We were put in this hotel after booking Titanic Beach & Aqua Park. We were told the night before we travelled that we were unable to stay at the Titanic Beach because Hotels 4 u (who are part of Thomas Cook) had withdrawn their contract. We had no choice but to go to this hotel, we thought they must surely put us in a hotel which would be like for like. How wrong we were!! The first room they put us in was filthy, mould in the bathroom, air conditioning which barely cooled the room and made so much noise you couldn't sleep. We complained the next day and were moved to a bigger slightly better room, this again was filthy and we were eaten alive by gnats plus no balcony which made the room dark and dingy. We complained yet again and we asked for a room with a balcony which they gave us which was much better but still not the cleanest!!
The food is very poor, i had sickness and diarrhoea by the third day of arriving as did many other people we met in the hotel(who were also supposed to be staying at Titanic Beach). There are pigeons nesting in the main restaurant and flying around the place.
The pools are dirty with broken tiles all around, the waterslides are dangerous with insufficient safety, there are no lifegaurds anywhere on site and the animation team insist on playing inapropriate music at ridiculously high volume all day long!!
The only thing this hotel has going for it are the staff who couldn't be more helpful.
Probably the worst and most certainly the dirtiest hotel i have ever stayed in!!

I stayed in this hotel with my husband and child for a week, in general the hotel was really great, the food , the rooms, the service, the beach is really huge one. The room was of acceptable standard. The air conditioning was good and the cleaning was excellent. The hotel was probably more nice 10 years ago, but and now it is ok. They are making the non stop renovation. Especially, I liked the Italian restaurant. The party there and the evening was wonderful, unforgettable. We were very happy to relax in a comfortable place, in a pleasant atmosphere. All meals were delicious. We will recommend this restaurant to our friends who are going to this hotel. We got pleasure from the dancing fountain show too.

hi. we are a family from the north of sweden. we wanted sun and bath. we got it! Our kids where sick, i was sick (stomache) my wife got insect bites...so much that she had to get treatment. i think the hotel staff did what you could expect. we got good treatment.
But the hotel is really like going to moscow...the egypts where really sorry about this...they told us to go to sheik el shaim instead.
The price was good and the stay wasnt bad, the food was typical russian, everything was made for the russians...
our kids was altough happy.
the best in our stay was the doctor...mr khater who is a warm and kind person whos got the heart on the right place.
Avoid the tatooguy on the beach!!!! our kids got problems after a few days!!!

We got sick and its was unlucky, but the hotel is quit ok!

Staff is trying to steal everything they can get their greedy hands on (as all the rest of the population i Urghada). Everybody is rude. The food lacks of taste and heat. This is one of the worst places in the entire world. People suggesting this hotel (and city, country part of the world) to other people are either bitter and wants to bring the same feeling of disgust to you as they self felt or just plainly from really poor conditions at home.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for a week and found the staff to be so friendly (all of whom spoke really good English) and accomodating and it didn't feel false or put on. They genuinely wanted guests to enjoy their stay. The food was better than expected - chicken, beef, fish, fresh vegetables, salads. There's an Italian, Asian, Russian resturant as well as 3 other resturants at the hotel (some are at the hotel across the road - Golden 5) whihc was had the choice to eat at (and we did excpe the Russian resturant - the Italian resturant wasn't that great). The desserts and breakfast choices were limited to the same everyday but this wasn't a major problem. My friend and I were only half board and so we grabbed lunch from the beach bar which cost about £3.50 with a soft drink (served in plastic cups !).

The hotel was clean and we were really pleased with our room which was more like a suite (because we had a spacious living room as well a big bedroom and bathroom). The fridge was well stocked with coke and water which was free.

There were a few shops around - gift shop and supermarket. The supermarket came in handy for snacks. Everything in there was fixed price so no haggling necessary.

The beach was a bit of a trek (10-15min walk through the hotel across the road) but there was a shuttle bus from the hotel to the beach which takes about 5 mins.

The hotel entertainment was all aimed at the Russians with the occassion English reference thrown in. EVERYONE at the hotel was Russian and we found some of them to be quite rude but it's easy to ignore as the hotel, beach and hotel staff make up for their unfriendlyness.

I would say that this is a very good hotel to stay at. Having read a lot of the previous reviews and then experiencing the hotel for myself I thought that some of the reviews were quite harsh. I only have one negative comment and that was the lack of hot water. There were a few days were the water in the bathroom was not even luke warm - the hotel staff said that there was a problem with boilers and that the water system was used to service our hotel and the massive hotel across the road. After day 2 of a cold showers it really started to get on my wick and I complained again. The next day we had luke warm water !

Hopefully this is resolved now and people can enjoy their stay at this great hotel.
