This was our first trip to Sharm El Sheikh and we wanted to fly away from UK to a hot destination in March 2013. Also this was a first family holiday with our 10 month old baby. The hotel was nice and pleaseant and staff were more than accomodating.

I would classify the hotel as 5 star and we went all inclusive. There was a good selection of food and our main purpose was sunshine, relaxation and comfort. We were given a fabulous room on the 8th floor, but annoying to get to with baby and pram as we had to take an external lift.

Wife didn't like the original room and hotel was more than helpfull in changing. Also extending stay for a late check out was no problem either. Going all inclusive allowed to plan around baby and not having to worry about additional food bills.

We didnt explore the evening disco, spa or entertainment but did venture out to the 'strip' and old market. No real complaints about the hotel and can endorse staying here.

We spent a wonderful week with great food in 3 different restaurants, nice people and a very clean environment. The "Beach Boys" were very friendly and always tried to help. Slices of oranges and melons were distributed on the beach a couple times a day and water and other drinks was served as well. Snorkeling is great and it made us feel like in the movie "Nemo"! We only stayed in the hotel the whole week but at Naama Bay there is a lot of entertainment and also you can book daily trips for snorkeling and diving.

Room Tip: Rooms in the bungalows are more quiet

This was our first time in Sharm. Although we were not enamoured with the resort of Sharm, if you are going for a week to guarantee sunshine, as we were (being from the UK), then this hotel is perfect.

The main asset of this hotel is the staff. They were absolutely fantastic in the main, and they could not do enough for you. When you walk through the door, they sit you down, provide you with a drink and check you in personally without the need to queue at reception, and that sets the tone for the treatment that you can expect during your stay. The service at the bars - the lobby bar, the beach bar and the drinks service during the day at the La Scogliera was fantastic as the staff were all extremely polite, attentive and hard working. The food at the Scogliera and the Corralo Rosso was excellent.

Our room was a superior/deluxe room that was in the two story buildings away from the main hotel and looked out over the Red Sea, It was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We stayed All Inclusive which was fine, My only slight 'issue' was that as this hotel is not all inclusive for all guests, you did feel as though you were missing out on some even better food and drink options that you could pay for, and we did end up paying for one of the 'themed' meals one night, just to try some other options.

A final mention to 'Bob' who worked at the towel station who was extremely helpful and friendly, the waiters at La Scogliera (day and night) and the bar staff in the lobby and the waiter who served us breakfast on the patio of La Terraza (Farhid?) who were all so friendly and attentive - the hotel should be proud of these staff.

Very luxury place. Attentive service. Varied food. Not overcrowdet. A lot of free sunbads. Beautiful green and flowers. Quite nice reef. Close to the centre (free bus). Fine spa. Only one problem - not direct connection with the see - need to use ponton bridge.

I am not normally one to place a review of trip adviser however i use it all the time my wife and i and quite fortunate in that we travel and visit quite a lot of country and different hotels.

However i must admit this hotel was outstanding in all areas they care about what they do and how we as a costumer perceive them. I went with my wife and our friends it was our 20th wedding anniversary and i contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to order some flowers for the room and to ensure that i had a good room with a balcony i must admit they covered all basis and our stay was excellent.

I am fussy about food however i must admit breakfast can be a little bland at times however the rest of the meals are top notch the best food we had during our stay was the Mediterranean restaurant the service and food was outstanding my wife had the duck and wow it was good in fact i wish i choose the same thing. The Asian restaurant is good however there was no comparison between the two the med restaurant wins hands down. the main restaurant is also excellent with plenty to choose from and always to a very good standard. the pool bar also very good however the beach bar dose do the same food and you have a shorter wait as it tends to be quite busy on the pool bar.
We also had a Romantic Meal that was Outstanding i was escorted around the grounds by the Chief Chef (Mohammed) who showed me all the areas that i could pick and let me taste the wine that we could have with our dinner and on the evening they really did make you feel as if there was no one else it was fantastic however you have to have the lobster meal it was beautiful.

The Hotel and my room was always impeccably clean and you always see someone cleaning we even had the old towel animals however one day we come home to find a do not enter sign on the door and music blasting from my room so i opened the door to find the place in total darkness and a strange man on the bed lol please see the attached photos the man was made from towels and had my cloths on it was excellent and i have never seen that before in any hotel i have to say well done you got me lol.

A few of the workers i need to mention as i believe they make the hotel and the atmosphere BOB the towel and life guard thank you.
Magic always made us smile.
Adel Pool Bar fantastic guy watch his cocktails they are lethal lol.
Mohammed Lobby bar always looked the part and a really nice guy.

I could mention loads of names and i would be here all day these people work hard for us and are proud of the hotel, they are a family and make you feel and that you are the most important people around and that's all you can ask for this place it can be pricy but to be honest if you want quality, professionalism , outstanding service and total relaxation then it is worth every penny. If i had one recommendation it would be water i believe that there is not enough water points around the hotel and yes all the bars give you as much water as you require in the all inclusive package if you ask for a full bottle at the bars you will have to pay for it seemed a little silly as it was free by the glass?? but that id just a recommendation and by no means and complaint at all.

Again i wish to thank everyone from the Stella Di Mare for a outstanding holiday and i am looking forward to my next visit later on this year or the beginning of the next one.

All the best Mark Paxton
