Having just returned from a week at this wonderful hotel..my first visit..i know it is my mission to return. I cannot praise highly enough the management and staff at this outstanding establishment. The area itself has natural beauty and the beach a joy to behold. my personal favourites for attentiveness and attention to detail were ibrahim on the beach and ahmed at the bar. The food was good quality. varied and well presented. i will return with my entourage of my mother and sister...marc anthony will follow.

I will not repeat all the excellent comments made by other recent reviewers as the number of us who loved our stay at the Premier Romance far out numbers those who didn't, so I just intend to comment on some specifics that made this week stand out for us.

We also booked via the Secret Escapes/Inspired Luxury Escapes route and were clearly told about the visa issue. This is made very straightforward at the airport by the Egyptian company, OTS, who handle all the SE/ILE arrivals/transfers from the airport. They have their own visa desk, with an 'Inspired Luxury Escapes' sign above it, which you are directed to by the man holding a sign with your name on it. Though it looks very chaotic with the many men with name boards, it is an organised form of chaos and it meant that we were through visa purchase/passport control and into baggage collection within 10 minutes. Just in time to visit the loo, collect bags and move to the front of the arrivals hall to find another OTS man (green t-shirts) with the list of names who passed us onto another OTS man who took us to our private transfer vehicle and accompanied us to the hotel and stayed with us through the very quick and efficient hotel check in (as described by other reviewers). They (OTS) provide a very individual and swift service on behalf of Inspired Luxury Escapes. This was also the same for the return transfer.

Now onto the Hotel, I echo all the good/excellent comments made by recent reviewers as they were at the Hotel when we were (22nd Feb - 1st March). However, I also echo the comment about some reception staff, made by Straussbunny and unfortunately the reception staff who were excellent were few and far between. There were probably 3 who stood out head and shoulders above the rest (because of their height and ability to provide a good service!) but unfortunately we only managed to get the name of one - Amyr. Between the 3 good staff I experienced, I managed to get change for Egyptian pounds nearly every day, including one day when the receptionist sent one of the concierges out for some!

Other reviewers have mentioned some specific examples of excellent service and as there are so many good staff it is not easy to note all the names, however, for consistently excellent service over the whole week I must also mention some names:
Beach accommodation - Ibrahim (big) and Ahmed for towels, personal escort service to the sunloungers/umbrella or cabana including glasses and goggles cleaning. Ahmed was on hand to escort me to our preferred location at 7.30 am every morning!! Beach drinks - the staff here take turns at the various bars around the hotel over the week but Ibrahim (little), who provides fruit salads mid afternoon (what a brilliant touch) and Khaled stay in the memory for their hard work.
Restaurant staff - there were three stand out members of staff for us, Ahmed who works the breakfast shift or outside snack bar afternoon shift plus every evening in the Chinese, so cheerful and always on hand to top up your drink or provide a replacement. Moawad, who works breakfast or lunch shifts and then every night in the Italian restaurant - smile at Moawad and you are rewarded with a big smile back, talk to the staff and they remember you. Never a morning went past without us being greeted at breakfast by a big smile and a handshake from both Ahmed and Moawad, (after we had met them and spoken to them for the first time) and they always asked us when we were going to book for the a la carte, Chinese and Italian restaurants so they knew when to expect us. On the nights that we visited those two restaurants we were greeted like old friends. I can't comment on another reviewers bad perception of Moawad except to say that we were not the only ones to recognise Moawads strengths (see Qheads review). I really hope that he survived the 7 hour bus trip to Cairo and enjoyed his 10 days at home with family. The 3rd member of the restaurant staff that stood out as excellent was Saber M. He sorted us out on our first night (he knew that we were newbies!), educated us in the ways of the buffet and kept our Rose wine topped up, whenever he was working the section that we were sitting in. Don't get me wrong the vast majority of staff work very hard but some standout because we got to interact with them on more occasions. One final restaurant mention - the breakfast egg chef - Amyr. Just watching him toss a runny omelete mix adds to the holiday enjoyment and what a twinkle he has in his eye. We have seen some very miserable egg chefs on our travels at other AI hotels over the years and Amyr is an example to them all. Thank you for some lovely omelets Amyr.
Also a big thank you to our 'room servicer' Mohammed - it was always superbly cleaned and ready for our return at sundown.
Unfortunately' we witnessed some appalling treatment of some staff by a small minority of miserable looking 'guests'. There is no need to shout at staff across the dining room or treat them as slaves just because we can afford a nice holiday and they don't get well paid. They work long hours every day, 7 days a week and they don't deserve to be treated rudely or like dirt. A smile and a handshake means so much to them.
It seems that Mr Mohammed, the manager sees a lot of the guests during their holidays, unfortunately we didn't have the pleasure until we were waiting for our return transfer because we had an issue with our 14.00 hour check out promised by Secret Escapes. Apparently this is not a guarantee and depends on availability so shouldn't be advertised!! However, his fine management of his team of mainly excellent staff cannot be doubted. As we say in the UK - 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating' and the Premier Romance is an extremely good pudding!!! If you want the free wifi to reach into your room then 1st floor low numbers are the way forward as they are closer to the central reception! With luck and a good wind we will be back later next year.

