“Not thaaat good”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

The day we went, was full of very noisy children that came from Quito and were doing kind of group travel, like a nightmare, i couldn't enjoy it that much, and the guides thet were with them didn't help to keep all them quiet (children and parents) After they go, i didn't see much fishes or anything by snorkelling maybe cause all these kids shocked them.

“rocky walk but lovely place to cool off.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2013

The Grietas are a cleft in the lava flow that is filled with clear water. Refreshing after the walk out there. The walk out is rocky and it is a good idea to wear shoes that protect your feet.

“Nice swim on a hot day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

As others have said, Las Grietas is a series of three connected lagoons and is a lovely place to swim. You do need good shoes for the walk there (although some of the local kids walk there in bare feet!), but it's not all that challenging. Also, I found it a little difficult getting over the rocks into the different lagoons and my water shoes came in really handy. There were quite a few people there and I didn't see any fish, but I still thought it was worth the trip because it was a unique place to swim/snorkel.

We also stopped at a tiny bar/restaurant along the path for a cold drink, which was an interesting experience.

“Excellent day trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

If you read enough reviews ahead of time you'll be aware of the need for decent shoes, lots of water , early mornings etc. the walk wasn't that difficult but could be for elderly or anyone with feet- ankle issues. It's a unique place and great to cool off and enjoy. I took some great pics from the kids jumping off the top of the cliff. Fun trip over in water taxi and lunch at the restaurant on the way back. You really can't go wrong on the Galapagos whatever you decide to do.

“Long walk and rock hoping”

Fun swim and cliff jumping. Bring your mask to see some big fish. My family climbed up and jumped, some kind of footware is best.
