“Perfect Stay”

We had a great stay at La Casa De Judy in July. She and her staff are so attentive. They were helpful and always willing to accomodate. Judy takes pride in her hotel and the service she provides. We had rooms 306 and 307 and the views were beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!

I traveled to the Galapagos on my own recently to go diving and I stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast close to the center of Puerto Ayora. Casa de Judy was just perfect. They were some of the friendliest people. Always smiling and very helpful. It was nice and quiet there too and just a short walk to restaurants. I would stay there again if and when I return to the Galapagos.

This is a nice hotel in Puerto Ayora. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious with a view to the ocean. It is very close to the Darwin Research Center. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is fine. It has a small pool. it is a 15 min walk from the main harbor and square. The room is spacious and clean.

I would stay here again, if it was closer to the main harbor and downtown. The wireless internet only works in the lobby where they serve breakfast. i think there are other nice hotels better located and with wireless internet in the rooms.

I stayed here recently for three nights, and can only praise the place! Judy was away (which is unusual I gather), but her husband was fantastic - very friendly and helpful. Next time I would choose an ocean-view room, but my room was still lovely - good air conditioning and spacious.

The communal areas are great, a nice little pool plus free wi-fi (in the communal areas). People are welcome to use the breakfast area plus sofas throughout the day to read, use the wi-fi, snooze etc! The breakfasts were great and set you up for the day. It's a five/ten minute walk from the main eating/shopping street - which was perfect. Thoroughly recommended!

Very helpful, friendly, hands-on owners and staff. Judy and her husband are extremely 'in-tune' with the needs of their guests and will make every effort to ensure that all goes well. This is also a great place for a pre- or post-cruise stay. Judy stored some luggage, at no charge and I knew it was kept in a safe place.
Our room was located on the top floor - a good climb, up three flights of stairs - with a lovely view towards the harbor. The room was comfortable, spacious and most important - clean. The breakfast was more than plenty, especially when traveling with teenage boys. It consisted of granola with fruits and yoghurt, followed by an egg on toast, coffee / tea / juice.
The location of La Casa de Judy is around the corner from Scuba Iguana, at the entrance of Darwin Center - a short 5 - 7 minute walk, also close to many nice restaurants. We never had a problem in getting a taxi, as many pass-by La Casa de Judy. A $1 ride will take you to the 'molle' (harbor).

Room Tip: If you're able to climb two to three flights of stairs, the ocean view top floor rooms are great...

A guidebook reviewed Casa de Judy (formerly Hotel Galapagos) positively as a good place to stay for budget-conscious travellers. The book said it was a good option because of its relative proximity to the main strip. Looking for accommodations, my husband and I decided to visit, and were won over by Judy's warm personality and the simple, but beautiful design of the place. Two rooms were available on short notice: one in the courtyard (by the pool), the other on the third floor, which Judy recommended (a little pricier).

Despite knowing that we would spend most of our time scuba diving and sight-seeing, we opted to splurge on an ocean view room on the third floor. I'm happy we did. The view was beautiful, and it was nice to have the privacy. Rooms by the courtyard tended to have many people walking by, and it was a bit louder there.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa de Judy. The room was clean, and tastefully decorated, with two comfortable Queen beds. More importantly, it had air conditioning, and hot water.

Wifi was available in the courtyard area, which we were happy to use. Finally, breakfasts were included in the cost of the room. They were lovely, composed of all the breakfast goodies: warm bread, eggs, coffee, sliced fruit, and fresh fruit juices.

We definitely felt at home there, and would recommend it to others looking for a nice, and relaxed place to stay in Puerto Ayora.

Galapagos Inn is in a quite side street, but only 5-10 minutes away from most important places in Puoerto Ayura. It's a medium sized hotel and costs less than a lot of the other hotels in town. The rooms are simple but very clean. There is a nice pool. Judy, the owner is incredibly nice and helpful and goes out of her way to provide you with information. All in all very good value.
