Stayed for just one week...wish it had been more!

Lovely stylish Hotel and really great staff. Have been to Egypt before but found this Hotel was all we wanted.

Really lovely spacious room with loads of space for all our bits and pieces. Nice decor..not cheesy faxe Egyptian stuff just nice relaxing colours...not that we spent much time in the room!

Loads to do in the day if you wanted and we did water aerobics, stretching, belly dancing and also had days when we just chilled with a cocktail on a beach bed.Not sure why some people complained about plastic glasses by the pools...seems like common sense to me...broken glass and barefoot kids not a winner surely...come on people use your common sense you would soon be moaning if you cut yourself!!

Liked the food...especially the fish restaurant...really nice atmosphere and lovely food...enjoyed all the places we went to and the service was great. Glasses topped up and no one rushing you whever you went. Drinks service around the beach was very good and we liked the beach bar for lunch ...especially a bit later when it was less busy.

Reception staff were really helpful and helped us when we had a small problem which they resolved in no time at all. The manager Mohmed Hasan also gave us some great advise about avoiding the local taxi drivers and some good places to go in the Marina. We followed his advise and had a good evening away from the Hotel but were pleased to come back in a nice taxi to a warm welcome. Follow his advice and use Hotel taxi...much nicer and safer especially if you are not sure where you are going. Having said that we found Hurghada to be safe and once you get used to the sales approach in the shops it was a lot of fun.

Spa was also good and enjoyed the massage, Spotlessly clean and very nice experience

All in all this holiday was everything we wanted in terms of relaxation, fun and sun. If you are a big night life person Hurghada is probably not for you but if you like good low key times I would definatly recommend this Hotel.

Stayed here for 2 weeks from 6th May.

Holiday excellent. Nice grounds, excellent staff and very enjoyable stay.

Travelled with my husband and met up with English people round the pool (surrogate mum to Ryan and Becki and nan to Evie and Charile - you know who you are!).

Pool staff excellent and very friendly. Did not have any issues with any of the staff.

Guest relations spoke to us on several occasions and we made comments that we felt were necessary at the time.

Ate in the Four Corners most evenings as this was the least busiest. Lots of options - but stuck to what we knew and liked.

Waterpark excellent - good to see the adults having such a great time.

Would recomment this hotels.

I have booked my room thru Hotel.com, after viewing the rates, reviews, and these very beautiful shots they took for this heavenly place.
Everything is just like what you see in the pictures, Clean and Spacious Room, beautiful Pool View outside the room. Not so noisy at night so you can get a restful sleep. The food is good, but IS NOT a FIVE STAR Hotel Food. It is so good for families and children with its 18 different Pools.
BUT, and you know what comes after but …
For dining, DO NOT go to TOPAZ restaurant , it is not clean, not well organized , and very hot, they turn off the air conditioner if you come late for your meal, so you have to eat while you are sweating.
This other restaurant (I can’t remember its name) has great food, well organized, and the staff is friendlier than TOPAZ’s.
They offered one bottle of Water at arriving, and you have to buy water for the rest of your stay.
The free Water at Pools and restaurants tastes bad. Also the juices as they are made from the same bad taste water.
If you are driving from Cairo to this hotel, I recommend if you choose a near place than this hotel. As it is located far away from other good hotels on Sahl hashish road.
The VERY RUDE situation we had; was as follows.
• I booked thru Hotels.com a Double Superior Room, its description according to the site was,
• One Queen Bed
• Two Twin Beds
When we arrived and informed them by our booking, they told us our room had 1 queen bed ONLY. We showed them the confirmation mail we got, and the room description we had. A manager came and talked to us, and after reading the above Room description we showed him, he said ‘No Sir, the site means 1 Queen Bed OR 2 twin bed … so if you want this room with 3 beds you have to pay the difference’ as if we do not know English and came from Pluto. My husband got nervous around him and told him ‘This is inappropriate way to talk to us as if we do not understand what we read; we need a room with this description immediately’
The manager walked away as if he was going to solve it, and came saying ‘ OK sir, we managed to get you a room with 3 beds’ talking as if he offered us an extra service or something although this should not have happened from the beginning.

Do not think I would come again.

Room Tip: My room was 6125 having a Pool View, and was quite at night, also near from the best restaurant ... not TOPAZ the bad restaurant.

I stayed at this hotel with my partner and our 2 children for 2 weeks from 5th May 2013. We went with Thomson.

Overall I found the hotel to be mostly excellent, there are a few negatives which i'll get to but overall, we had a fantastic holiday.

