“Much too high expectations”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

I chose this hotel because of Tripadvisor reviews. Terrible! My expectations were shocked.
1st. A specificly asked for ground floor in my booking. Of course they booked 1st floor and I needed 30 min to rebook.
2nd. I arrive to a hotel after allnight trip. 13 hours travel time. Of course no food available. So I went to the beach and eat later. At 6pm on the beach, my daughter got hungry again. And again no food available nowhere! Even no shop to buy anything. What kind of allinclusive is that? I came no relax from my job, not to check clock all the thime and think what to do, so that I don't stay hungry.
3rd. Rooms were mayby 5* like 15 years ago. Aircondition is so loud, I couldn't sleep. Bathroom is way too small for 5*. Rooms are very clean, but outdated.
4. Internet. 10€ per day... For wifi available only in lobby? Terrible.
5. Food quality is bad. Food standard was frozen like 30 years ago. Please offer some healthy food for those who knows what is healthy. No bottled water available anywhere except 1 per day per person.
...
I still loved my vacation, I had great time. But please people, be objective! And please take away at least 1 star.

We stayed at the beach hotel for 1 week and whilst the hotel was lovely and the staff were great the food was a let down. Yes, there was A La Carte for the evening but there was only 2 sittings 18.30 & 20.30 and you had to start queuing about an hour beforehand so if you didn't get in it was back to the buffet. For such a high ranked hotel there wasn't a lot of choice of food and what there was wasn't that nice either. Breakfast was in 2 places and the best place was in the Italian restaurant but cleanliness was not high on their agenda as netting was up over the cold food to prevent birds coming in but this did not stop them and as for the cereal which was just in a bowl that wasn't covered flies kept making that their home, I will also say this was the same at the beach restaurant at lunch times. Moving on from the food, laying around the pool before 10am was a pleasure but as soon as 10am arrived every hawker came out selling you this treatment and this trip and whatever ride on an animal they could come up with. As soon as you said no thanks to one another came along. At times we pretended to be asleep just so they wouldn't bother us. Also, whilst our room was clean it was a little dated but at least it was clean so thank you to our cleaner. However, where the room was situated you would get the van that transported luggage to and from rooms making a racket whenever they would come along. It is such a shame as this would be a lovely hotel if they put these right.

Fab rooms, good food!
All la carte was on a first come first served basis so that was great mine of this queuing in the morning nonsense.
The staff were very helpful and super polite.
The resort itself was fab an do loved the beach personally as was quieter than round the pools.
Would def come back!!

We have just got back from our holiday at the Stella gardens resort. It is a beautiful place to stay, I would love to go back. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were light and airy and very clean. We experienced no problems at all just lots of happy memories. The jungle water park was also a great day out and our son had a camel ride on the beach, which was great and he really enjoyed. I would recommend this resort to anyone. the staff work very hard. The only problem was the Russians whom I observed to be very rude to most people espically the staff. The staff work really hard and always smiled and said hello. Its a great place to relax.

Room Tip: we had a room that wasn't close to reception which we noticed had a more lively atmosphere and t...

Just returned from a two week holiday at the Stella Makadi Garden Resort and we cannot praise it enough. Food, drink, cleanliness, all of a really high standard. must admit that we did not use the Buffet restaurant at the garden resort too often, as it really was a bit of a cattle market though the food that we ate was still good.

We spent most of our days on the beach and really loved it there and although you are badgered by the staff for trips and spa treatments etc, a simple "no thanks" will do the trick. I did have a pedicure and it was fab, thanks Fatma, my feet have never looked so good!

Rooms really lovely and modern and cleaned really thoroughly every day, a big thanks to our cleaner, a really lovely young man. We were in block 38 which is in a fab postion, near one of the pools and opposite the Lebanese restaurant.

We tried all of the restaurants and all all were good, though must admit that our favourite was the Chinese, excellent food. We had no trouble at all getting a table at any of them. We booked a meal on the beach, at a charge of £38 inc. wine, it really was excellent, Special thanks to Osama who took such special care that night to ensure that we had a meal to remember.

The staff here are exceptional, so hardworking and friendly, probably the best that we have come across during our travels. Thank you all. Special thanks to Maher at the beach restaurant bar and to Mohammed at the Lebanese Restaurant who both took extra special care of us.

A great holiday all round, will definately go back

Room Tip: all seemed good

Me, my husband and 14 yr old son stayed here for two weeks in April. We booked with Travel Republic and got a very good price. We did book our transfers with Resort hopper and saved quite a bit of money too.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, with staff always on duty even in the middle of the night you see the pool man sweeping the pool, amazing I don't think these people ever sleep. The service was great, some reviews on here before I went said that some of the staff were a bit rude, well we didn't find any problems at all, even the Europeans, where very friendly, my British son played sports with the German, Danish and Russian boys every day and thoroughly enjoyed there company. The food is good too, the themed restaurants where amazing, when we arrived they had stopped the usual one visit per week and it was first come first served, it meant queuing from 8.10 for the 8.30 sitting but it was well worth it. The Italian was by far the best we thought, pizzas made to order, cannelloni to die for and amazing green peppercorn steak we made 4 visits to this, The Chinese was also very good the sizzling chicken in black bean was yummy. We had never had Lebanese before but we thought we'd try it. . . wow it was kebabs, shish, koftas, chicken, they bring a cast iron BBQ to your table with your food on cooking away on it all served with beautiful basmati rice. The Indian was OK but then I don really like Indian food but my husband really enjoyed it.Well as you can tell we love our food LOL. The bad points of this holiday which weren't many were the sales people coming to your sunbeds everyday, but if you just say no thank you they walk on. The pools as I know are the same all over Egypt were freezing, this is due to the cleaning filtration system going 24-7, but hey at least the pools are spotless. The spirits were rank, they all taste like paint stripper, so if your a spirit drinker buy duty frees coming into the country and take some out at night in your water bottle from your room. They do sell the proper stuff at £4.50 a time... rip-off. The sun beds are plenty full every day you don't need to get up at dawn to reaserve one thank god. The beach is a must, the snorkeling is amazing, the beach bar lunch is great too, we do plan to go back we enjoyed it that much.
Happy Holidays reader.
