“Fantastic”

Absolutely loved it. Rooms were lovely. The staff were superb!! They genuinely couldn't do enough and tipping was never expected. The breakfast and room service were brilliant and the location was 10 minute walk or 2 minute tok tok ride (50 pence each) from the main marina which had some of the finest restaurants I have eaten in on holiday.

This hotel was just what we wanted - quiet and comfortable with excellent service and spotlessly clean inside and out.
We had a marina view room which was cleaned every day and bed linen was changed mid week. Breakfast was good with a plentiful supply of lovely fresh bread, cheeses, cold meats, fruit and cereals. There was a hot food station for omelettes, scrambled eggs, crepes etc.
We were there B&B but the little tuktuks were always around to take us to the marina or downtown for dinner (go to La Scala at the marina and Athena downtown for great food and the warmest of welcomes )
We must give special praise to the hotel staff. Without exception they were all friendly, helpful and efficient - nothing was too much trouble for them. Peter on reception ("my favourite Egyptian"!!) was particularly helpful and gave us lots of useful information.
It all added to the enjoyment of our holiday and we will definitely return to the Fanadir.

We had a lovely time for a week at Fanadir. The room was very nice with a large comfortable bed (almost too big :-) nice shower and balcony. It would however have been nice with a radio/MP3/iPod/iPad dock in the room to listen to music, but it was nice to have a TV with international channels (quite a few in very poor quality though). We would also have appreciated free/cheap internet - it was very expensive (hour, day or week pass).

The hotel was very service minded considering that my boyfriend had a broken leg - and they offered him a wheel chair for free for the entire stay.
It is a very quiet hotel, no children allowed :-) We feared that it would be a "pensioners' hotel" filled with old people, but it was a good mix of younger and older couples.
We only had the breakfast as part of our stay, which was good - nice to have a chef cook eggs and pancakes to order (we missed bacon though ;-)
The a la carte menu for lunch and dinner wasn't particularly good though, but of course it was nice to have the option on the nights we didn't want to go down to the Marina.

In general we would definitely recommend this hotel for a couple's trip (would probably be a bit too quiet/boring for a friend group for example).

Room Tip: As my boyfriend had a broken leg, and I was pregnant we asked for a ground floor room (no elevators...

Stayed here for 4 nights with other friends. My husband and I were upgraded to a marina view room, our friends stayed with the pool view. To be honest the pool view was better.
Breakfast was good and varied.
Pool area almost empty most of the day as loads were out 'kite surfing' till late afternoon.
Tea and coffee in the room was a bit 'hit and miss' and we had to ask for it on a few occasions.
Pool towels are really nice, long enough for the bed and appeared to be brand new, or certainly well cared for.
Our room was immaculately clean with the best shower I have ever had in my life.
All in all a very good experience.

Chose Fanadir after our stay in Mosaique last fall, and again they succeded in making our vacation a success. The room and the other facilities are in very good shape and always clean. The staff are professional and quiet, as we want it.
We will be back next easter!

Room Tip: Any room in 1. or 2. floor is good. Extra value if facing marina.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 7 nights in March and had a lovely time. Pool is lovely, room very clean with amazing shower and pool staff and cleaning staff very friendly. On the downside I did not find the reception staff particularly welcoming or helpful. It is a great hotel to be in if you are looking for some peace and quiet but maybe a little soulless if you are in search for entertainment. The breakfast is decent though the chef in charge of making pancakes and omelettes was particularly unfriendly!

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the pool, which was lovely. I would possibly recommend choosing a room to...
