“Great camel ride & stargazing - could do without the bellydancing and food very basic.”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

The camel ride to the Beduin camp was great fun and very authentic - definitely a touch of Lawrence of Arabia!

The 'entertainment; was a bit naff, especially when the audience were invited to go on stage and mix in with the belly dancing. The food was forgettable - seriously.

However, the stargazing after was worth the wait - you could see the craters on the moon - incredible.

Overall, do the shorter excursion and cut out the middle bit, especially the food.

“Well worth the afternoon/evening out”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

You should go on this! The camels were friendly, lovely sun set, no light pollution so the stars were glorious we could even see the Milky Way! The food was nice and the touristy gifts available were cheap and well made so make sure you take some money and a camera! The view from the telescope was magical. Great facilities for being out in the middle of the desert!!

“Star gazing is not what it seems”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

The camel ride to the Bedouin camp was an experience not to be missed in itself and the talk about the stars was entertaining and informative. However looking at two stars and the moon was a total let down and not what I expected

“Unique experience for the Romantics.”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

The clarity of the desert air and the absence of light pollution gives the fortunate visitor an ability to appreciate the majesty of the heavens. I cannot recommend such an excursion enough, but do your homework BEFORE you go as a knowledge of the constellations will enhance the experience. I am an amateur astronomer and so I can just enjoy being able to see things I had only viewed in books before.
WOW.
