Rooms big and modern , waterpark excellent , food ok could always make a meal . Service poor no waiter service which is a shame as we have stayed in the coral sea aqua 3 times and you didn't have to move from your sunbed to get a drink as the bar staff came around the pool with trays of drinks this service continued off a night in the restaurant and bar. Had to queue to get a drink at waterworld ,sometimes 20mins !!!!! Charged for drinks in specialized restaurant's. Animation team fantastic always stopping for a chat , always upbeat after working 16 hours a day. My two children aged 11,14 had a great time and have hounded us to book again for next year , which we just have so will be returning in August 2014 , hopefully they will have more staff and start giving customers the service that we pay for . All in all my only negative is the service and if the hotel sort this out it will have everything you could wish for in an all inclusive resort . Beach, waterpark, loads of sunbeds, nice pools and a great animation team .

stayed at this hotel 15th august till the 26th ... what can i say fantastic holiday yet again it was my partners 8th visit and my 7th .
There are lots of changes being made to make the hotel better .... rooms were spacious and comfortable and kept very clean by our cleaner ahmed who did a fantastic job, our room had a huge balcony we were situated on the 2nd floor .... until we got upgraded by the hotel to a different room that was on the ground floor , we was upgraded to one of the rooms with a kids den ... again this room was spacious and had a seperate bedroom which would be fantastic for someone with kids as the kids room also had air conditioning and flat screen tv, we was situated just at the chess area so we had not a far walk to the pool on a morning.
Dine around restraunt food was plenty and lots of variety but whilst we was there they took off the covers that kept the food covered and left the food open i felt that this made the food colder and didnt like the idea of food being out in the open , we did speak to one of the managers Mr Manoli about it who did say it was a temporary thing till the new equipment arrived, you can see that the changes that they are making is good, do feel that due to there being so many younger children visiting this hotel that a kids buffet area would be a good idea kids love simple stuff like pizzas chicken nuggets ect but they were on the same as adults and they actually take that on board and put a kids buffet area in place.
The italian restraunts food was excellent good choice of dishes and very tasty food only downside to the restraunt its outside where there is no air conditioning so sat in the heat in august even in the evening was too unbearable.
Mermaid restraunt indian in the evening food excellent again dont expect it to be like an idian you get at home as its not but the chef makes excellent tasty dishes.
Stonegrill restraunt due to be opening soon i for one cant wait for this the signs were up but it was due to open until september so a little dissapointed but we did go over to the coral sea aqua club and went to thier stonegrill had an amazing night food delicious and service very good it wasnt expensive either.
There are lots of places open for food during the day so you wont go hungry there are snacks also over in the waterpark during certain times of the day.
staff very friendly who do work very hard in hot conditions they will always have a smile for you but how they are spoke to by some guests and some of the children is disgusting manners cost nothing so please remember they work long hours they spend months away from their families be polite.
Animation team are fab team was run by giselle who did a fantastic job ... team consisting of the 2 best boys luigi and bob then theres callum then the girls lauren kaysha beth larissa they also work very hard aiming to please the guests and the kids........... we dont tend now to go to the shows on an evening as we are frequent visitors to the hotel the shows to us are repetitive and we seen them all before, the shows are good dont get me wrong they get everyone involved but were just happy either going outside or sitting on the balcony or in the lounge.
reception staff very friendly and will sort out any problems if any are encountered.
luggage staff are good i sometimes wonder how they manage to carry all them heavy cases special thanks to ashraf sam mohammed and the new boy moustafa who works round the pool as towel boy during the day.
And there is one person that i cant forget ...... Julie guest relations she does an excellent job she will deal with any queries that you have and get it sorted immediatly infact i would personally rather speak to julie regarding any problems if any arise than speak to the thomsons staff .... would like to say a big thankyou to julie for organinsing my partners birthday celebrations we had an excellent day see you soon :)
well i had only been home 2 and half weeks and booked our visit for october this year ... where we will be returning with the kids and young adults so on the countdown to go back to our second home
i hope this review helps its an excellent hotel and im sure you will have a fab time what more can you ask for you got fantastic hotel with a waterpark hot weather and excellent staff !!!!!!

5th visit to Egypt and 4th stay at this hotel although it is the first since the Waterpark opened.
We stayed for the first 2 weeks in Sept and were at first a bit apprehensive in case the Waterpark had ruined what was a great hotel. I can safely say that it hasn’t, instead it adds to the hotel providing yet more options. I have already booked and paid for our 5th visit next year!

I’ll do a summary in order to easy reading:

Building and rooms: all exterior work has finished and in addition to the waterpark other noticeable changes were the refurbed rooms of which we were lucky enough to have, these are modern, well equipped with new flat screen TV, huge comfortable beds and everything else is new including the safe!

Staff: the staff here are awesome, always have been, they never expect or hold their hand out for a tip and are always polite, friendly and up for a laugh. Those who say otherwise have most likely acted in a manner to cause a reaction. To name but a few of the stars who made our holiday Karam, Mohamed and Yasser in the Dine Around, Alaa restaurant manager lovely chap! And finally Mohamed in the waterpark, the guy is a legend great with kids, very helpful and a credit to the hotel and the giant he Croc made from towels for us was loved by our daughter (photo attached)! In Egypt tipping is customary, not expected if someone provides what you feel is good service you may wish to tip. We never tip until the last day of our holiday unless exceptional circumstances occur which can and have happened.

