Getting to the boat was a bit chaotic,we were taken to an office to register and left standing with no information for 45 minutes. Explanations on the boat were in all languages needed, but snorkelling information was rough and ready as was entry into the water.

Best place in Sharm el Sheik region for snorkeling. Saw so many different sorts of fish - including Lion fish for the first time. Excellent lunch on board as well!

The reef is terrific! Go there by boat for a very good snorkel trip or by bus to see also the desert.

There are some wonderful and varied dive sites in the national park. Considering it's been a major dive destination for almost 3 decades now the corals and marine life are in excellent condition. The impact of pollution and the sheer number of scuba divers and snorkellers seem to have been managed effectively and there is still an abundance of marine life in all forms and at all depths for the experienced and novice divers and snorkellers.
The closest truly exotic tropical diving to Europe and well worth going at least once. Personally I hope to make this a regular dive trip, especially in winter time for some much needed sunshine.

We arranged this excursion through the Dive centre at our Iberotel Palace Hotel - and whilst we could possibly have found it cheaper we thought it excellent value at £25, considering it included 3 long snorkelling sessions (2 was enough for us) and decent food on-board a comfortable, modern boat.
Great support from our guide, both in assisting and reassuring not so strong swimmers and pointing out the wonderful array of coral and incredible fish. One thing that didn't need pointing out was the sizeable reef shark that passed by our group which we were told we were very lucky to see (though a little anxious about at the time!).
A great experience we'd very much recommend. Hope to visit the Tiran Islands on our next visit which we hear is even better for snorkelling.
