This restaurant was recommend by our house owner and staff that live on Santa Cruz. We ate two dinners at Il Giardino and both were excellent and reasonably priced. We opted to eat on the top deck as the view and the breeze were very welcomed. It was not too crowded about 6 pm when we arrived but it was a slower time of the year. The caprese salads were excellent as were the indian shrimp dishes as an appetizer. The main courses of local fresh fish and italian chicken dishes were well cooked and flavore nicely. The service was excellent and most of the waiters did speak some english even though we were able to talk to them in spanish (you know what they say about when in Rome....). Overall, a great little Italian restaurant in the heart of Puerto Ayora.
