Just returned from our 7 day stay. Food awful, chipped crockery, dirty table linen, no variation in food - do not cater for the English!!! Accommodation O.K. but very dark and the cleaner only sweeps/mops in the centre of the floor! Only 1 beach bar available! All inclusive does not include daytime/evening snacks and drinks finish at 10pm! Broken tiles around pool area! The 2 'lagoons' smelt like a sewer! The whole place needs knocking down and re-building again!!!!! The staff were very friendly considering their working environment . The Hor Palace makes Fawlty Towers a 7 star!!!!! Good job the english have a sense of humour for this place!!!! Ha!

We currently stayed at this hotel from hell we advise all british tourists do not waste your money booking here it is catered for russian clientel not british.
The all inclusive is advertised as being 9am to 12pm but it is not when you get there it is only 10am till 10pm. There is nowhere to get a drink in the cool unless you want to pay extra some of the food is unedible maybe great for russians but not for british taste buds. The hotel is very tired and even the locals laugh if you say you staying there. No entertainment during day only aerobics and who wants to do that on ya hols in 50 degrees celcius. Evening entertainment starts at 10.30pm( in gardens next to hotel) free to get in but you pay for your drinks.

THere is no entertainment for children other than a swimming pool,The pool is large but very shallow, with many tiles that are broken, hencce many suffered cuts to their feet. The pool man Atef was very nice,as were most of the staff. There are no a i c ice creams or snacks during the day at all, they have to be paid for.a i c finishes at 2200hrs prompt, then entertainment starts in the beer garden. At first the shows belly dancers seemed ok,however as the weeek went on you realised it was the same people in different outfits, carrying out similar mundane shows. When you venture out into the stretts its a nightmare beggars, and shop keepers virtually dragging you to their shops(in the end we had to be abusive ,as NO meant nothing to them). The rooms in the hotel part were clean but you would,nt have your own home bathrooms ikie theres at all,(mega stains around toilet etc.).We first stayed in an outside lodge affair, wardrobes crawling with large red ants so we got moved.Ants 6 times and more bigger than ours.did,nt see any cock roaches though.I like salad but not for breakfast with cold chips(yes chips) chillies. Each day i had anomlette which was ok, other wise i would have been starving. If you go to expect nice prawns mussles good fish no chance. Its all designed for russians germans polish etc,In 2 weeks stay we met 8 english people(which can sometimes be good).Wife was ill for at least 8 days sickness etc(no we didnt have there water or ice).so were many other people we spoke to.If you kie meat balls fro breakfast spag bol ect every day then go.I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL> and i am certainly not a snob

The hotel is very calm, thats why I found it very nice place to stay in.
The beach is long but not to have any snorkel in, the rooms are kind of old but big and kind of clean, the stuff do what you order them to do very queckly, and that impresses me, the food was great for a three stars hotel, much better than 4* Regina hotel.
Its 3* hotel and not less, in som means better that many 4* in hurghada and whole egypt.

I have decided to write a review about this hotel to worn people NOT TO GO THERE!
It is incredible, and not in a good way! I can't imagine how is it allowed to function!
It's very , very , very OLD! There are 3 buildings. The first one is the worst and the third one is the best, if you can say so! At first they gave us a room in the first buildig! It's smelt like a toilet! My husband was so disappointed, i went to the reception and begged for a better room, so we got one in the second building...a little better; it didn't smell!
Anyway, the rooms are terrible! I don't have words to describe them so i"ll try to attach some photos.
The air conditioning is machine like i've never seen: huge, noisy , ugly...like the radious use to be at their beginning... i couln't sleep at night because of the noise: the AC and the fridge...! Awfull! The view: Other building...of course old...some plants dying.... a fountain with no water in it...
The staff is ok, the food...under average...the beach is the only asset this hotel has, but not thanks to the hotel just because the Red Sea is gorgeus!
Hurghada is a builing site, the roads are under construction, you don't see anything green on the street, just in the gardens of the hotels, the one that respect their guests, not like Hor Palace!
Ohh. I forgat to mention the rat i saw in the restarant!..Lovely!

Go to Egypt! It's a great county! The cruise on the Nile is fabulous!
Just don't choose Hurghada, and especially Hor Palace!
