Clear brackish water, beautiful fish, and nicely secluded. It is a long rocky trail to get there so be prepared to cut your feet up if you flintstone it!

This place is something to remember - really nice and refreshing. Crystal clear, a bit cold water. Make sure you get there early before organized tours arrive as it can get really packed and it's a small place. The access is not that easy - you have to go through rocks and if you're wearing only flip-flops it might be difficult, but it's definitely worth it and it's so close to Puerto Ayora!

To get here you take a water taxi off of the main pier across the harbor to the ayermeyer port (sp??). It literally only takes 5 minutes and cost 60 cents pp. Then there are signs to the grietas. The walk is very rocky, and by rocky I mean you has to walk on a lot of loose rocks. Took about 30 minutes, but once you get there the grieta is a breathtaking site. We went first thing in the morning so we had the place to ourselves, very magical. Deep swimming hole. Apparently you can climb the rocks and jump since it is so deep. The water is clear enough you can see the larger parrot fish at the bottom. Beautiful!

We could see the sharks "sleeping" and people swimming and diving a bit far. The water is very cold in october; do not forget a towel and dry clothes, although there is no place to change.

We took a break from running from one iland to the other and "mass tourism" and took a kayak from the Finch Bay Hotel and instead of just seeing animals we enjoyed finding them and quietly waching them - just my daughter and me and this beautiful nature..... one of our best moments!!!!!
