We had the entire resort to ourselves due to political instability. The staff helper was incredibly friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, beautiful beach front, great price!

This is a hotel for anyone who wants to spend several days in quiet and peaceful place. I stayed for three days and 2 of them I was absolutely alone in the hotel. The rooms are nice and decorated in Egyptian style. The staff is friendly and the breakfasts are good. The Nuweiba village with some nice small restaurants and several other hotels and camps is 5 kilometers away - about 1 hour walking or 5 minutes by taxi. The hotel has nice pool and private beach.

But anybody who wants action, nightlife and things like this, should pick another location then Ciao Hotel.

We stayed here on our way to and from Cairo it's a great find, the staff are lovely and great value for money. Sadly Egypt is suffering and especially in this area so there were very few other guests but the pool was spotlessly clean, we felt safe and it's has a very peaceful location. Food was very good and they looked after our precious wheels! We enjoyed our stay so much on the way to Cairo that we went straight back there on the way back. It may seem a little run down but so do all the hotels along this stretch where most of them are closed anyway. we enjoyed the friendly staff and quiet location. Rooms were very clean and the beer was cold!

Ok, the staff may be friendly enough but this place is an absolute dump.

I don't know what time of year or how long ago the other reviewers had been, but I can tell you that arriving at this place was for me a scary experience and the photos that have been posted up here look nothing like what we saw.

We caught a taxi from Dahab to Nuweiba as we were going to stay a night and then head to Jordan. We'd already paid for our two nights accommodation, but on arrival, asked our taxi to wait for us while we inspected the place before being abandoned there.

For starters, the front doors were locked on our arrival, which was a bit concerning, as in, why?? When we walked through to look at the place, it was like walking through an abandoned old hotel in the middle of the desert. Think about the movie, Dusk till Dawn...that's the feeling we had while walking through the place, like it wouldn't be safe to stay. The pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, we spotted one other couple there and apart from that there was no one else there. The beach looked nice enough but again was deserted apart from bedouin women waiting to pounce and sell us things as soon as we wondered down.

We hopped straight back in the taxi and headed back for Dahab.

Maybe it was the wrong time of year or a bad time, but this place was deserted, run down and just had a general feeling of abandonment to it. A place I didn't feel safe staying at. We didn't even bother asking for our money back. As far as we were concerned, they could keep it, but no way were we staying.

On our way from St. Catherine we had an overnight layover in Nuweiba and decided to stay at the Ciao Hotel.
I was very pleased with how quickly they picked us up from the bus station. From the time I called to let them know we were ready, it took them less than 5 minutes.
When we arrived at the hotel to check in we were impressed with how kind the employees were. We felt like everybody was at our beck and call and 100% attention was focused on our needs.

During check in we were treated to an upgrade. When we were ready for dinner, they drove us to the restaurant of our choice.

The suite was so nice and clean. The bathroom was spotless.

There was WIFI internet covering thew hole area of the hotel.

When we were ready to head to the border at 6am, they were ready and waiting for us.
I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you need to have a budget stay.
