“After many visits this one way the worst”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

I have stayd in this hotel many times before on business, but this time it was really not good. I walked into the room and it was really hot in the room. I tried the AC and ventilation and it was shut off. So I called the reception and they said the air condition is still off so i should open my window. My remark was but its very loud outside and towards the morning the cars will wake me up. Sorry was the answer, we cannot help the ventilation is shut down. As they have outside electric shades i pulled them up and opened the windows. So at 5 am the light came in the room also with the noise from outside. Also in the evening i was sitting at the bar waiting for service for about 10 min, no one came so i had to go and look for someone, i was served a beer and for the next 20 min no service again. I wanted a espresso or cappucino for breakfast but non was included in the breakfast, only an american coffee. All this was strange for a 5 star hotel. Someone should rethink the rating of this hotel and bring it back to a 4 star hotel.

Not the first time in Milenij hotel, so I can confirm that every stay was always an excellent stay! Great location with garage, beautiful SPA zone, delicious buffet breakfast. Even if you plan just a relaxing weekend (as we did) it is excellent choice. Check different packages on the hotel website. Tip: if you plan to have massage, book it immediately!

Room Tip: Go for the sea view room as rooms overlooking street could be noisy!

I was there for a short stay with my wife. We were looking for some more luxury hotel, with good internet connection, close to see side, with nice view.
All the expectations were made.

That was great relaxation, and great time there. Food was great, staff was very friendly, location is superb! In the city centre, but you can still enjoy peace and quiet (or is simply not so disturbing in this city).

A lot of nice restaurants not so far away.
If you look for nice sandy beach, forget about that. In front of the hotel, there is only concrete beach; you will have to drive couple kilometres, to find something else.
But for us, it was not important, so I will not say it was disadvantage.

I was hoping for a better room, since ours didn't have a direct see view, but still it was very nice.

This is a place, we shall come once again definitely.

Room Tip: For a sea view, you have to choose south located rooms. Might be hot in a summer thought. I would no...

Truly the best hotel in Opatija and in the whole Kvarner region. I stayed here so many times and every time it is a new experience. The hotel is quite small, and it is consists of two parts: Sveti Jakov which is 100 meters from the main building. Sveti Jakov has very nice restaurant with great fish and other specialities and it is hidden gem in Opatija, lots of people thinks that it is just ordinary hotel restaurant, but it is much more of that, nice private atmosphere and gorgeous food will impress you, and the prices are fair enough for 5 star hotel restaurant. Rooms and suits in Sveti Jakov are refurbished in old-style, and you will feel there like a king or a queen. The main building has another restaurant which serves gorgeous breakfast with home made pastry and wide choice of everything from fresh fruits to champagne. The pool area is nice, with removable roof, and the pool terrace is just gorgeous, just be sure that you catch the sun chairs early morning. The rooms are great: in old villa of main building are in old Austrian style, and if you could book a suite on the first floor with 2 big terraces, i think it is room number 101,102, but also other suites in old villa are nice really. In new part of main building, all of rooms are with modern furniture, and my advice is to avoid the 6th floor, because those room are without balcony, also book the sea view room with gourgeous small balcony, you will adore it.

Room Tip: sea view room with a balcony in the new building, and if you want to spoil yourself book a suite in...

This architectual masterpiece hotel was our home for three days and we enjoyed every bit of it.
Clean seaview room with art deco. Realy friendly staff. Excellent food. Spa and pool are very good.
It deserves even the 6th star. Highly recomended to enyone bussines or pleasure.
We will be back 100%.

Room Tip: Seaview room is a must!!

Stayed here more than once, I can confirm they keep their standard. Very clean, nice buffet breakfast and a very good spa. They often have weekend+spa special offers for under 200 EUR for 2 persons, keep your head up for that.
