I was there for two nights, the place is nice and quiet. Kevin all the time, trying to help you, giving you advice about what to visit and what to do. Definitely is a good place to stay and have a good time in Galapagos Islands.

Nice and friendly staff. Kevin was always helpful. Rooms and restrooms clean. AC and hot water available. Fresh water in every room. quiet place. Cabs are only a dollar fee. Peaceful islands. Reasonable price and great guest from all over the world. It is better to book a tour once you are in the island. Definitevely, I will come back and stay in the same place.

John

Room Tip: Kevin is always good at selecting a room for you

Many people have mentioned the location as an issue but it is only a dollar in a taxi into town or a 20 minute walk - not really an issue at all. The rooms are great and the mini kitchen is so handy for saving money on eating out. What really makes this place special is Kevin, the owner and his free tour of Puerto Ayora. He brought us to a great travel agent and we got all pur trips sorted within hours of arriving thanks to him. This place is woth the money you pay for it and is a very pleasant stay for a few days.

Good big and clean rooms, cleaned daily. Bathroom inside the room. Small kitchen in the room with basic kitchen tools and mini refrigerator available. Soap, towel, coffee, drinking water provided. Internet use is possible until 9pm only. Caring and good host, takes you to orientation tour in the center of the island as you arrive there. Down side: far from the center, about 20 minutes walk. It is nice walk in the morning, however better to take a taxi for 1 USD in the night, especially if you are a solo lady. Recommended.

In Dec, 2012, my husband and I spent 5 nights at this very clean, well equipped hostal. Everything is new and well organized. Kevin is an excellent host, having walked with us around the town to give us excellent hints on what to do, where to go, etc.

Room Tip: Our apartment lacked a bit of privacy, as if one opened the curtains while cooking, etc, everyone ca...

Kevin reaches out to so all he can. Upon arrive he gives all guest a walking tour of the city including recommendations on shopping dinning and the local happenings. We were so much better informed than other travelers because of Kevin. Taxis are always $1.00USD so the the quite location of the Beat Home Stay is very desirable. Each room has a well equipped kitchen. One American guest even made a Thanksgiving (chicken) dinner, stuffing included. Rooms are large and are impeccably clean, lots of hot water. This place is well thought out with a grocery market steps away to help with expenses by eating in. Great beds, sheets and towels, just like home!

Room Tip: All rooms were great

A very comfortable hostel a little way of the main street. Kevin was the most informative and helpful host i have come across so far. The building is quite new and everything was very clean and well presented. The kitchenette came in handy and allowed me to save some much needed cash while on the island. The air con was silent and the private bathroom was large. Happy to fully recommend for any traveller especially those looking for some peace and quiet in the evening.