Room Tip: It all depends what you want - all Secret Escapes/ILE guests get a seaview superior room and all would appear to have a good view. We were in 1101 the first room on a corridor leading away from reception, which was great for reception for the free 'public area' wifi. View was fine but would have been better from a room on floor 2 or 3. It suited us fine as was close to all facilities and we didn't need to use the lift.

We have just returned from 10 days at this wonderful hotel. Like previous reviewers we also travelled with Secret/Island Escapes. We also weren't warned about the visa purchase needed at the airport ( the flight attendants had told us it was only for people expecting to travel out of the resort - which was the case when we had been to Sharm in the past, and as we were not planning any trips, we did not buy the visa then.) However at Hurghada passport control, they told us this was not the case and we must buy the visa to be able to leave the airport ! So be warned, you will need to buy the visa!
The private transfer was good and took about 25 minutes. Check in was smooth and fast. The room was amazing. We were originally dismayed because there wasn't a double bed, but within 5 minutes someone arrived to push the two huge beds together, so we ended up with a massive bed.
The location, the view, the beach etc were great. The beach staff , the room staff and the bar staff were superb, their smiles come from their hearts and they truly understand customer service, however the reception staff did not! Most of the time they are in the office behind reception, so you start off feeling like you are disturbing them. Time and time again we heard fellow guests complain that they had been told that they couldn't book shuttle buses, couldn't change money etc and were told they had to come back at another time. We experienced this twice, in fact on our last day when we asked to change a large note to a smaller note (Egyptian to Egyptian, so no exchange rate calculation needed) we were told this couldn't be done until we had checked out ! We went back late morning because we wanted the money to give tips to some of the staff, and were still told this wasn't possible. It was only when we asked to speak to the manager that we finally got our note changed to smaller denomination! The reception staff should be made to shadow Ibrahim on the beach or Khaleed in the bar, to see how to communicate with customers !

The Manager is great and runs a fantastic hotel. We would give the Premier Romance an overall 10 out of 10. We will certainly be going back. This is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Book it now !

We returned on Friday after spending a week at this hotel. From start to finish we were tremendously impressed with the hotel, the staff and the personal touches that made us feel special. The staff on the whole were fantastic, very polite, incredibly well mannered and immaculately dressed. The bar service on the beach was occasionally a bit slow but not exactly the end of the world if they forget your drink!
The other reviews on here are correct in saying there is literally nothing to do in the sahl hasheesh area where this hotel is. There are a lot of derelict or half built hotels which is such a tremendous shame as it would be a fabulous resort if they had been finished. There was a small amount of entertainment on 2 of the evenings but that's about it but I knew that at the time of booking the hotel so can hardly complain about that!!
The manager appears genuinely concerned that guests are having a good time and nothing is too much trouble. His staff are a credit to him.
Can I also just give a quick mention to Maowd (sorry if I spelt his name wrong). He has previously been complained about on here. We found him initially to be a bit offish but once we had spent time getting to know him, he was incredibly polite and very helpful. He also mentioned that he was due to go home to Cairo for a 10 day holiday after 50 days of being at the hotel and not having seen his wife in this time. Might explain why he wasn't always full of smiles!
I cannot recommend this hotel enough and would return in a heart beat for a week of luxury and relaxation.

We loved it. A perfect R&R holiday. The service from all the staff was second to none, it would be unfair to single out anyone as they where all exceptional. If you want a totally relaxing holiday, this is the place for you. Clear blue sea, clear blue sky, tranquil, unhurried, a perfect "get away from it all". Could write a whole chapter on how wonderfull the hotel, the staff and the weather was, but it would be far easier, and more enjoyable for you to go and try it for yourselves. We certainly intend to return.

Room Tip: A sea view room is a must.
