Great location, a 2 min walk to Soho Square, perfect for a relaxing eve out. Good for smoking shisha and shopping without Hassel. Restuarants new and very good. You can smoke shisha on the balcony overlooking the sea at the hotel which is lovely, in the piano bar. Free wifi and afternoon tea in piano bar was perfect between lunch and dinner. Snorkelling is great here, safe and easy with life guards. Beach is cool, if you enjoy music while you sunbathe. Gorgeous hammock tents to reserve. Plenty of places to get little refreshers throughout the day too. My boyfriend and I wanted to totally relax so we found a lovely breezy spot over looking the sea. All staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. Naama bay is about 20 mins away, hop on the hotel shuttle but reserve your place in advance. They pick you up 2 & half hours later which is perfect.
Hotel is stylish, clean, good food, classier than some hotels in sharm and great value. I was so impressed when we arrived outside that i thought the driver had made a mistake as the photos don't do it justice except the one of the infinity pool over looking the sea. Very romantic! After staying in different parts of egypt iI would recommend sharks bay and the concorde el salam it to friends.

Having recently stayed at Concorde for a week overall it was definitely more of a hit than miss.
The actual resort is architecturally beautiful with the centre piece being the infinity pool overlooking the Rea Sea. This is surrounded by plentiful sun loungers, a pool bar and a good pool team.
Reception was friendly and efficient in all dealings. Accommodation is fine, rooms are clean and comfortable but without a wow factor inside. The bath with an overhead shower was a disappointment and the bath could definitely use an upgrade. We had a perfectly positioned room with the balcony overlooking both the pool and sea and on arrival we had a most entertaining joyride to our room with in a buggy. The room was also cleaned daily.
The bar was also very nice, featuring an outdoor terrace also. The bar staff are a huge asset to the Concorde, they are professional and so friendly and responsive and seem to make a definite effort to get to know their guests during their stay.
The restaurants proved to be the greatest disappointment with the food definitely more miss than hit. Themed evenings are messy and can leave you with very little choice. There certainly needs to be more western influence on the menu in the evening time in particular. All-inclusive for this reason is to be AVOIDED but worth noting is that there is a lovely restaurant as an alternative over the Queen Vic in Soho Square, 5 minutes from the hotel entrance. Also the Italian on-site is not worth bothering with, assuming you are speaking English you will most likely find it very difficult to communicate even your basic order here.
In terms of on-site activities, if you're lucky enough to be travelling with active people you will have a very good choice. Across the road in the sports hotel there's a great choice of facilities and onsite in the front hotel there are some very good watersports. Snorkelling is highly recommended. The indoor pool is small and noisy in the presence of kids. Animation activities could definitely be of a better variety.
The majority of the visitors are definitely Russian and you might find yourself competing with them at the buffet. Otherwise they don't interact (or even smile) so are easy to ignore.
While poolside you will most likely find yourself consistently pestered to book massages, especially when you are recognised as new. If this is on your agenda you may as well do it early as it gets very annoying to be consistently disturbed with the hard sell. The hard sell aspect is also to be found in the shops at the hotel, although it is mild compared to the abomination that is Naama Bay. Undoubtedly you will have this on your agenda, unless extreme experiences are what you are after, don't bother with it, you will want to leave as soon as you get out of the taxi and the intense harassment starts.
Overall the Concorde is a good facility, served well by it's staff, but not worth paying the whopping all-inclusive fee for.

Room Tip: If you can, get a room close to the infinity pool.

We have just returned from the Concorde El Salam having spent 11 nights there. We had a fab time, room and hotel was clean at all times and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The only little thing that I would say that lets the hotel down is the food. We stayed at the hotel on a half board basis and were very disapointed with the food, both at breakfast and dinner time. However we didn't let this dampen our spirits we still had a great time. Most certainly would go back again.

Room Tip: Request a sea view room so your closer to the beach!

We stayed for 10 days April 2013 - the perfect amount of time really.Temperatures were 30 - 35 degrees every day with a breeze ( Back to good old Blighty now and guess what it's raining!!)
The hotel is great, right on the beach with 2 pontoons to snorkel from, which we did every day. We didn't spend any time actually on the beach as we preferred to be around the infinity pool. Although the beach is terraced and stepped it is well laid out and there is plenty of room. The main pool is quite a sight and popular but we always managed to get sun beds, the staff are all great, friendly and helpful and always smiling.
The pool bar is good fun, it serves food at lunch time - burgers mainly. We ate there a couple of days but mostly ate lunch in the restaurant over looking the beach with stunning views of endless blue sky and Tiran Island. Nice selection of salads, chicken, fish, meat - again always served with a smile. The evening buffets are great too - anyone who moans must be the faddiest and fussiest eater ever. There is always a good choice and the theme nights make a change although my favourite night is always Egyptian night as clearly that's got to be what they are best at!!!!
The outdoor evening entertainment is OK , we preferred the piano bar where a charming young man called Zeisl (unsure of spelling!) plays each night from 10.30. I guess you could also count the Russians as evening entertainment as they certainly know how to drink, however some of them would benefit from a few lessons in etiquette and decent manners.....
Our rooms were absolutely fine, overlooking one of the quieter pools. A lot of rooms are refurbished, ours weren't but they were large and comfortable and you don't go to Sharm to stay in your bedroom do you?
We tipped the staff who served us because we genuinely felt they deserved it but I don't believe that this is necessary and think that the management have trained their staff really well.
We did several different water sports activities as we had a ton of kids with us. The guys at the water sports place were great and open to a bit of haggling over price. We got good deals and it certainly added to the experience the kids had.
We have been to 4 other hotels in Sharm el Sheikh and this one was definitely a good choice. I would go back but probably won't as I believe in the serendipity of trying something new!! Also I have only ever been slightly let down when staying at a hotel which didn't have a pontoon to snorkel from which is obviously a huge part of a holiday by the Red Sea.

very good quality..but there is no good connection between each department...the staff in the restaurant always fighting with each other by talking and shouting in front of customers...bad smell for most waiters...not enough staff in the reception..only tow and sometimes one...it was 1.00 pm, time of check in and out...must be more than two !!?

i was sitting in two rooms and the man on reception give me 4 towel cards (6106/6017)...but when i was in the swimming pool the man of towel give me another card num..i told him why..he said number does not matter the important that u have one card..any card for each towel..and while checking out i gave the man on reception 4 towel cards but not the same numbers...he thought i stole a towel and he wants the same number..i told him it is not my problem..it is your staff who give me another card num...and where is the problem if i give u 4 cards..that is mean i did not steal anything i have my 4 cards regardless of the numbers of cards...he said u have to wait tell check that with the towel man..i was in hurry and want to go to airport..i told him u can open my bags and check..then he let me go....i am very Disappointment because it is not my fault...but there is not a good system between each department...

I spent 2 weeks here with my partner. Had a fabulous time. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We blew the electrics within an hour of being in our room, but one quick call to reception and it was sorted straight away. The restaurant was spacious and clean. Waiting staff were very efficient and food choice was excellent.
The hotel is set right on it`s own beach, with jetty and access to snorkelling & scuba diving. We didnt use the pool as we prefer the beach, but from what we saw this was large and well maintained and clean.
The reception and bar area were well presented and staff excellent. Overall a fantastic hotel and we wouldnt hesitate booking another stay.
