I stayed 1 week at Siva in Feb/ 2013 on an all inclusive package. The hotel is huge (550 rooms); the pool is great, constant temperature of 25 degrees.
The private beach is ideal for families: around 1m deep, no waves.
The hotel offers animation throughout the day including kids club and sports. I particularly enjoyed playing volleyball on the beach twice a day. There is a bar on the beach that offers grill and drinks; by the pool you can get waffles, crepes, ice cream and coffee in the afternoon. Not good if you are on a diet, the restaurants offer a good variety of dishes, salads, desserts. Food is great but drinks are a bit disappointing: they are locally produced, the wines and beer are ok but a found the coke extremely sweet. Cocktails are bit warm; they don’t use/have ice to prepare it.
There is not much to do in Hurghada and the street sellers are very annoying when go out. Check the weather, it is always warm but February can be very windy.
Overall Siva is a great hotel to relax and enjoy a beach holiday.More