The hotel is kept immaculate and the gardens, pools, resturants & bars are spotless, food was fine, The main buffet Topaz was busy at times but I never had to queue for any food. If you go with Thomson you can also use the buffet resturant at the adjacent Blue Marine hotel, this is called the Four Corners and has a the same selection but is less busy and more relaxed.

Food I thought was a good standard, all served hot, deserts are mostly cakes but ice cream is available in the evening / ice lollies in the pool & beach bars from 12pm.

Being with Thomson you get a lilac wristband which is exclusive to Thomson and that allows you unlimited visits to 3 of the 4 a la carte resturants, 1 visit per stay for the Italian which for me is the pick of the bunch although most are really good.

Drinks all fine, beer was pretty decent, didnt go much on the white wine which is dispensed via a tap. Good selection of cocktails and generally service was ok. Few times it wasnt good, but generally, no problems.

Rooms were fine, decor perhaps a bit dated, we had a family room which was a good size, and very clean. Walk in shower but if your not 1st in, the floor can be slippery!

Pools were great, always lifeguards present, the floors are very slippery and get very very hot so flip flops are a must, however to combat this the hotel have put pool matts around every exit point of the pool and around the entire waterpark area. Stick to these and / or take it slow you'll be fine.

Beach was ok, not really sand more like fine grit but the hotel cant really do much about this, sea is shallow for quite a long way out (again not the hotels fault) but you can swim in the small bay in the hotel next to this one. Did see a few jelly fish and avoided them however I was told they dont have tentacles and therefore dont sting however I didnt test this theroy and would urge caution!

Brits in the minority, saw lots of Russians, a few germans and some Poles, Russians can be rude but I didnt notice that to much.

Staff cant do enough to help, all really professional, couldnt have met a nicer bunch.

Few minor irritations:

Mosquitos - sly little buggers and a nightmare to kill when they arent flying - quite a few of them, only at night so take a plug in for your room.

Irons - took 2/3 requests for an iron and ironing board which was a bit annoying and they arent the best. Ive seen hotter ice.

Pool Bar - Menu isnt great, beach bar had for me better options, can get boring having only a selection of 5/6 main courses to choose fromover 14 days, that said, Topaz is open for lunch.

Four Corners buffet only open until 9, meaning one evening I had to rush my dinner, have been told however it re opens at 10pm for the new / late arrivals

Kids disco - Great apart from all the adults smoking it in. One time it was so bad we took the kids straight back out and we have complained to the hotel, as far as we know they will ban smoking in the kids disco in due course.

Sometimes its hard to be understood, good tip is to call reception and ask to speak to Guest Relations if you need anything, they speak far better english and have an english lady working there also.

Thomson rep was fantastic, the few issues we had with our room (only minor) were sorted quickly and efficiently. Also had a massage at the Spa there which was one of the best ive ever had.

All in all a great holiday and would recommend this hotel.

We visited the hotel with 2 small children (2 and 4 years old) and with grandparents
Overall we had a very pleasant time, but i guess i would try another hotel next time.

plus:
- most importantly, everything is extremely clean and tidy: none of us got any food poisoning, weak stomach or anything like that;
- ideal place for children. we particularly appreciated small pools with shadow top above and special menu for them and most importantly the family room - which type of rooms were (to me very surprisingly) hardly available in other hotels of Hurghada;
- the food is excellent and there is very wide variety (with several different types of restaurants available);
- mix of guests in the hotel (not only Russians), most people are with children thus a relatively calm and relaxed environment;
- I received the best massage ever: really strong.

minus:
- sea: yes, you should be suspicious, if there is anything like "aqua" in a hotel name...the sea is very shallow: though maybe ideal for children, but not for snorkeling. But you can swim in the neighboring hotel's beach
- there are many guests at the same time, which is well managed in the overall area of the hotel, still you spend quite some time with queuing;
- the place is an "all inclusive" one of course, and you can drink endless excellent cocktails, still you have to fight heavily to get 1-2 bottles of water into your room (for which you have paid anyway);
- internet is very expensive and i did not manage to get it (whenever i tried, i always got the standard reply to come back an hour later - but i only tried next day)
- reception people were not very helpful, you had to push them for anything to be arranged. In contrast, people at the bars, around the pools, in the restaurants very extremely friendly and helpful

Finally, some tips:
- You can swim in the neighboring hotel's beach
- ask for a guy if you need a strong massage –simply excellent
- try out the badawya vip - excellent! In contrast the ship with glass boat for 42 euros is a rip-off.

Room Tip: if you are with small children and you use a baby monitor, the family rooms are sufficiently close to the main buidlings, allowing you to enjoy the evening (not getting stuck in your room )
