Toted as an Italian restaurant, Luv N Oven is so much more. Yes they have pastas, but the seafood... Words cannot describe how great it is, and the price is beyond reasonable. In fact, I would venture to say they just don't charge enough. The owner speaks good English and a lot of Expats eat there. I hope they don't see my review and bump up the prices because there is just no comparison on the Malecon.
We ate many meals there and tried dishes of others we did not order. They toute a Filet Mignon on the menu covered in a mushroom sauce that is a wonderful meal. One night the steak was tough and they did take it back and make a whole new one, apologizing that the cook must have been sold the wrong cut of meat. They made it right! Now, mind you, this filet cut is not the tiny serving you would get in the states. It's about 4" x 6" x 2" and with the sauce and the trimmings it was only... are you ready... $8.80 tax included! No joke!