Food: We have never had upset stomachs in Egypt as we follow 2 simple rules, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and don’t use the hand santisers, long as you keep your basic hygiene these aren’t required and I believe can cause some of the tummy issues.

Dinearound: is still a superb standard and no matter what the theme night we always found something to eat. Breakfast there is a great choice from cereals to pastries, grilled chicken or made to order omelettes.

Mermaid Bar: great alternative for lunch sea bass and chips recommended!

Pirates Bar Waterpark: again another great option for lunch well cooked food.

Italian Restaurant: superb food, still the best steak fillet in the world, only thing I would say is when busy service can be a little slow as they don’t have enough waiters so recommend booking no later than 1930.

Snack bar waterpark: open 1100 to 1200 and 1630 to 1800 food is okay, chips hit and miss but the fish is amazing. The ice cream stall also opens at this time but Ramon was forever opening it at least 10 minutes late, would then wander off but would be sure to close bang on to the second, a very annoying chap.

Waterpark: surprisingly peaceful due to no swim up bar, well designed and safe, just remember to be a responsible parent and your children will be fine, there are many life guards on duty some of which get a bit whistle happy and have some daft rules in place which defy common sense but again with simple chat these can be easily overcome. Plenty of loungers and good facilities.

Main Pools: we avoided these as usual, as they do get loud and very Butlins like with the entertainment and swim up bar with some people drinking to excess like they are in their local pub. The people who come and drink from 10am get very drunk, act loud and excrete in the pool is not the fault of the hotel, it’s just a shame First Choice don’t vet holiday makers first and refuse the dregs of society regardless of the money. However this didn’t ruin our holiday and does not reflect on the hotel facilities or service supplied by staff. We opted for the beach or water park daily.

Beach: clean, safe, peaceful with plenty of loungers and again good staff, just wish the jetty was longer and had steps not a ladder to get into the sea as a nightmare with small children.

Thompson Reps: The team leader is utterly useless, we had a minor complaint after an excursion which was ruined for our daughter by the guide and should have been quickly and easily resolved, we complained on the Wednesday, chased up on the Friday by the Sunday still not resolved and ended up with a complimentary late checkout. Apparently they couldn’t get a response form the excursion company which doesn’t say a lot or they just didn’t bother either way really poor show. Corrina and Kayleigh were great hopefully one may soon get a promotion.

Entertainment: we didn’t bother with either day or night entertainment as usual, but we did speak with all members of the animation team and must admit they were a great bunch.

Finally, change your money up in Egypt use the machines at the hotel as you get 10.75 Egyptian to the English pound, much better value than changing in the UK!

Room Tip: Ask to have your room sprayed at least once per week to kill Mozi's and bugs.

Me and my partner spent 10 days at Coral Sea Waterworld at the end of August and had a fantastic holiday.

The hotel itself was spotless with cleaners and gardeners working all the time to keep the resort clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. The waiters and staff in the restaurants work extremely hard and are so friendly which really contributes to a brilliant holiday at coral sea.

The porters that bring up your bags will expect a tip which is quite annoying but we were aware of tipping around Egypt before we booked.

Our room was absolutely lovely! Was spotless and cleaned to a high standard every day with some brilliant towel art too. The bed was huge and fairly comfortable, there is a safe in the room which you choose your own password for which I'd recommend using as its free.

There are 3 restaurants at the hotel (the main, the Italian and the Indian). You can visit the Italian and Indian restaurants free once per week for your evening meal. We tried both and the food was brilliantly presented but still fairly average quality. You also have to pay for your drinks which is frustrating when its the same drinks your all inclusive has paid for...however our bill only came to about £3 so it's not too bad. Both of these restaurants offer lunch too which we found better than the main restaurant and it also means you don't have to get dressed to go into them which was nice as they are outside.
The main restaurant we found quite average...some days were better than others but there was always lots of choice.The chefs here are brilliant and make fresh eggs in the mornings and fresh pizza and pasta at other meal times.
The food does get repetitive but so do most other all inclusive hotels so you kind of expect this. There was always something different to try if you wanted to though.

The pools are fantastic! The main larger pool was always lively with music and the animation team playing games etc. However if you do not want to join in the games there is a deeper part of the pool which is less busy and nice to just chill out listening to the music.
We had issues with children going to the toilet in this pool 4 times in 1 week! It was disgusting and meant the pool had to be closed for a couple of hours each time. So if you have young children please ensure they go to toilet before getting in the pool or are wearing swim nappies as it ruins everyone else's day by the pool.
There is also a smaller pool which is not as lively as there is no games here so if you'd rather chill out and read a book by the pool without being disturbed then this is the best pool.
There are members of the spa and diving teams that walk round the pools and try and sell you things but it is not as bad as people have made out in previous reviews. The first day we did get asked a lot and weren't really left alone which was extremely annoying...but after saying no they left us alone and I was hardly asked the rest of the holiday. They are friendly and will just chat to you as well which is quite nice.
The waterpark is brilliant!! we loved the lazy river and all the slides...always lots of sun beds here too so you don't have to rush and get up early to save them. The staff here were always very friendly and chatty which was nice. There is a wave pool in the waterpark which is quite good and nice to just sit in when it gets too hot. The kids bit looked brilliant too so lots to do for children as well.

