We have chosen this hotel, because of the golf course belonging to the resort and generally good memories from our previous stay there, around 10 years ago. That time, the hotel was operating under the brand Movenpick and we enjoined our vacation very much. Also this time, our small group of 4 golfers, was satisfied, apart of some minor inconveniences. First of all, the golf course maintains in quite good shape, there are not many people using the course every day, so the the play is moving fast and the staff is very friendly and cooperative.
The hotel looks bit tired, but still keeps the old shine and the rooms are large and comfortable. The food, like for the Egyptian conditions, is in a large assortment, rather tasty and attractively prepared. In the option, all inclusive, we had during our stay, the light alcohol beverages, like beer and wines, were drinkable, but strong liquors were terrible and poor quality.
The recreation and resting area, around swimming pool is great and well maintained, but sometimes the music is too loud. Also the beach site, with jetties and terrace restaurant looks very spectacular, including the amazing shelf life on the reef. One of the most irritating issues in the hotel is rules of using of internet. The Wi-FI is available only in the area of the lobby and the access is terribly expensive. For 1 hour - 3 $, one week 80 $. Even if you pay, do not expect fast connection. Anyway, the hotel deserves for the next visit.

We had a wonderful relaxing weeks stay over the new year. All of the staff were v helpful and nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived we were given cold drinks which was just what we needed.

We stayed in the royal section and the room was huge along with the biggest bath I have ever seen. the room was spotless and cleaned everyday. We were a short stroll from everything. we could always get a sun bed and pool side towels and each day cold flannels were brought around at noon by the pool, a very nice touch.
The beach area was simply amazing, something out of Robinson Crusoe. It was just lovely to lie so close to the sea.
The food and choice in all of the restaurants was excellent. the hotel should be praised for the amazing banquet they laid on for news years eve. It was sumptuous. the whole dining area was decorated and it really was great.

We stayed all inclusive, the only down side was that not all the bar areas were all inclusive and some items on the menu eg chocolate brownies ?? You had to pay a supplement. the hotel should make the all inclusive package mean all inclusive. It took a while to understand it.
I would definitely return and from the level of service we received would be happy to recommend.

My grown up son and I stay for one week in January, it was my 5th time in Sharm and my 4th visit at this hotel.
Overall it is a very nice hotel, I like the atmosphare, it seems like it is a nice working place, that means a lot for me. The staff are very friendly, I will like to thanks Yasser at the main pool, he´s really a good guy. But also all the waiters are helpfull and offer a fine service.
The food are overall very good, agreed with a little confusion about what was free or not, we didnt paid for speciel coffee which was mention in all letters. Be more specific about that.
I diffently think you should work with you WIFI prices, I bought WIFI in the room, it works perfect, but it´s too expensive.
I have just ordre two weeks in July/August with a large group of friends, looking forward to show them Sharm and Golf. So please do something with the WIFI prices before summer.
Best regards
Bodil

Exellent international village in the country side.
The reception is set in a grand hall.
Always available shuttle bus to go to the nearby Naama bay or the Old Sharm.
my room (standard),hugeand well appointed and confortable with a balcony overlooking the pool, there are various types, all well kept ,thanks to the professionalism and courtesy of Mr.Shreef Mohamed ,always present and available.
The foods ...delicious, and the cleaning are guaranteed.
When you get to the beach there is a beautiful scenery in front of a style pirate coves, where stands the beautiful blue sea, lush green vegetation and colorful flowers.
The wooden piers and iron are really well made, great for sunbathing and diving.
At this point the reef is fantastic and full of clolorful fishes.
Also for lovers of the snorkeling, there is the possibility to rent at The art of Diving Subex, mask, fins and divingsuit.. Ahmed always available will give you valuable advice and friendliness.
Recommend this wonderful place for families who like to relax but also fun!

