Saw Saturn with its rings! That was cool! Great food, camel riding was cool and good for photo taking!

“Wasn't what its cracked up to be”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

We enjoyed going out into the dessert and seeing the mountains up-close. But it wasn't quite the Bedouin tent your promised more like a few stables with some rugs and pillows in. The fire show and dancing was brilliant. When you sign up for the trip it says you have a shisha most groups got one but we didn't. The stars were fascinating really beautiful but it all felt a bit rushed.

“Brilliant - You must do this trip!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

You get picked up around 3pm from your hotel and you're back for 9 to 9.30pm.
You arrive in the Sinai desert after a half hour coach ride, then there is an optional camel ride for about 20 minutes. If you don't want to go on the camel, you can stay on the coach.
You meet the Bedouin men who entertain you with bongs, food, tea made from herbs in the desert, and they tell you all about their way of life. Very interesting.
Later on, you have a gentle stroll up the mountain path to watch the sunset, which is beautiful.
Back down the mountain, there is a barbecue going and traditional rice dishes and coca cola!!
When it is fully dark, you are treated to the view of the stars (and milky way, believe it or not) a view which is totally unspoiled as there is no light pollution. An expert will talk you through all the constellations with a laser light, and teach you how to find the north star (very very interesting). There are telescopes trained at various night wonders, most interestingly Saturn (you can see the rings!!).
Brilliant day out, highly recommend this.

“Amazing & brilliant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

so interesting fun day/night, seeing the stars & planet through the telescope was lovely to see for yourselves, the food was very nice. The camel ride was so funny, but make sure you have head gear or buy a scalf off the bedoiuns, also take some sweets for the children after your camel ride wish we had been told before hand.

“A lovely evening”

I didnt know but there are 2 different star gazing trips you can take. One on quad bikes with a 15 minute camel ride the other a 45 minute camel ride in a bigger camp with a fire. Both places are great and the guides really care about your enjoyment
