“Great hotel, great pools, warm beer”
Reviewed July 28, 2011

Great hotel , great pools, close taxi ride to strip, reasonable all Inc food.
Nasty cheap all Inc spirits-take your own-a little beer is cold mostly warm. Staff need training in drinks service. Not enough glasses for one each !
Food handling not best-watch out for raw meat and cooked meat handled by same rubber gloved hands .

Friendly, welcoming and accomodating staff. Nothing was a problem! The food was excellent with a variety for all tastes. Outdoor areas well maintained and clean. Pools were clean and inviting.

The New Years Eve Gala dinner was creative and the presentation exceptional.

We are looking forward to our return in the near future.

Room Tip: All rooms were fairly quiet and although all the rooms didn't have a sea view the gardens were a...

Had a fantastic time at this hotel-good sized rooms(we had two interconnecting ones)that were clean and well maintained.Food was wonderful, lots of choice in the buffet restaurant and a la cartes excellent although the portions were a little small in the italian.Bars all good,i found the vodka a bit harsh so if you like quality vodka take your own but wine, beer and cocktails very good. The animation team were fab-worked hard to keep us entertained and their shows were funny if a little random! The service made this holiday-nothing was too much trouble for the staff-will definitely return!

We booked less than two weeks before travel through redseaholidays.com. This hotel looked good on their website however the tripadvisor.co.uk reviewed were a mixed bag.

Transfer to the hotel was less than 35 mins and efficient. The check in process was good, everyone was offered a drink and were sat in the bar to complete paperwork rather than queuing at reception, which we appreciated. At no stage were we offered any sort of room upgrade. We were then shown to our room with bags following shortly after which meant two tips. The rep had said on the transfer coach a tip for the bell boys is usual, other than this tips were not mentioned at all throughout the week, although we still gave out tips when service was good.

The weather was hot however we never had an issue getting sunbeds and parasols which were essential. We didn't move out of the hotel as we wanted a week just to completely relax. Typical daytime temperature was 42 degrees.

The room was good but not 5 star, large bed, TV, dressing table, wardrobe, safe and bathroom. There is a large walk in shower space however the actual shower is a standard shower so a bit of a waste with the amount of space given. The finish over the whole hotel is not 5 star, but no major issues. Our sea view promised was there, if you went out onto the balcony and craned your neck right! We need a bulb changed in the shower area and this took 4 requests to make it happen. The air con is good and really kept the room cool overnight when we needed it.

The pool areas are all really clean and the pool staff worked continuously to tidy and serve. We spent all week at the Crepes and Sweets pool and Soby, the waiter there, worked tirelessly and had a real pride in ensuring his area was clean and the guests there were happy.

The restaurants were all reasonable. The menu shows both all inclusive options and other choices which carry a surcharge, these are usually anything with prawns, lobster and steak. However even when we choose these options, there were not always available. It does seem though as if the surcharges are standard UK menu prices which would be paid rather than an additional upgrade charge. The surcharges are payable at the end of the week on check out. Service was really poor the first night in the Fusion restaurant which concerned us, however it seemed to be a blip as all other restaurants were good service the rest of the week. We liked the Tapas & Olive the best with friendly staff as well as good food. We used both buffet restaurants which were good however limited choices compared to other all inclusives we have been to in Egypt.

On the whole the plus points were all the staff who always made a point of saying hello from gardeners and cleaners through to reception staff, the pools were really clean, the animation staff worked hard to get people to join in however not over pushy and the snorkelling off the jettys was great. For us food was 3.5 out of 5, the room about the same.

The extras which are sold by non hotel staff were a complete rip off. There are spa staff walking round trying to sell their services, some even when you are asleep on a sunbed. They have no worry about invading personal space and inviting themselves to sit on your sunbed or even touch you. We bought a massage and a pedicure and based on price were not good value. We haggled down from really high rates, comparable to decent UK based salons, however they promised 60 mins for massage and it was only 45mins, the staff talked amongst themselves in Arabic over you, answered their phones and really couldn't care less if we enjoyed it or not. We tried to complain to the chap would sold it too us however all of a sudden his English was limited and he walked off. We would not ever buy these services in Egypt again.

I would go back to this hotel if I waited and got a great price (less than £500) if I had to pay full brochure price I wouldn't go as definitely not 5 star.

Room Tip: We chose to stay by the Crepes and Sweets pool as it was in the middle which meant food choices for...

Well it was our second time ... generally its improved on the service and in some areas where quality of the food and food preparation needed attention from first time when we visited almost a year ago.

Yes its good for the price .. we has some extensive discounts from Red Sea Holidays its was an all inclusive .. be careful with the Spa, Photographer and the Water Sports guys .. they tend to work in currencies that change from Euro, Sterling to Egyptian Pound depending on what is the most positive for them and not the customer, take time and dont make impulse purchases from them.

That said it is a pleasent, honest, enjoyable, varied hotel complex that has a lot going for it with some areas of imporvment. Always take a teaspoon to the resturant if you want to have tea or coffee. The entertainment is purile and infantile eurotrash.....blimy it was appauling and toe curlingly dire.

Loved it otherwise !!

Stayed the first 2 weeks of july for 14 nights. Hotels gardens are beautiful, weather excellent, pools clean, plenty of sunbeds. Rooms a bit tatty but typically what u can expect in egypt. Staff work extremely hard expecially at the relax pool. Staff in the sharm buffet were sometimes rude and ignorant. A la carte restaurants were often hard to book in unless u wanted to eat at 6 or 9 pm. The main gripe is the entertainment. For a complex so large the evenings really are rubbish, the anumation bar is to hot and the terrace bar is boring and very oldy worldy with singers that cant really sing!! The drinks are often served warm and you are often told to sit and a waiter will come and take your drinks order... which they dont!!! This hotel is not suitable for anyone with a pushchair as the steps are everywhere. And i imagine the hotel would be pretty boring for children as there is very little for them to do. However.. for the price we paid it was certainly value for money. Would not return though as I have visited more child friendly hotels in sharm.

The hotel ticked every box: beautifully lit and landscaped location, immaculate in every aspect, friendly efficient staff, spacious comfortable room and a wide range of places to eat with good choices of menu.
We loved the beautiful flowers; The beach is fantastic! The snorkelling was amazing in the private reef.

Room Tip: The entire hotel is spotless....there are what seems to be hundreds of men walking round all day was...
