We booked through our holiday rep to spend a day at the Jungle Aqua Park – circa £90 for the three of us which did feel a little on the expensive side. This did, however, include lunch and drinks.
The park is also a hotel but we had no problem securing a sunbed when we arrived. The biggest tip I can give is to wear coral shoes – the staff allow you to wear them on the slides and they are essential for walking back over the baking ground. You can also wear goggles on the slides.
The queue system is rigorously managed which meant the overall queuing time was far shorter than many other aqua parks we have been to. There are a lot of slides to choose from, including a few slower ones.
The lazy river is insanely long and a little disorientating as the sides are so high, it was hard to tell where you were. It was fun, though.
The lunch was quite good – a good selection of food but nothing very healthy. The queues were not too long and we didn’t struggle to get a table.
My two main issues are that everything looked like it needed updating / a coat of paint / a bit of modernising. It just needs some investment, I think.
My second issue is that my husband tipped out of the ring on the yellow slide and fell quite badly. The staff were over with him in seconds to check he was okay but he was badly bruised. He was quite laid back about it and didn’t want to make a fuss as he said he just pushed off at an awkward angle. Had it been me or my daughter that this had happened to, we would have left immediately.
Apart from this, it was quite a fun day out but I probably wouldn’t return.
