another amazing two weeks at the rihana resort and as always we left el gouna with a heavy heart, plotting out return! this was our second visit to the rihana (7th time in el gouna) and it was even better than the first! we got a newly refurbished room, which was gorgeous, and all other facilities were in as good shape (if not better) as last time! The animation staff were, as always, brilliant! fantastic to see lamo & marina again!! and meeting new staff who have joined since our last visit (trine, charlotte & hero) great hardworking lovely people (also Thomas cook Belgian favourites/animator syb!) ...... just cant say enough good about it, good food, good drinks, staff are great with out kids, lovely rooms, great facilities......just the best :)

Room Tip: tell them what u need (before booking of you can) and i swear i dont think there is a situation they...

Hotel picked based on TripAdvisor users' ratings and I'm disappointed. Reading opinions we had the impression that the hotel will be comparable to the Sheraton, but after staying at both hotels I stand by my opinion three years before that the Sheraton is the best choice.

Cons:

1 The hotel does not deal with bugs. On the playground, we saw that all children are bitten (ours too). The bathroom on the first floor had a big ant. Despite spraying and equipment to combat mosquitoes in the room, every night hunting for mosquitoes biting us and the child. Did not open up the windows and in spite of all the new mosquitoes popping up every day (probably get into the room through a ventilation duct). On the walls were visible bloodstains made by previous guests. We left at least dozens of new spots. On the playground in the sand ants!
2. According to the advice of Tripadvisor users wrote earlier email to the hotel asking for a quiet room, because traveling with a baby. Immediately after arrival the front desk employee said that $ 5 tip for room keys which I wish were not enough and I have to pay at least $ 10 per room (traveling with another couple).
3 After breakfast we forgot a jacket from the restaurant, and never regained. I came a few hours later to service, the waiter said he found this jacket that we look after and he was going to bring it. Then came to me his superior and told that no one has found any jacket! After the intervention of the reception several managers went to look for jacket and never regained. Embarrassing!

The PLUS:
1. 4th time in Egypt, including two five-star hotels, but here the best room cleaning.
2. Tasty food.
3. Location.

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. We first visited in 2010 and were wondering if it would still be the same, and yes it was! From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly and welcoming, the hotel is spotlessly clean and all the staff work really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay, never pestering for tips, although we always tip at the end of the holiday.
We never had any problems getting a sun bed on the beach or round the pool, even though we witnessed towels being put out at the crack of dawn and no-one appearing on them until midday (do think the pool staff should do something to stop this)!
The food was lovely, we ate the salads, ice cream and jelly and never had any problems. The management were always round talking to holiday makers, making sure they were having a good time and didn't have any problems. Love the new look Peanuts Bar, much more welcoming decor.
Venture out into the town, it's just round the corner from the hotel and has a lovely atmosphere at night, perfectly safe, we never felt threatened at all. Would recommend, Billiard Sports Bar, Ibrahim and his staff were so welcoming and friendly.
Getting through Hurghada Airport was quick and easy.
The only thing we weren't impressed with was the Thomas Cook Rep. Only interested in flogging their trips and if you were a first timer there he did not give much information at all on the hotel and the area. Also, the letter put under our door about our departure did not have all the relevant information on as it was only interested in us filling out their questionnaire!

All in all, a lovely relaxed, laid-back hotel, and yes I would recommend it to my family and friends and can't wait to visit again.

