Excellent family holiday, upgraded to a family room which provided us with an amazing beach view from the balcony.

Only twenty minute transfer from the airport, everything you need in the Hotel you don't need to leave. Only advice is to book the specialist resturants as early as you can.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a family room if available

After looking on tripadvisor ourselves before booking, we chose Mamouk palace based on the great reviews and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The staff are exceptional, and make you feel comfortable. We spent many a day at the swim up bar with Michael who was always smiling and happy to help. The rooms are very spacious and kept very clean, and the housekeeping staff give you a little surprise sculpture on you bed every so often. The option of going to an a la carte restaurant every night is a bonus and the individual themes of each, both in décor and food variety make it a great experience. The Mexican restaurant staff keep you entertained, and the Oriental staff really look after you. There is also a Shisha place near the beach where you can relax after your meal. Food is great in general and is plentiful.
There is always someone cleaning something, and this shows as the pool area is kept clean. Try the water slides which are actually really good! There is something on every night at the adjoining hotel (which you can use all the facilities of). The beach is a nice change from the pool (if you could ever get bored of it, it's massive!). To end the day, its quite nice to share a drink on the terrace bar, then if you are still awake, there's on onsite nightclub! You can literally spend your whole holiday at the resort and not be bored. There's an onsite dive school, and a spa which offer reasonable prices.

We would definitely go back to this place. Perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all, and there's something to do for whenever you get bored of sunbathing. Don't even consider any other hotel in the area, Mamlouk palace ticks all the boxes.

Had a great time at Mamlouk, great rooms and service. Did the trip to Luxor, a must do and recommended. Our final night was made special at the Asian restaurant which is by far the best of the a la carte, and a huge thank you to concierge Nina for being a great help.

Just returned from a two week trip to Mamlouk with my husband and two children aged 4 & 2. The hotel is impressive and very large, we ended up quite near the beach so it was a bit of a walk to the main restaurant - although we didn't mind the exercise!
The rooms are pleasant with a large bathroom and walk in shower, we had fresh towels, our room cleaned and fridge stocked with water/pop everyday thanks to our friendly cleaner. The pools are huge & clean, perfect shallow areas for children and larger quieter areas for adults wanting to chill. The main buffet restaurant was our only disappointment, the food definately wasn't a 5 star standard, and they didn't have a great variety. Another bug bare was the high chairs were never clean, even though the tops had been clingfilmed up for the next user, there was food and mess underneath - this happened on every occasion in the main restaurant. I did take disinfectant wipes so it wasn't too much of a problem. You can book into the featured restaurants on the complex, we visited them all - a much higher standard of food. We booked them through the holiday concierge rather than racing up to reception first thing (they work on a first come first serve basis). We did book into the Indian restaurant in the next door hotel, we had to pay for this but wouldn't recommend - the particular waiter was unfriendly, food was average, warm drinks and expensive.
We took a boat trip with the company on the beach - highly recommended & real value for money. What I liked about Hurghada was the lack of hassle you received from sales people and shop owners, I found it much less pushier than Sharm.
The absolute credit to the hotel is the staff, each and every one are so friendly and literally cannot do enough for you, it seemed they took more of a liking to us once they realised we were English too! Some (not all) nationalities could be quite rude to some of the staff. We were made to feel very welcome. The buffet aside, we would return to this lovely hotel just perhaps try to take a bit more spends to eat out a little more.
PS: Change your currency at the ATM machine in reception - much better rate than in UK!

Room Tip: If you have mobility difficulties definately get a room closer to the main restaurant rather than ne...

Been home 2 days and already miss this place. Only a 20 ish minute drive from the airport and when we arrived the staff were very welcoming and checked us in quickly, showed us to our room and had our suitcases brought up for us. They also phoned a little while after to check we were happy with our room and we went down to dinner. Food was nice but got a little repetitive after a few nights with the beef dishes and rice most nights despite the theme nights. Management organised a british night for all the british guests to meet as the hotel was very full with Russians. They had it at the Asian restaurant next to the beach. Food was good we had lamb curry and sweet and sour chicken with noodles or rice. We also tried the Mexican restaurant which was fantastic! Really good food and the staff were happy to have a laugh with us and show us their tricks with utensils. Weather was perfect, very hot but perfect to relax next to the pool and on the beach. You need to get a red flag from the towel hut if you don't want to be bothered by the people trying to sell parasailing/spa/diving/snorkelling etc. Also the entertainment team kept bothering people to join in with the activities which was a little annoying when we just wanted to relax. But they were only doing this to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. We went snorkelling and on the submarine trip with the company based in the hotels reception which was great fun. The senzo mall is just a 5 minute walk across from the hotel with mcdonalds. Overall an amazing time in egypt and we would definitely reccommend this hotel, it should definitely be a 5 star through thomas cook!

Room Tip: Most rooms have good views if you're on the top floor. We were in room 29302 very nice view and...

I have been to Sentido ( formerly Sunrise) Mamlouk Palace in the middle of May .
The place is huge !! the walking distance between my room and the restaurant or from the room to the sea was big . I'm not a sport fan :)
Otherwise , the place is well maintained . The room is cleaned and towels changed daily . The food is various enough , but when you have lots of guests , it's sometimes difficult to catch what you want to eat .
the vegetables are fresh , the meat and poultry are well cooked . The fish is great too .The staff are very nice and helpful .Specially those on the beach .
The night show in the sister hotel is very vibrant . A big salute for the creators of joy : the animation team , nice and lovely bunch of youth.
The gardens are very lovely . The pools are clean and suitable for kids and adults .
We loved our stay there , if it was not for the long walks !!!

Room Tip: A room near the restaurant , if you are a pool guy . A room near the sea if you are a sea guy :)
