Awesome little market. We had to travel through a pretty shady street to get there, but was well worth it. The Tais are hand made clothes and are extremely beautiful. You can barter with them for a lower price or combined price. I bought a wonderful wrap for my wife for only 12 USD. Amazing piece. Well worth going.

Nice textiles, some good woodcarvings, also nice traditional jewelry, always bargain prices by at least 50% or more...

The market does provide some truly East Timorese handicrafts that you will not find elsewhere. ‎Close to other shops in the Colmera district.

It is great that you can watch the artisans (mostly women) weave the tais. You don't mind paying $20 for this colourful cloth when you see how much effort and skill goes into it. Go to the tais market and support the continuation of this cultural skill.

This market is tucked away in a back street. It is very small and not very exciting. However the stall holders are lovely, and willing to barter. It is the cheapest place in Dili to buy Tais and other souvenirs.