My sister and i have just returned from this fantastic resort on the 18th May, On arrival check in was very quick and we was greeted with soft drinks and shown to our room 4106 facing the lagoon. We e-mailed the hotel to request a room by the lagoon as my sister has been to hotel before. We had our meals in the main restaurants and there was such a choice to have, the food was always hot and extremely lovely, after reading previous reviews i cannot understand how anyone can complain, there was something for everyone and different theme nights in the evening. I have been to a lot of hotels in Egypt and can say that the food in this hotel was by far the best. In the evenings you can sit in the sunset bar where you can get free wifi and are severed drinks when your glass is empty. Also the animation team put on a very very good show every night, every night it was something different and did make us laugh at times, you can see there is a lot of hard work put into this, well done Marina, Lamo, Hero, and Charlotte. Marina for her brilliant dance moves and organization, Lamo his break dancing/street dance, the energy he has never seems to fail, Hero, his handstands that went on for ever. Well done guys. They all seem to work together as a team brilliantly. The peanuts bar was the next stop after the show again the animation team organized the guest with entertainment and music encouraging all to join in the fun. When this had finished you can go to the back of the peanuts bar for a small disco where there is a DJ Ahmed who is very good at playing the tunes and keeping the guests on the dance floor. The only down side to this bar is they stop serving you at 12 midnight and you have to buy your drinks after this regardless to whether you are all inclusive or not which i thought was wrong, but i suppose they have their reasons. I was not happy when i asked for a cup of tea at 23.45hrs and when i didn't get it by 12.02 am i asked for it again and got told i would have to sign for it, i did think if they stop serving alcohol they should carry on with soft drinks with out having to pay, that's my only complain. During the day the animation team encourage people to join in the yoga with Marina which brilliant, Water volley ball with Hero which was fun to watch, water zumba, and beach volley ball late afternoon. All these are held around the main pool, there is a quiet pool with a small paddling pool which is very nice if you want some quiet time, a childrens pool with a slide or you can sit on the lagoon, the food at the beach bar by the lagoon is very basic but very tasty which is fine if you don't want nothing big. there is a boat trip from the lagoon which lasts about 1/2hr where Lamo explains all about the lagoon and how it was made, this was very interesting. There are a few trips in the evening time that the animation team organize which you pay extra for but are well worth the money as was great fun. Our room was fine and nothing to say much about that as it had 2 beds, a wardrobe with a safe in, a bathroom and tv. All the hotel staff are very friendly and the barman at the beach bar always made us laugh and was always happy. The hotel manager came round to us one evening and was asking if all was ok with our stay which of course it was. All in all a fantastic holiday with fantastic staff.

We have just returned from yet another fantastic trip to The Rihana. ALL of the staff could not do enough for us.

As always a warm welcome was given to us from the moment we got off the bus to the minute Gamal, the hotel manager wished us well and saw us on to the bus at the end of another great holiday.

A visit to the wellness centre for a massage was well worth the experience. Make sure you check out the two on site a la carte restaurants both Dolce Vita and Chez Pascal are great.

A friend who joined us had a few problems with their tour operator and their return pick up for the airport. Hussan and the reception staff could not have been of more help in sorting out their transfer problem, even though it was nothing to do with the hotel. Well done to all the reception staff. Already looking forward to our next visit. Later this year we hope!!!

Once again thanks to all.

I've been a guest at Rihana 5 times, and every single time has been a holiday I will never forget. The hotel is a huge resort with a lot of posibilities and amazing entertainment! The staff is helpful and friendly and you always get what you want. The animation team is doing an amazing job every time - sport activities in the daytime and shows and dancing in the evening. There's always a very good atmosphere inside Peanuts Bar.
Life is not about the time passing by, it's about the times you will never forget - I can promise you that you will NOT forget a holiday at Rihana. You will always think back with a big smile on your lips.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Three Corners Ocean View Hotel. It was a great holiday, firstly all the staff from guest Relations to Reception to the Restaurant,Animation and Security were excellent always ready to talk and nothing was ever too much trouble, they all gave the impression they were enjoying their work with all the guests. Our cleaner Mina was excellent and Syed and Albert in the Hotel shop were both funny and ready to talk even when we weren't buying
The food despite us being fussy English eaters was very good with a vast choice at breakfast.
Our room overlooked the lagoon with a balcony and lovely view. The bed was both large and very comfortable.
Out and about in El Gouna we went on the Lagoon trip with Alex as our guide making the trip interesting and enjoyable. Our Tuc -tuc ride was an experience not to be missed even though we were still vibrating 10 minutes after getting off.
This was our first visit to Egypt and we can't wait to come back.Thankyou so much to all the staff at The Three Corners Ocean View who made our holiday so enjoyable
