We just returned from a week at the Royal Savoy Sharm and it was lovely. The staff are all incredibly attentive and promptly respond to anything you need (Samuel and samy from the reception was fantastic and mina from the par. We stayed on a B&B basis and breakfast was excellent; you can get it from the lounge with very high quality it was amazing.
Directly opposite the hotel is Soho Square where you can go shopping, sheesha cafe, ice bar, and also restaurants. We ate at the Indian and Chinese restaurant, the food was brilliant and every day different show .
Really enjoyed the holiday, wouldn't want to stay in any other hotel in the future we will come sooooooon

I have been on many holiday and this is the first time I have felt compelled to write on trip advisor. The other reviews cover the detail really well, so my best advice is, if you dithering - book it - you will not be disappointed !
Food excellent ( go s class if you can ) Accommodation fab ( honeymoon suite if you can ) and the staff are smiling and nothing is too much trouble.
Treat yourself and enjoy !

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Savoy week commencing 18 Sept 2011 and had a very very nice time. We were celebrating a special occasion and probably had one of our best holidays ever there. We stayed on an all inclusive basis (aka S class) and booked the hotel & flights separately. We choose the hotel on the strength of all the good reviews we saw on Trip Advisor.

Good points:
• Exceptional service and friendliness (made to feel special !!)
• Good atmosphere and feel good factor (positive vibes from everyone !!)
• Meet and greet at airport and priority escort through immigration
• Free private taxi to and from airport only 15 mins away
• Good accommodation with very comfortable beds
• Good choice of restaurants in the hotel (my favourite was the sea food !!)
• Good choice of restaurants in SOHO square next to hotel & pleasant shopping environment – see www.soho-sharm.com for more info
• Majority of restaurants in SOHO square accept all inclusive guests (food & drinks) thus adding to the variety of restaurants you can choose from
• Clean and tidy hotel
• 3 swimming pools exclusively for Royal Savoy guests and 2 large swimming pools for all
guests (Savoy and Royal Savoy)
• Nice beach with safe snorkelling area
• Pool service
• Busy but not over-crowded (no mass brawl at b/fast & no mad rush for sun loungers @ 7am)
• Free internet access
• A free summary of the news and sports headlines from Britain printed daily
• Good gym
• Free banana boat ride (1 only)
• Free 25 min back massage (1 only)
• Free ice skating visit (1 only)
• Free bowling visit (1 only)

Only a few not so good points:
• Evening entertainment in the hotel limited to single musicians and duets playing ‘soulless’
background music whilst you eat
• Predominantely Egyptian background music piped through the sound system during the day (remember to take your IPOD !!)
• Daily activities e.g. aerobics and Latin dance classes cancelled due to lack of support from
guests (we were all too lazy being waitered on by the pool !!)
• Quite a few dishes on the menu incurred a supplementary charge (only to be expected if you like fine dining !!)

Summary:
The Royal Savoy is an exceptional hotel rightly deserving its place at the top of the ratings. We would definitely go back – if we do we hope to see you there !!.

Enjoy !!.

8 to 22 Sept 2011
This was our second visit to the Royal Savoy. Only way to describe it was truly magical from start to finish. On arrival at the airport we were whizzed through customs and baggage collection. We stayed in one of the honeymoon suites (4214) which was beautiful with a stunning view of the pools and the sea. We chose the S class package which is well worth the money as it means you can choose from any of the restaurants within the hotel complex and Soho Square, enjoy any drinks you like and includes free laundry, anti-stress massage, free watersports and entry to bowling alley and ice rink. Our favourite restaurants this year were the Steak House, the Saffron Middle eastern cuisine and the Bombay Indian.
Many of the staff at the Royal were the same as last year and it felt very special to be remembered by them and given such a warm welcome. The reception staff, Eva, Anna, Micheal, Samy and Samuel were fabulous.
Our chef who cooked the eggs each morning at breakfast was lovely and you must try his special,s a sample of which are Egyptian style scrambled eggs, eggy bread and scrambled eggs with salmon, His poached eggs are the best we have ever tasted,
The lads at the pool were very attentive and looked after us very well with our towels laid out, the umbrella up and making sure we had enough water and whatever drinks and snacks we wanted throughout the day.
The lads who worked in the lounge bar were also fantastic and take a real pride in remembering what you like to drink and making sure you are well looked after.
We did two trips this year, booked ourselves through the internet with Aqua Blue Sharm Excursions. First was a private all day boat trip to Raz Mohammed with three snorkelling stops (£350 for the boat for the day). It was really enjoyable, only the two of us, five crew and our snorkelling guide on a boat that could hold up to 80 people. We were also cooked lunch on the boat which was gorgeous, the prawns were as massive and beautifully cooked. The second trip we did with them was Raz Mohammed by private mini bus (£100 for the day). This included two snorkelling stops and a swim in the magic lake. It was fantastic and out of the two trips we would say this was better value for money as you got to see the National park as well as enjoying two long snorkels (about an hour and a half each). We were then taken to the old market at Narma Bay for some lunch in an authentic Egyptian café. The food was gorgeous, chicken, beef, rice, beans and all sorts of sauces and bread, the food just kept coming. Our guide, Mohammed, was extremely good.
To us the only disappointing thing about the whole holiday was the trip to the Ice Bar. We were expecting a huge bar filled with lots of people. It’s actually a big oblong fridge that only holds about 20 people with a couple of ice sculptures. You don’t even get the ice glasses as promised in the adverts, they are plastic. Probably worth one visit but wouldn’t do it again.
Our transfer back to the airport was seamless and you feel like royalty the way George whisks you through customs and baggage drop off.
Overall, the Royal Savoy should be very proud of their staff as they truly try everything to make sure your holiday is one with magical memories.
The Royal Savoy is a truly fantastic resort and we are already planning our next visit.

Prior to me holiday even commencing, I was contacted by the hotel informing me that they had received my resevation from Thomas Cook and would be at the airport on our arrival to transport us to our hotel which is the Royal Savoy in Sharm

I have stayed at many 5 star resorts, but have never had been contacted personnally by the hotel in which I was going to stay at .

I was really impressed by the excellent customer care prior to the start of my holiday

I will be sharing my holiday on my return with Trip advisor

Look forward to my holiday onThursday 22nd September
