loved it - no dislikes, nice walk around the marina, no pressure for going into the shops - a few nice bars as well.

The view of the boats and the sea; with the lovely architecture of the surrounding buildings is just a perfect combination for me! ♥

Quiet by day.luxurious yachts to view just enough bars and shops to keep everyone happy. Friday night there is a free live music show with fire dancers.we used the tuk tuks to get there from hotel as they cost only 50 p per person.great fun

Abu Tig Marina bursts with restaurants, and none of them disappoints. Whether you want a top class meal, a pizza or a burger you can get it here.
A new marina to supplement the established fleet of multi-million pound ocean-going yachts is partially open, with new restaurants and shops beyond the Abu Tig. They continue the tradition at El Gouna of providing national dishes ranging from Vietnam and India to Italy and France, though the latest restaurants are Chinese and (not open while I was there) Japanese.
It is a great area to dine, but don't ignore the attractions of the Downtown restaurants which are equally good as most of the marina dineries.
Getting to the Marina is easy.
You can buy a day (5LE) or week (20LE) bus ticket to use as often as you like on open-sided, wooden-seated local buses that run until 1am (but 3am on the West Golf route). Alternatively, you can hop a Toc Toc (5LE) per person anywhere in El Gouna, or choose a taxi (15LE). Going Toc Toc? Hold tight! The drivers use side lights 99% of the time, and go as fast as their three-wheeled motorbikes will allow.
