I'm going to start this review on a positive, and the only one is the staff, if you go to the royal oasis the staff WILL make you're holiday from the guys on the front desk, to the bag handler (beware this guy is a rather cheeky chappy, in a good way), the bar, kitchen and pool staff are all fantastic.

The room: we booked a family room for 4 people and only got three beds (this could have been an issue with the agent), the bathroom was dirty, all the fittings were broken, paint on all the fittings, room key kept failing, lamps in room all had snapped plugs.on the plus the View was amazing.

The pools, the hotel has 2 pools and the pool that over looks Nama bay can only be described as a health hazard, and really is not safe for small children. The second pool is much cleaner and safer and would highly recommend using this pool with children or you risk a trip to a+e.

The food, the food is very simple food and maybe caters more towards a Russian market with some of the options, but the dining room is clean and tidy and the food is of good quality. The food is full board not all inclusive.

Drink, unless you drink ouzo there really isn't much choice, beer is available but runs out after lunch, drink is in no way all inclusive.

Location. Central, with amazing views. Highly recommend checking out Hollywood (pronounced holly ooood) and Fantasia. Also the excursions are cheaper from the guy on wind beach and we found he offered better packages.

The long and short of my trip, the hotel wasn't upto the standard described and we were very disappointed, but we really did have the most amazing time in the end and met the most amazing people (the staff) I really don't know what else to say as I'm confused myself, but if you end up here, give the guys a chance they won't let you down.

One of the worst holiday ever!!! We had an all inclusive package deal for a "4 star" the food was VERY POOR and was not fresh at all, getting drinks in plastic cups can show you what the standard of this hotel was, the staff are VERY lazy but when told or given money to do something they will do it within seconds. The room when we came was dirty and the bed sheets felt like they haven't been washed. The fact that they knew what time and day we were coming shows you they don't care just want your money. Would i ever go their again? The answer is HELL no and i am advising everyone here not to waste your money, you are better of at a branded hotel. p.s. don't let the pictures fool you.

I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Royal Oasis and can honestly say that it is not as bad as some guests have said.Of course all is not well. The Bathrooms and Floors could do with a good clean up. When we checked in,the room was dusty ,however the bedding and linen was quite fresh and as it was 4am ,we decided to rest for the night and sort out any problems later. The next day ,after a word with the cleaner Abdul ,we returned from lunch, and found the rooms, spotless and smelling fresh . Extra towels are provided and the room were cleaned everyday with plenty of toilet rolls and fresh towels and bed linen.
We went All inclusive and It was very good value. Breakfast consisted of Fresh Bread, Bread rolls ,Pastry,Hot and Cold meats,Two different cereals,Butter Jam Orange drink,Tea or Coffee and the chef can make you an omelette or fried eggs. Lunch was a choice of different salads,Pizza,Fresh made pasta,Rice, Vegetable or Bean curry,Potatoes(Different ever day,Roast,Boiled,Mash.Creamed) Sauteed Vegetables,Fish Or Calamari,Fresh Fruit,6 different types of desserts, inc. Sponge cake with either Jam topping or Chocolate with whipped cream,Jellies,Local Egyptian desserts,Tea or Coffee and an Orange or Mango drink.Dinner used to consist of Fresh salads,Pizza,Pasta, and an alternative of Roast Beef or Chicken every other day with all the accompniments as Lunch.Monday and Thursday are Grill Days with BBQ chicken or mince Koftes. There is plenty of choice for every one and you can vary your meal every day. However if you staying more than a week it might feel repetitive. If you decide to have a lie in and miss breakfast, then you can get Tea or Coffee from the poolside bar with a bread roll and cheese.Soft drinks and Local spirits are free from the Pool bar between 10am and 10pm.
The pool is nice and clean, but as its winter, the water was cold. The weather at this time is sunny with temp. around 25oC,however it gets quite chilly in the evenings.
The best thing about Royal Oasis is the location. It sits on a cliff overlooking Naama Bay and you can walk down the steps to the bay in 5 mins. There are about 140 steps and they and not too bad.I am partially sighted and I managed to go up and down with a little help from my family as there are railing to hold on to.The steps are not carved into the cliff as some reviewers have mentioned, and there was no rubbish or broken glass anywhere. This is the easiest way to walk to Naama Bay,but if you have mobillity problems, its not for you.
The Staff at the hotel are fantastic, from the pool and towel boys, the bar staff and especially the restaurant staff in particular,Mohammed the duty manager and his team, who always made us feel special and could not do enough for us.Also Abdul the cleaner who really made an effort to clean our rooms.
We had the pool side rooms which are ideal for the pool, restaurant,Bar and the steps to walk to Naama Bay.If you are a late riser,be aware that the poolside music starts at 10 am,so these rooms are no good.
With a little bit of investment, this could be a really good hotel,so please do not be put off by some of the bad reviews on Trip advisor. We met Nadia the owner and she is very friendly. Please note that I am not in any way connected with this hotel and am not on any incentives to write a good review. This is my honest opinion. For what you pay for this hotel, its fine I paid less than £16 a nigh per person all inclusive and I consider that very good value. If you are after a five star hotel with gourmet food, go somewhere else

SHARM-EL SHEIKH.

As mentioned you walk to Naama Bay in about 5 mins. from the hotel. This is where the action is.Most shops are open till 3.00am.Shishas are 10 EGP and soft drinks about 15EGP.
Lots of choice where you can sit and enjoy a night out. Most shops are shut between 1 and 5 .The only food outlet open were Starbucks and Mcdonalds. My kids walked out of Mcdonalds because there was an awful rotten meat smell in the restaurant, which a lot of people have mentioned.KFC is very good and an average meal is about 35 EGP. BE AWARE THAT ALL SHOPS ADD 10% SALES TAX TO THE FINAL BILL AND RESTAURANTS AND SHISHA BARS ALSO ADD 12% SERVICE CHARGE. Getting around from Naama to the areas of Sharm is easy with lot of taxis available. If you are a big family like me then get the Blue and white mini buses which only charge 3EGP per person for a journey,no matter how long.If are booking excursions and trips, shop around,it makes a lot of difference from one tour operator to another.Don't book all your excursions with one person.Shop around and ask the price in EGP and not GBP.
Don't take a lot of EGP from here, the EX c. rate was about 10.40 and I got 12.00 EGP to a pound in Naama Bay
Must do excursions:
Glass boat trip appx. 80 EGP per person inc. transfers
Quad biking in the desert for 3 hours inc. transfers £10 per bike (upto 2 people)
Trip to Mount Sinai about £20 pp inc breakfast and transfers.6pm to 10am
Day trip to Cairo by air £135 pp inc.Transfers, private mini bus in Cairo,Boat trip,Museam,Lunch Pyramids. Its £45 by coach, but I didn't fancy a 7 hour coach drive each way.
Soho Square and Hollywood for the dancing fountain display
Genena City shopping Mall, just opened so not all the shops are open.Try the Tseppas bakery and pattisiere for delicious pastries, biscuits, desserts ans excellent coffee.
Old Sharm market.Bargain Shisha pipes, tobacco, leather goods, handbags.Do some real hard bargaining or you will be ripped off.Start at a quarter of the asking price and think how much it would cost in the UK and the decide. If you want to try fresh sugar cane juice, get it here for only 5EGP a glass
If you need more info about the hotel or Sharm, send me a message.

Room Tip: 2001 to 2040 are pool side rooms.convinient for restaurant, bar and Naama bay.can be noisy.
