This was supposed to be my 2nd day dive after my 1st excellent day scuba dive experience with Camel Dive in Sharm El Sheikh. The Pyramids Dive club came to our Sunrise Arabian Beach hotel and advertised for a 1day 2 dives on a boat with 25 persons at Ras Mohamed National Park for only 70euro/p, pickup from hotel was scheduled for 7:45am.
The experience was a non-stop chain of disappointments and waste of time waiting time from start to end: pickup minibus arrived with 25 minutes delay. Upon arrival at the boat we ended up being more than 30persons of which 60% were Russian. We had to wait for an hour on the boat before leaving. Then after another hour we arrived at first destination. Only the divers with an open water certificate were allowed to dive, all others were only allowed to go for snorkling with poor quality equipment 25p whihc had to stay in team together (not allowed to bypass the instructor). My tuba leaked water constantly, flippers were non-adjustable and mask was old and dirty.
After another hour we arrived at second destination. The explanations all starters received for diving was too short and of poor quality. I now understood we had to bring our passports only for being able to identify dead bodies more easily. The diving at temple was less than 15 minutes short, whereby initially the instructor (1 instructor for 2 divers) held his hands on the airtank valve of the 2 divers (not allowing the 2 divers to dive a bit more independently). The inflatable jacket of my other budy wasn't inflating so the instructor had to apply his mouth on a gauge to inflate it with more air. My mask was leaking water, luckily I knew how to evacuate the water from it under water even though the Pyramid's instructor hadn't instructed us about it. We only went approx 5 meter deep.
Back on the boat we had a decent tasty lunch. Then there was another dive but only for the open water certificate holders.
I was back at the hotel around 4:30pm, having had to wait very long for only one dive of less than 15 minutes when I had paid for 2 dives of a much longer duration.
Don't go for this poorly organized organization. I regret not having returned to the much better organized professional divers club Came Dive.
A lady from the Netherlands was seasick on the boat and had warned the salesman before that this might happen. The salesman had promised this wouldn't be an issue because the boat would have pills and on the deck it would be ok. Upon the boat when the Dutch lady became sick, the staff had no such pills anymore and rudely had responded it wasn't their problem.

We booked a 1 day boat trip around Tiran Island with 3 stops, lunch & soft drinks included through a Pyramids Diving center member of staff at the hotel where we were staying. 'Adam' was informative and friendly. The crew on the trip were very helpful and professional, would have been useful to know though how rough it was going to be on the trip out before we got drenched on the top deck! This meant we got chilled, so some of us did not do the 1st/2nd snorkel stop. We all did the 3rd stop and the water was warm, fish lovely and equipment good. The only thing that a few of us did not like was getting off the boat!! The plank we had to walk along and the angel of it was daunting and made a couple of us feel scared (fine for those who don't have fears).Toilets are what you would expect on a boat (take some tissues with you incase there is no loo roll).Food was good and tasty and on board photographer took fab pictures and good value for money CD. Thank you.
