Ok so we have just returned from mamlouk .here's what we think .
The good points a very smooth check in there were a large number of people checking in we were asked to take a seat given warm towels to freshen hands on then all the check in details bought to us .
After thus we were guided to our rooms we were in room 28204 .the room Itself was very clean on arrival it did look a little dated but had a lovely balcony and the bed and pillows were heaven to sleep In I suffer from disc problems and for me they were perfect .There are tea and coffee facilities with a mini bar . The room I would say wasn't mopped daily but the beds made and a general tidy with clean towels daily.
The beach was very clean and the water clear .Something that generally happens is the same people getting "Their spot on the beach" courtesy of "tips" but hey not first time and won't be the last .The gardens are beautiful and a credit to the gardeners .Pools were beautiful and we did see them being cleaned every night .The hotel itself is spotless .The entertainment on the balcony by lobby bar was ok except for the karaoke which was dire I normally enjoy it ! The shows put on at night were as expected not professional the was a Mr mamlouk and a m&s mamlouk contest usual dance routine and acrobats .You can use the facilities of the sunrise sister hotel where there's a little water park we dud try the resturant there but didn't enjoy the food the waiters in the sunrise never once came up to us for our order .Definitely not as friendly as the mamlouk staff .which brings me to the staff ,waitors are very happy and friendly making sure you had your drinks .Ahmed at the lobby bar worked very hard mostly on his own but still had a smile for you .The guys in the beach bar also very nice .To be honest bar one or two staff they all did a fantastic job . One person who wasn't helpful was a male member of reception my husband was trying to get money exchanged only to be told on several different occasion to come back something or other wasn't working and to try exchange machine which we did but it does not take NEW sterling notes ! right now the little shops in the resort do rip you off if they can we bought a small carton of milk 2 pound sterling he did want 3!! A bikini I liked was 800 Egyptian pound which aprox worked out at 30 in current rate .We went to senzo mal which was also expensive 25 pound for a sun hat same here for ten pounds. Egypt isn't cheap anymore .
Bad point for us and other couples we spoke to was the food in main resturant .often just warm choice not as would have liked. They cooked kebabs mostly chicken one night they wasn't bad but few days later we tried them again and to be honest I couldn't work.out what part of a chicken it was ! The snack bar severed better food and the pool bar Served fresh cooked pizza and chips hot dogs, burgers .my husband and I both developed diahorrea and still have it three days later .We are now home .Trips we did the pyramids , museum , a trip on nile and was asked if we wanted the paparyus factory which we didn't go to. We actually booked with thomas cook rep and had a private car ,driver and our own egyptologist ! It took 6 hours to get to Cairo we left at 3 in morning and returned at 10 at night .what a fantastic memorable trip so glad we did this .So a big thank you to our guide. He was invaluable even had the car take us to the top of the rd near pyramids because I have walking difficulties .We had lunch included and I think this is most possibly where we picked up our stomach problem ..My advice is if you go to mamlouk palace is definitely go see pyramids also valley if kings we will never forget this experience for the rest of our lives .That's it really enjoy yr holiday here .
Oh and on way back don't expect go in duty free shops .We arrived at two o'clock our flight was 6 o'clock and we never had a chance xx

4th time at this lovely hotel, great staff, clean rooms, impeccable service. Special thanks to Abdo our Cleaner for looking after us and our room, nothing was too much trouble and Zeinah the Concierge for going that extra mile with any requests we had, Zeinah is an asset to the Hotel and even though they all work extra long hours and have many guests to look after, Zeinah was always there when you needed her. To sum it up we have booked for April and September next year, when you find the place that ticks all the boxes why go anywhere else!! From Debbie and Paula, thanks to everyone at Mamlouk

We was met strongly asking to change room into a larger, and to pay for it, so it was a long time to prove that we would have enough of what we ordered. The pools are poorly cleaned. Everything else was wonderful.

- Yusuf, of the animation team is very nice and did a great job. Compliments
- the cleaner of building 18 room 308 in the week of 10 nov. was the most helpful man when I got sick. Great job!!
- the cleaner of the public toilets between building 17/19 was a wonderful man.
- you really felt at home!

One small point of attention, the red flags are a great idea. The animation team should also respect that. They came asking to join several times a day. That’s not what we had the red flag for

Beautiful hotel with everything you could possibly need.
Every member of staff was accommodating and polite. Special mention to Hagag and Islam in the main restaurant, lovely people and nothing was too much bother for them.
Only visited the Asian and Arabian restaurants during this visit but the food and service was amazing.
Rooms were spacious, comfy and kept spotlessly clean.
Food throughout visit was great, could always find something to eat.
Night time entertainment varied but was always enjoyable. Animation team were all lovely, especially Hollie and Kevo who somehow managed to get me up doing Zumba several times. Promise I'll come clubbing next time I visit. <3
Looking forward to returning again in April and again in the future!!