I stayed @ the Maritim Jolie Ville golf from 12th-27th December - with my partner and 7 year old daughter.
We had booked an All-Inclusive holiday through a UK tour operator , we have previously stayed in Egypt on an All-Inclusive basis 2 years previous .
We chose this hotel because of the Star Rating & Trip advisor reviews plus this had a heated pool. we have always gone to the Caribbean on a all inclusive, but was unprepared for what we encountered here
The hotel was only 15 to 20% full this was what we were told by the duty manager. So the large number of restaurants that had been mention in the hotels itinerary which appealed to us, a few of these were not open on the days that they were specified.
The Hotel was built about 15 years ago and this shows in the dated decor and corridor carpets and the decor and broken floor tiles in room.there was 3 shops in the lobby but only one of these shops was ever open.
The beach area was like a scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean with areas to sun bath on the man made terraces on the cliff face (this beach area is not suitable for people with walking difficulties) once down to the 3 jettys you were able to see the most beautiful coloured fishes on the reef the jettys had steps going down into sea if you wanted to do some snorkeling or diving if you want to this area was lovely to relax and take in the sun.
The main pool is big and has lazy river with slides this is were we spent most of our time, the pool recreation man (Mohamed was brilliant looked after us and our daughter really well)
Royal wing has its own pool. There are lots of fountains, & dolphins witch spouts water shoots which are not currently in use. Main pool is heated which is good but all of it needed sprucing up - some of it lining was really stained.
There is no daytime animation team so no activities other than diving, golf, spa & tennis.
Dinner is available in main restaurant & there is a big canopied area with a stage where there might be some entertainment if your lucky - or not! It was sometimes on too early. Main buffet ok but nothing special - like eating in a cafeteria some days.
They did show kids films in La Shisha & big screen football as well.
There are also some a'la carte restaurants which you could use in All-inclusive package, Mandarin Chinese - V good, Noodle Bar in same restaurant on different night - also good but you are only allowed 1 dish from the menu. Zaman lebanese though this was the same food as what the buffet served, all of these restaurants are open on a rota system and you get 3 visits per week of stay we changed our vouchers so we could go to the chinese more often. And the Jolie Bistro which is also open but not included in any package - you could get a 25% discount.
There is a Bar in the main hotel called the Ascot - this is not included on All-inclusive - so if you want an All-inclusive drink - which after all you have paid for you have to go out of the main building to La Luna - meant to be a disco. It is kind of a jungle theme, dark, lots of steps, bridge And all this before a convention of young Russians arrived which caused chaos. There were somewhere between 400 to 450. Teenagers or early twenties, scantly dress and disregard for everyone else - we had to go to reception on the Saturday morning complaining about the noise in the early hours of the morning by these young people, all we got was we were told to phone security as and when it happens again and they will speak to the people making the noise, again early hours of Sunday morning 2:30 the noise started again we phone security half hour later noise still going on phone security again and he said he was to busy to sort the noise so we shouted at the young Russians to be quite this was replaced with laughter, so from 2:30 myself partner and daughter did not sleep again to make things worse there was a party opposite our room in the royal wing.
They wore shorts into dinner - when there is a big sign saying "no shorts" brought there own alcohol in to drink in lobby & completely took over La Luna - staff seemed ill equipped or unprepared to sort them out. Luckily they were only there for two and half days but it did seem as if the russians were much more important than us or anyone else staying at this hotel who had probably paid more.
This was not a cheap hotel & I expected a lot more for my money, - Don't expect 5 star luxury. 3.5 star at best. i would like to say a big thank you to George, Mohamid, Ado, and most of the waiters in the buffet and bbq area, these people make this hotel, Would i return to this hotel yes i would, but they need to sort out things.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the royal wing pool.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but the hotel is certainly not 5 star.

The food in the buffet was average but the pool restaurants at lunch were very good as was the Chinese at night. Breakfast was OK but once they ran out of items they were often not replenished.

We were AI and boy do they make it complicated. Fortunately we were on the best package (only luck we just booked AI) but others could only drink at night in the disco which is ridiculous as that will obviously not suit everyone so check what you are buying if you go AI. You couldn't get a drink inside the hotel during the day unless you paid for it in the bistro so if you were watching football kicking of at 2.00 p.m. in the UK you watched the 1st half in the bistro then moved over to the Ascot bar for the 2nd half. It also took us nearly a week to understand what you were covered for food wise and this was down to poor staff understanding of the package as we kept getting conflicting information e.g. we asked if we could eat at night in the Bistro and were told yes but we would need to pay and get 25% discount. When we got there we were given a limited menu which was included in our package so were pleasantly surprised. We also were led to believe that charges would also apply in the Chinese unless it was the restaurant of the day but we found out again that this was not the case and in fact you could eat there every night if you wanted to albeit paying slight supplements for some choices.

At New Year they had a gala dinner at $200 a head so we gave that a miss and found the main buffet better than usual but nothing special.

Pool areas were great but the main pool got quite cramped late in the afternoon when the sun went down as the abundance of trees blocked out the rays. This didn't bother the Russians they simply moved their beds all around you if you were in the sun so it got a bit noisy and frankly uncomfortable. Sundowner the place to go if you want it quiet and spacious.

My friend and I played golf every second day and I have to say found it great golf experience. Teeing off around 9.00 a.m we were round in less than three hours every time. The course had waste areas instead of rough so no time spent looking for golf balls. Not a demanding course but plenty to keep you interested and the water hazards make it a lot of fun with a few risk reward holes thrown in and not forgetting the 6th and 18th which are two stunning golf holes.

Our room had two queen sized beds which were not the comfiest but the room was spacious and well kept. Annoying though that the minibar was not refilled.

Main plus for the hotel were the staff. Keep giving them small tips and they really look after you and they are generally always smiling and always willing to help.

Main gripe was the WIFI. Poor quality and only available in part of the lobby and to make matters worse they charge you a fortune for it and it's a bit underhand as they list the prices in US Dollars and not realising this when I booked it it was a bit of a shock getting a £50 ($80) bill for 7 days intend of the £7 I was expecting. I won't make this mistake again.

Overall a worthwhile and enjoyable visit but probably wouldn't go back to this hotel but will visit the golf course again.
