“Poor food and tried to rip us off”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012

The service was good on the whole, the guy out front is friendly and the restaurant looks pretty good too. The problem started with the food, my steak had some unidentified sauce on it which I hadn't asked for, it was chewy and small. My girlfriends chicken was overcooked and tough. Then the beer I ordered came warm which you could overlook because when I asked they provided an ice bucket to cool it down. The main problem was they tried to charge 20LE for it, the going rate is 15LE in all restaurants, only Rush charge 20LE for beer and that's a bar/club. There are far better options out there.

“Al Capone, the boss of restaurants”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

Truly is. At Capone's they know how to bring egyptian food to the table using western standards.
The interior is a modern, more stylish version of traditional egyptian design. The music is loungy,.the light is soft and added with candles, it creates a mystic and romantic atmosphere.

The food is delicious and cooked by a real chef. I recommend the chicken with herbs which is absolutely amazing.

And if this hasn't convinced you, then go their for the super friendly staff. Keep your eyes open for 'Moon', an always helpfull, smiling and goodhearted guy.

I stayed one month in Masbat, Dahab and tried every single restaurant.
Al Capone is the favourite.
The prices aren't realy that much higher but the quality and taste certainly is. There are places where you can get cheaper food but the hygiene in the kitchens and restaurants are very poor and can give you the unpleasant side-effects.

Play it safe, tastefull, comfortable, friendly and romantic at Al Capone.

“Great service”

The waiters were friendly and funny, the food was great, the view across the Gulf of Aqaba was beautiful, there were fewer cats here than in other restaurants, and the banana thickshake was amazing!

“Nice food with a different flavour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2012

In the uk I'd give this 3 stars but in Dahab it's a great find for food that is different to most restaurants which is also great value ... So for location 4 stars. The business owner is friendly and up for a laugh , the staff were attentive. Yes their are cats but it's Dahab a love hate place (which I love). But they do a varied menu of tasty food and a change from local fare.
