I just returned home from another fantastic holiday in Happy life Village in beautiful Dahab.
My husband and I staied in the hotel fort the 4th time. As we both like snorkeling we could not imagine a better hotel as the Happy Life Village. Surounded by hills, worthly in the middle of nowhere, with a house reef and about 6 different places to snorkel in the vicinity (not to mention ones in Dahab itself and-of course-the Blue Hole) it is just perfect to put all your worries in a closet for a week or two (or three if you are lucky).
Hotel is very clean, the food is amazing, staff friendly... Ther is a shuttle bus (3 times a day) which brings you to Dahab for sightseeing or shopping. As the hotel is more or less ocupied by snorkelers or divers there is not much to do after dark so if you ra elooking for nightlife you must go to Dahab or choose another hotel. But if the underwaterworld is what you are looking for then Happy Life Village is the palce to be.
We are deffinately going back, hopefully soon!!

We have been here several times with my wife and friends. Exceptionally good food and restaurant service. Mr Alfi and his crew are very hard workers, serving from early morning till evening. Actually all the staff are very pleseant. The hotel is not luxury but a good standard for nice beach or pool vacation. Amazing snorchling, nice path for running by the sea. Poor internet in the hotel (I recommend to buy data card at the airport), ATM not working this time.

We spent here a quiet week with everyday snorkeling - nice coral (somewhere destryed from the divers, about half grey and half colours - fortunately growing many new) and a lot of colourful fish. Nice staff, spacious room, furniture that already remembers but I prefere this solid comfortable wood and everything perfectly clean. During our stay nobody was obviously and unpleasantly waiting for the tips - completely another atmosphere than in Sharm el Sheikh where without a tip you were invisible. Therefore we were happy to give a tip to everyone who offered a good service - in fact everyone in the hotel. Perfect service - all imperfections in the room at the arrival solved within minutes, max. 1 hour some water from toilet in the bathroom but 100% repaired. All the animators nice and unobtrusive. Waiters very friendly - both at the beach bar and restaurant, also nice and helpful chefs who explained what is the meal made from (Ahmed, Ashraf, ...) . I admired especially Alfy who in a full dining room was able to keep both the tables clean and our glasses full with a nice smile :-) During our stay many guests from Egypt - everyone friendly. After we left (our friends who stayed a week more let us know) 3 buses full of teenagers came and they really didn't know how to behave during a dinner and occupied for the whole day the only one entrance to the sea - on the pier there was about 50 of them laying on towels and shouting and whistling at each other :-( Despite this we'd like to come back - the beach between mountains and desert with palms with fantastic sea (colder than we expected in September but refreshing).

Old fashioned but clean rooms, very good food, and the best reefs I´ve ever seen couple of meters from the beach.Staff is also very nice and polite. There is a dive base in the resort as well, you can rent a quad and go to the mountins (with a quide only of course). There is also free hotel bus witch goes to Dahab 3 times per day.

The place is very unclean, rooms are awfully dirty and have insects crawling on the walls, reception staff are very rude. Food taste is very bad, pizza is burnt and soup is very bad. Lobby is very small and they have construction beside the rooms. In general one of the worst experiences ever.
