“Waste of time and money”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

We booked this trip with the promise of a Jeep safari through the desert, the visit of a Bedouin Village in the desert and finishing with watching stars in the sky
.
After being picked up at our hotel 30min earlier than expected we had to wait for another 30min at the stop where the participants usually change onto the quads. However, for us it was only sitting around and waiting for nothing because we continued in the same Jeep as we arrived. Furthermore, the jeeps are closed so don't expect to see much of the scenery during the ride since the windows get covered with sand and dust. The "desert" itself it nothing more than some bumps and sand however you will find some beautiful scenery at the final destination the "Bedouin Village."
This village is nothing more than some huts only build for tourism purposes where the inhabitants try to sell you something and expect for each attraction (camel ride, fresh bread etc) a tip.
The camel ride itself is not longer than 5 min and other attractions have no real interest.

Afterwards you are driving back to the stop where you were waiting beforehand and have some dinner (buffet consisting of rice, noodles with sauce, some salad and meat) which isn't that bad. Nonetheless, this stop usually takes one hour or more and in the end we haven't seen any stars at all but were presented with some belly dancers and skirt spinning, which was also nothing special at all.

So overall this trip should have lasted two hours at most but took overall half of our day.
If you want to view the Eastern desert I suggest to book this trip with the quad ride, which will probably be a better experience. However, don't try the jeep safari since it will be a waste of your time and your money.

“Bedawyah Trip”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

Had a brilliant trip out into the desert which included Camel Ride, Horse Ride, Quad bikes, Spider cars, 4 x 4 desert ride, visit the reptiles, lunch and show (glass eater and belly dancer and man in skirt spinning), visit to bedowan village. Very long day so very tiring but well worth it. Be prepared to come back covered in sand and filthy.

“Long day but worth it!”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

It was a long day with two children in the blazing heat of the rocky desert! Our tour guide from Red Sea Waseed was fun, entertaing, friendly and funny! It was all quite rushed, going to see the Bedouin, riding camels, donkeys, horses but once out on the quads and spider buggy it was fun and relaxing. I would have preferred to Go later in the day when it was cooler. Some of our group returned to the hotel because of this! The BBQ was delicious and staff helpful, didn't like seeing a snake feed on a pigeon or a tortoise in a heated glass cage. We were all too tired and dehydrated for the evening show but I'm sure it lived upto expectations.

“Oh dear what a mistake”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

If you want a day of being blasted by sand then great but this was an awful day out for us. There was lots of hanging around, the food was slop, we were feed early so it was fresh but later it was actually the same food just been sitting around for six hours. The experience in the desert was nothing more than huts with people trying to sell you something. The camel ride lasted less than five minutes, I actually felt that I'd, had a day of my holiday stolen.

“Good day out”

Great day out. Only problem was we kept stopping every 2 secs whilst quad biking waiting for people to catch up. Show at the end is fantastic
