Wonderful seafood at reasonable prices and most of clientele were Egyptians which says it all. Like many restaurants here it does not serve alcohol which is no problem so just soak up the atmosphere. Situated in old market which is worht visiting.

after some recommendations decided to visit this place.
first thought it looked nice. we sat on balcony outside. we ordered jumbo king prawns and we were told we can have it how we liked so i asked can you make it spicy they replied ofcourse.
when arrived it wasnt spicy at all & bit dissapointing with size of prawns but they were fresh and juicy. what really put us off was they serve bread with the food and where we were sat next to us there was a lady making those breads.
then it came to our attention that all the breads were left on tables by other customers they were put in a bag next to that lady then reheated in fire by the lady and served to the next new customer.
all of a sudden a waiter noticed we are watching all this then asked lady to make us some fresh breads & kept on singing fresh bread fresh bread then came to us and said we made fresh for you then also brought us a plate of rice saying free of charge only for you. obviously we did not touch the rice plus its probably left over from another table.
overall i was disgusted by that plus no one wants to get served left over touched food when you go somewhere to eat. if they are doing this close to customers near balcony i wouldnt like to think what they do in kitchen while not in front of us.

everything was great including staff, just go for the Platters is what I recommend the Fish is great but really gets on the BILL. What I did not like is that I asked for a fish (hamour) to be grilled and they insisted it is not a fish to be grilled and would not do it .. altough I like it that way they insisted it would not taste good and then they battered it ! so go with what you like not with what they recomend ,.

I have been in reef oasis senses-sentido in sharm el sheik in February 2013 one week with my wife.
a friend told us about Fares Seafood. it is located in the old market. you can get there by taxi but the taxi drop you off at the entrance of the old market. you have to walk straight from the entrance till the end of the road, turn left (you will see a placard) then right
outside there is a lot of fishes you can choose what you like and tell the waiter how to cook it
the service is good and waiters are very kind. the place is very arabic, that means noise, hilarious people, a lot of people near you, everybody talks aloud
we ate lobster, cuttlefish, crab, big fresh juice, white rice, a lot of different sauces
food quality perfect, service quick
for european people price is good for Egyptian it is quite expensive
go there if you like fresh fish

Definitely worth a trip to the 'old town', which was otherwise pretty disappointing. Fares came recommended by both locals and ex-pats and really was excellent. Big platters at a fair price and good, friendly, welcoming service. We had a late lunch on one of the outside tables and couldn't have been happier.
