“Last Minute Holiday”

Lovely Hotel and good value for an all inclusive place. Couldn't really fault anything but you have to get to the beach pretty early to grab your bed otherwise its gone. All the restaurants are brilliant especially the Italian Via Veneto. The staff are ever so helpful and friendly. My one niggle was with the bars of a night. They kept saying they had run out of vodka or tomato juice when all they want you to do is to buy their cocktails. Brilliant reef for snorkelling. One of the best. Overall a lovely hotel but if placed in one of the far blocks it is a trek to the beach and even worse on the way back as it is all uphill. My big complaint was not with the hotel but with the tour operator Red Sea who solely use the hotel. In the UK we pay over £500 for the week when the Russians pay only £400 and the Europeans are paying between 279 - 379 euros for exactly the same holiday but then that's rip off Britain for you.

Room Tip: You need to book a room in the plaza rather than the resort section if you don't want a ten minu...

Went here with my girlfriend, i am 21 and she is 19.

I will start with the positives; First impressions were very good and the room was great, we were in block 1 and were right by a small pool and bar. Location is great, just by the sea with a reef to snorkel in. whole hotel is very clean and tidy with loads of staff about to do this.

But the negatives; Never had to pay for so much in an all inclusive, the food was very average, i cook but nothing extravagent or anywhere near professional, just family meals, but would say that i could cook the majority of dishes better than these supposed professionals, some meals in the restaurants were extra and some of the staff would really try to push these onto you. The drinks, good selection of local spirits but some of these tasted horrible! completely undrinkable, one example would be the vodka. local beer though was drinkable. but it was all just out of bottles or cans and not always chilled and never iced. but once again on a night they would always be pushing the extra charge cocktails, which had a lot more care and attention taken over them. we resorted to paying for all our drinks one night because otherwise it would have been impossible to get remotely tipsy! All of the staff expect tips, now in general i dont agree with the tipping culture, i dont get tipped for doing my job no matter how well i do it. but all of the staff expect tips and feel like they are fishing constantly. The very worst thing about this hotel is the way they treated my girlfriend, now she is a young attractive girl. but as soon as i was not with her the male staff would be all over her trying to chat her up, it wasnt nicely either they were just really slimy with her, but they would barely dare look at her when we were sat together and almost ignored her presence. i found it quite rude really. it got so bad that she didnt feel comfortable without me. could have spoilt it for her thankfully it didnt.

To sum up, it is a very nice hotel complex. but dont expect too much from the food or drink, i felt like there was a lot of cost cutting. Not 5* but a nice relaxing stay nontheless.

Room Tip: We were in Block 1 and it was great!

I find myself not wanting to put this review on! As this was my 9th visit in 2 n half years! My last in January 10 weeks ago and all was good!
But this time its just didn not seem the place, the lounge bar has gone! This was a place to unwind at night and get away from the dull entertainment Which is now all over the hotel! The food is hit and miss, when its good its great, but when it's bad I'll say no more! This was our first visit where we had to order food from the hotel and outside the hotel.
The drink is like paint stripper!( they said it was due to a fire so not hotels fault) There are so many better places I have stopped in Egypt with a 3* rating drink and food wise! Just no need for 9 places to eat! Even if you are stopping 3 weeks!!!! Less is more when it comes to quality!
But I don't want to sound all bad. The Italian, shish, and Mexican all do fantastic food, maybe because the management are fab, which brings me to the staff! The staff here are the best in Egypt and every time I go back, I look forward to seeing them all!
The Rooms are big, but save ya money and book in the resort, as I don't see any difference apart from rooms and location, that's if you decide to go!
I do hope my negative feelings about this place will go, as I used to call this place my second home, it's a lovely hotel! But I am undecided wether to give it another chance, 1 disappointing stay out of 9 can't be that bad. Can it?

From the moment we arrived at the airport we were well looked after by the Red Sea holiday rep. The welcome meeting
Was very informative about the actual hotel and the facilities it had to offer.we had expected hard selling of there tours but there wasn't any.
Our room was very clean and airy. With very white fluffy towels in the bathroom . The beds were comfortable.
The hotel offered 6 all carte restaurant s and 6 others . The all carte had to be booked the day before but was well worth going for as they were much more relaxed and the table service was a great bonus. The food in most of the restaurant s were good with something for everybody
Overall the hotel was really good and it sometimes was hard to remember it was all inclusive.
The private beach with bar was well worth the money we paid for this hotel.
I would definitely use this hotel again and also red seas holidays as there went the extra mile to assist.

I stayed here april 2012 and absolutly loved this place, choice of restaurants/bars, amount of pools, location of the hotel is 10 minutes from sharm itself by hotel bus or taxi. Stunning views including on site Gardens, Its own provate Diving club, gym which I used wasn't as hi-tech as first thought, the only downside was the entertainment, they're personal on site singer wasn't fantastic although he tried but did get a bit repetative, the rest of the staff couldnt have been more helpful, Just be aware of the bug that travellers to egypt can catch,(pharaoh's revenge) It can be caught through touching their money as it is a dusty country so do take sanitizer when handling currency,I was ill for my last day and all the way home for a few days afterwards. Apart from that Loved the weather which was an advantage.

As stated by others this was a very large complex, suited our needs admirably all we wanted was a winter break when the temperatures were freezing at home, the sun was shining and the sea was warm and great for snorkelling. The brochure should mention the amount of steps.
There were alternative walks to the beach either down the roads or through the landscaped grounds. The food was basic but adequate in the main restaurant but there was alternatives with a wide choice of food available. The staff were most pleasant and helpful, with a good sense of humour.

This is the third holiday to Egypt, the other two in Hurgarda and much, much better in our opinion.
The Sharm Plaza boasts 5 restaurants, the only acceptable being the Italian but even they got many things wrong including bringing the second course whilst the first course was still on the table, but the waiters attitudes were brilliant, we ate there most nights after realizing how bad the others were. The breakfasts were like cattle feeders in my opinion. The room was ok but the bath was not cleaned everyday although we tipped regularily. The bath \ shower water was only warm, the safety bath handle was broken. This is the worse hotel we have stayed in Egypt and being very pleased with the others would never go back to this hotel. Many other guests had similar opinions. At all times the service staff were very good as always in Egypt
