We really liked the atmosphere. Great destination for honeymooners. Food is really good as well. It was a nice experience. ;), we would definitely come back again. . The sea view from the superior room was breath taking. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they need to be trained to be more professional. The Pool was not heated, which made the swimming experience a little cold one, but it was ok. The animation team was very interesting, they had different shows every night. Sahl hashish is one of the unique locations in Egypt.

Having spent a couple of days in Cairo where we have been ripped off by the grand pyramid hotel and their staff. Tropitel was a huge contrast from our experience in cairo. The resort was very clean. The staff were amazing, they were willing to help out without expecting anything in return. Overall, if you want to have a peace of mind, while enjoying the beatiful red sea, Tropitel is definitely the place.

Spent a week at the Topitel, and I must say the service was exceptional both the Manager and Bar and Beverage Manager Hosseiny could not do enough for us and would be recommending it highly. The Mexican restaurant was amazing and all the staff were very attentive and accomadating. We would defiently be returning.

Room Tip: Upgrade to club room is a good benefit

Just came back from spending a week of bliss at this hotel, really sad that not many tourists there due to the troubles up in Cairo --- really do have no problems down here guys!!!
Any way, back to holiday, spent a week here with my girlie, no stigma n all the staff are so helpfull and want nothing more than to serve you. Special thank you to Mr Hosseiny Ahmed - the Food and Beverage Manager, this guy was always around making sure you are happy and are wanting for nothing. Escorting you to dinner, really a lovely guy.

Room Tip: upgraded to club room, sea view balcony. over looking the beach

After reading reviews, thought this hotel would be ideal for our 1st wedding anniversary (late in life)
On arrival,we were impressed. We were greeted with a lovely cocktail and a wet flannel to freshen up.we were then taken to balcony outside of reception, we have to admit,it took our breath away.
We were the shown our rooms(bellboy in tow). The shown we were given was not what we had booked ( in brochure) superior deluxe double.(which we paid extra) when asked we were told they had two types of these ( not explained in brochure's)We met a couple that had only booked in January, and had a room that we were hoping for at no extra charge.
We unpacked and as instructed went down for our evening meal, only to find it was like feeding time at the zoo.It took us 20/30 mins to get a clean plate ( saucer). The restaurant could not cope.Screaming kids and mother's actually loading food onto, and under their pushchairs. Not a too impression on the first night.Apparently. they allow the local Egyptians in,on a Friday.
We chose the Mexican for our special night,MEXICAN!!!!! No steak/no chilli,so opted for the Mexican beefburger, which turned out to be left over burgers and very dry buns.Sweets were OK
The beach was disappointing (gravel)you could enter sea to swim/snorkel but only over long jetty
The beachbar although very friendly, waiters who remembered you, only served leftover burgers from Mexican ??? And played the same CD over and over (club music)
POOLS ?? In brochure (looks like one) are actually the three the hotel have. The first ( pool bar pool) is cold the 2nd Luke warm the 3rd can only be described as a paddling pool.
We know as regulars visitors to Egypt that entertainment is low key,but the main bar is in reception area,(non smoking) the other is the sheesh bar, smoking and sheesh pipes allowed ,which is also the the kids entertainment????. We went to bar in reception, only to be told to take a seat, they would be our drinks over ( 20mins later)
Only half the hotel is actually up and running, the other half is built but no fixtures n fittings, they are waiting to see how things go first. If they open second half the one and only restaurant will never cope.
We stayed at this hotel for only one week of our holiday, after which my husband asked rep's "take us to another hotel or please take us home'.If this is your first time in Egypt you may be put off coming again, please don't be.we think this hotel is in its early stages and still has a lotof learning to do ( but not to our expense) :-(
The hotel and its staff try their best, but they have a lot to learn,

Rooms
Very large rooms with a view of the pool and the sea from the balcony. Clean and well equipped with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.

Staff
The staff were very friendly and chatty. They soon learned what you liked and looked after you well. For example, the chef always remembered I liked my omelettes well done, and the waiters remembered I liked decaf coffee and orange juice for breakfast. Fenkry the waiter also looked after us well and kept us entertained with his sense of humour. We were also sent off with a little bag of snacks for our journey home on our last day. Similarly to other reviewers, I did feel bombarded by staff trying to sell you things, for example the spa guys. Also some of the animation team were quite pushy and asking why you haven't been to such and such or telling you to clap. We didn't go to all of the evening entertainment but the whirling dervish was very good. The fakir seemed a bit silly.

Food
A la Cartes were delicious. The palm buffet restaurant was always good quality but sometimes repetitive and with limited choices. However, the theme nights were good and we particularly enjoyed the evenings with traditional Egyptian food. The Italian does pizza at lunchtimes and on our last day they were also doing BBQ at the restaurant.

Beach
Lovely beach with the best house reef I've seen at a hotel. There is a small lagoon to the right, which is usually gentler, but the best snorkelling is to be had off the end of the jetty if the water is calm. There are lots of fish as soon as you get off the jetty, but it is really worth swimming quite a way to the left, then swimming to the right both before and after a large gap in the coral. Much bigger fish there and all sorts of things to see.

Summary
On the whole a wonderful hotel with a great reef, which is great as I'd gone to the Red Sea to snorkel. The staff look after you well also.

This hotel is best for couples or families or friends wanting a quiet break. If you want night life and to socialise it is probably not for you. It is probably not ideal for singles either. Most guests keep themselves to themselves.

Interior: like in all Egyptian hotels, clean, but really used furniture with a liking water from shower.
Food: quality is good, but variety is really bad.
Annimation: is really bad, no plan, no charisma..
Staff: If you leave tips everywhere and everytime is good.
Location: very good. Sandy beach, nice reef.

Resume: Medium 5 stars hotel.
