Just back from a wk stay in whot can only be discribed as a perfect hotel offering a complete package , had read some reviews about food aand rubbish around the hotel grounds both of which guests must of dream'nt .There was so much choise of food i find it hard to see how people could'nt find something to there taste ( i do wonder wot type of food they live on back home!! ) most meal times there was approx 10 meat & fish dishes + pasta , pizza and hot veg amazin salads the list goes on as regards to food was cold if they didnt pile there plates to breaking point maybe it mite have been hot before finaly finding it at the bottom anyone would think it was gonna dissopear we never had a cold dish as we had little but offen. With regards to rubbish we didnt see any other than where it was supposed to be . the staff were fantastic very freindly in the restuarant they have remember what you drink and its on your table before you return with your food and is refiled 4 the duration special mention to Ibraham & Monam at breakfast and Mohamad at lunch & dinner times they worked tirelessly all week thankyou. I would also like to say a big thankyou to Mahamood? not sure of spelling who was the cleaner of our room 4102 it was spotless everyday . We checked out the italian restuarant too it was exerlent our waiter Ramadam was not only a very good waiter he also took time to chat to us about the local area which was great thankyou, So all i can say is a big THANKYOU to all of your very hard working staff who made our holiday great we will return again next year

This hotel has been slated by other travellers by saying the food is terrible, the place is dirty, terrible litter, hard beds, the rooms are dated etc.
This is TOTALLY UNTRUE. The place is kept absolutely spotless and is free of litter. But then if the lazy people who rather put their rubbish on the floor instead of the numerous litter bins it would be always tidy. But then they are probably the people who complain that the place is untidy. As for the food there was eleven choices of meat, fish, pasta, vegatables, potatoes, salad, soup, pizza and there were even joints of meat - lamb, chicken, beef and even pork one night. The mind boggles as to what some people eat at home. Another complaint was that the food was cold but if people pile it on so high, what you have at the bottom would be cold. The staff are so so so friendly and have a lovely sunny disposition. Cannot fault this hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed for a week at this hotel. We both went with a very open mind as we had seen some of the reviews on here but the hotel was lovely and so where the staff. For the people complaining about the fridge not being cold enough this is because if you do not leave a car in the holder then it turns off and so does the air con. Food was a lot of the same things most nights but always something edible. DO NOT USE MCDONALD'S delivery as some others have suggested we used it on my last night and ended up with food poisining and still nearly a week on I'm unwell. Other than this the hotel is a lot nicer than some people make out!! Go with an open mind and you will be happy. Also expect a lot of Russians !!

my wife and I stayed for one week from 3rd Oct to the 10th. we found the hotel to be very clean and friendly. The staff worked long and hard to make our stay as pleasant as can be.
the food is good and plenty of choice for all types, we never had a bad meal there, some people were moaning thats its just 'ok' and 'repetitive' but i dont know what they expect, if they want egg, chips and beans, simple answer is dont go to a foreign country stay at HOME!

We tipped the room chamber maid - Mohammed - on the second day (and last) and every day from then on he would create something on the bed for us, butterflies, swans and fresh flowers, a nice little touch we thought.
We also tipped the bar staff and our waiter and pretty much got the same treatment, once our glasses were half empty they were instantly refilled especially in the restuarant from our server Saide, couldnt ask for better service.
we ate in the italian once and thought it was very nice and would have happily paid for the meal even though as Thomas Cook guests its for free, the same goes for the O Grill restuarant at lunch time.
our only critisism of the Hotel was the pool, this was absolutly freezing, and i mean FREEZING!, we spent our time around the middle pool where they do the smoke pipes on the nighttime. can the management confirm its chilled?
We have never experianced a pool so cold, we ended up taking showers rather than go in the pool and so did other guests. There were plently of sunbeds but it was October after all, i would imagine at peak season it would be very busy.

we tried snorkling off the pier and the sea water was lovely and warm we were told it was 28 - 30 degrees from the rep, the snorkling is a must, the coral and fish are must sees.

we had 2 nights out in Sharm, one in Soho Square and the other in Naama Bay. Sharks Bay is a purpose bulit shopping centre with shops, cafes, bars and restuarants, its very nice and you dont get any hassle form the shop owners unlike Naama bay where every shop, bar, taxi rank cafe try and drag you in, its very annoying after a while and scary when they are grabbing your arms and trying to pull you in. we used the hotels taxi service which is excellent, they drop you off and collect you at the same place at an agreed time.

we would deffinately recommend this hotel and Sharm El Sheikh, the weather is fantasic and the hotel is just as good

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking time to share your opinion about stay in Meliá Sharm Hotel. Your feedback is very important for us.
Regarding swimming pool temperature, in winter time one of the pools will be heated. But in summer season (till 1st November) the temperature of air around +40C and it's not possible to heat the pool. It will be too hot. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
Once again thank you for your comments.
I look forward to welcome you back at Meliá Sharm.

Have just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday at the Meila Sharm 4th - 11th October. We wanted a week of relaxing in the sun and being looked after and that is exactly what we got. All the staff are great, cannot do enough for you and make you feel special, from the pool guys, bar staff, waiters and cleaners. I was worried about the food before going having read some of the reviews, but can honestly say you were spoilt for choice at every meal. I can be very picky but always found something delicious to eat so ignore any negative comments. The setting and pools are just great, the rooms spacious, our bathroom could do with updating room 5026 getting a bit tired but that did not spoil our holiday. Thomas Cook guests can have lunch at the Grille restaurant by the pool an absolute must. The beds have very hard mattresses, we asked for ours to be changed to a softer one and this was no problem. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here last week, the hotel is in a good diving-snorkeling location with one of the better reefs in the area just in front of the hotel. In the diving centre they will treat you very well (once you start diving with them they wont let you stop!!!). The private beach is huge and spacious, never crowded, with an amazing reef. The rooms, swimming pools and food are the average in a 5* in sharm. The housekeeper MOHAMED was the best: he is an artist of the towell folding doing crocodiles swans and all sorts, allways asking us if the room was ok, if we needed anything... The bar staff is friendly, in speciall Mena and mahmoud. In general very good hotel, location and services.
One bad thing: the guys from the hairdresser shop are really anoying, Trying to do your eyebrows, treatments... And they dont accept a NO as an answer. If I was managging that hotel that would not be happening there. The other reps are ok, is just the people from the massages and hairdresser. How irritant when you just want to relax and do your own thing.
