“Nightime dining in the street”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014

Eating in the street is an interesting treat. We had a crowd of us at 5 tables. The service was good, efficient and met our needs.

“Striving for excellence”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

This place is run by a lovely lady Raquel who speaks reasonably good English so for those who don't speak Spanish, it's a bonus. Raquel really goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and is a great source of information of where to go and what to do on the island. All of her recommendations turned out to be excellent. The best was her arranging a 'driver' Wilbur for the day(not time limit was greed but we started about 9.30am until 5.15pm) for us to go to the tortoise ranch, lava caves and the beach for $70. He was informative about the tortoises, plants, birds etc. so it was more like having a private guide for the day. We had room number 1 which consisted of two rooms with two double beds (we are a couple with a young child) and a small bathroom. The rooms were spacious enough and lovely in terms of their decoration. The beds were big and comfortable. They were cleaned every day with fresh towels. Breakfast is served on a terrace and consists of bread, cheese, fruit milkshake and eggs. One morning we had fresh fruit.

At the moment there is a new café and additional rooms being constructed but this did not affect our stay there whatsoever.

Our only complaint was the water pressure for the shower which is little more than a hot dribble - as divers, we love a good shower after a day of diving and we would have liked more variety for breakfast as we stayed for 5 days so the same breakfast was a bit boring. Would def. recommend staying here and with the new café it will be even better

“Good cheap food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

We had the ceviche $8 and lobster with coconut sauce. $15.The lobster doesn't taste like the normal ones from the US- more like shrimp. Overall not bad for the price and it was a nice experience dining outdoor with the locals.

“Great cheap food”

If this is the one in the main food stall street then it is a must for fresh seafood!! The lobster was amazing, cheap and very tasty!! The lady manning the grill is an expert cook, always attentive!!

“Get close to theis colony on North Seymour island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

The high of the day tour to North Seymour island is walking around colonies of the Blue Footed Boobies, Fragates, land iguanas (huge and colourful) and even some baby sea lions. You will get really close to the animals and have the chance for nice close up photos of their chicks on the nests.
