property so expect five star prices. This didn't bother us because we had factored in basically paying £200/day upwards for food & drink on top of our room rate, because we like having both lunch and dinner on holiday and there are 4 of us. I don't think you can moan at the hotel for this, at the end of the day you are paying for exceptional service and you certainly get that, so in that respect it is good value for money. Just be aware before you go thats all.

The soho square is about a 5 min walk outside of the hotel, there is a duty free shop which sells alcohol but make sure you take your passport. We only went once though, there seemed to be plenty of restaurants and shops but once you have actually stayed at the Four Seasons you don't really want to leave the resort to be honest, as you just get the feeling that nothing would love up to the same standard.

Well done Four Seasons! We will probably stay at other properties now that we have experienced this one.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 706 which was a great location for the restaurants, pool and had great sea view.
