At first glance, a very uninviting rocky beach. Just keep following the path, you'll see lots of marina iguanas on the rocks, and eventually the rocks give way to sand where you can actually swim. Large sea lion colony, when I was there it was almost entirely little pups. Absolutely adorable. Just remind yourself not to touch them! It's law and the mother may abandon them if they smell the scent of humans.
And of course, you must snorkel here. Sea lions, and LOTS and LOTS of rays! There were so many I almost got tired of looking at them. Don't worry they won't hurt you!
A must if you visit San Cristobal.
