We read a good review of this place and I asked several locals about places to eat. They all recommended Rosita so we took our chance. This was the end of our 13 day island hopping trip in Galapagos and I have to say that the service and quality of the food were excellent. The prices were also very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food. I had the sea food rice and I was expecting just the rice which is what I got in restaurants in Isabela and Santa Cruz islands. The plate, however, came with delicious rice (large portion) with 4 types of seafood in generous quantities. It also included a small lobster (called langostino), a piece of grilled fish and ripe fried plantains. This was a beautiful dish, very filling and excellent food for $15. The service was also very good, not something you find everywhere in Galapagos. The waiter told me that this restaurant had been around for 54 years.
We liked it so much that we went back twice for dinner. They have non- seafood dishes such as beef, chicken. The breaded fish was also pretty good.
In general I would recommend this restaurant and I would go back there if I visit San Cristobal again.