The hotel grounds are beautiful! The hotel is pretty much on the beach and the views are lovely. The beach isn't the best beach as the sand is a bit grainy and the sea is very shallow for about a mile out, but is still very pretty to look at.

The animation team are absolutely brilliant! Always so full of energy and so friendly which really made the holiday. There was always lots to do during the day and lots to do for kids too. There was something on each evening in the amphitheatre. Some of the shows were good and some awful. e.g The professional magician was good but the belly dancer was very boring. The animation shows were entertaining and give you something to do whist having a drink in the evening.
The animation team also did nights out every night after the show which is good for younger people. We only did one night out as some were quite expensive. We went to Pacha with the team and other guests which was good (Full of Egyptian men obviously but a good experience.) This is a good way to get to know the animation team and other guests.

Choice of excursions are good...Soho square was lovely and hassle free! When leaving the hotel to go shopping etc.. you get hassled so much which is horrible but after the first time it is more expected and easier to say no to. Do not even look at the camels outside the hotel as you will be harassed for money. The shops in the hotel are good and much more genuine...if you're buying cigarettes I recommend using the hotel shop for this as the shops outside will be cheaper but can be fakes and are not always sealed properly.

Overall we had a brilliant holiday. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff and animation team are all so friendly its lovely. There is always something to do in the day and evening if you want and also its a lovely place to chill out and sunbathe. Pools and waterpark are fantastic and the weather is amazing! Always hot, never a cloud in the sky and there was a windy breeze most days which was really nice and needed!
We would definitely consider returning in the future.

Family aged 16 to 45 had a great fun filled 2 weeks. This was our 5th time and we got our plaque on a tree near the beach. As I've reviewed this hotel every year I'll keep it brief.

Entertainment - Bob was brill. Always fun and informative. Looked after us all really really well. Thank you :)
The others were great too. Well done guys and well done Luke in leading them.

Rooms - loved the new rooms. Thanks to the hotel for putting out group together.

Food - the dine around didn't have as much choice as previous years. We still enjoyed the food though and there are more snacks available now. The Italian and Indian are still yummy.

Spa staff - still rude, pushy, annoying and want to charge over the top prices (£60) for a horrible room with no relaxing music, no candles, and still you in a corridor and tell you to wash off your own face mask. Also bragging about making 2k a month is not cool. Sort it out!!!

Bar staff - nabil, Ahmed are very good bar man. Miss you guys.

Cleaners and gardened never stop either. Can't fault them.

Would I go back? You bet :)

We arrived at the hotel on 27/08/13, in the evening and before we even checked in we were sent down to the restaraunt to grab some food, which was perfect, and we had no complaints about the food for the next two weeks, and believe me I am a fussy eater. There was a different food theme every night and so many different things to choose from. The quality of the food served was excellent and the staff within the restaraunt were amazing.

Following food we checked in and were shown to our room, a double standard room (2213) with a pool view and sea view. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard, and our cleaner Mohamed couldn't do enough to help you, whatever you wanted he would get. The A/C and safe within the room were a welcome addition given the stifling heat and obvious needs for security.

The waterpark facilities were excellent, as were the other pools within the hotel. The beach was also clean, and the sea perfect. The Aquarius diving club trips were well priced, we got an hours water sports for 6 of us for just £55 for all of us (Bargain)

The staff within the hotel worked long hours but were always friendly and would do anything for you, I cannot fault the staff within the hotel one bit. My father in law injured his foot whilst there and one of the life guards A.Fattar tended to his injury, constantly bringing him ice packs for his bruised and swollen foot.

All in all this is a fantastic hotel, and I cannot fault it one bit, please don't let the bad comments put you off, because I cannot honestly say I do not agree with any of them in the slightest, and you will not be dissapointed.

A special mention to the animation team who all work exceptionally hard to make your holiday a worthwhile experience. They were also great with the kids. For us Sharm really is our second home and I will be booking to go back to this hotel as soon as possible.

Thank you all for memorable holiday. The hotel deserves it 4+ star rating.

This was our 4th year at the coral seas and it gets better every year we know we are welcomed there the people at the hotel are second to none they are always very helpful and the new waterworld was amazing our 12year old grandson can't wait for 2014 mostafa ,rabad,at the beach,swimpool,and waterworld are fantastic guys you would ever meet we still keep in touch on Facebook the food is good in all the food places grandson Tom went windserfing last year and again this year sambo who works aquarious is a fantastic chap lovely with kids .peter who has the shop in hotel with his friend the tortoise named sherika!! All wonderful friends . The rooms was fantastic if we needed any tea,coffee, anything at all we only had to ask.there is a cleaner called sherif if you are lucky enough to have him on your room level he is an angel love him to bits the best as I've left the best till last see you soon coral seas
