Great location, clean room, excellent view, friendly stuff. Food was very good, especially Easter breakfast and dinner, but I suggest coming early on dinner because later food is overcooked.
Wellness is not on 4 star level (only 2 saunas, no tea, and pool is ok, but needs adaptation).
Parking is HRK 75 per day.

It’s s fantastic and nice view from the hotel balcony. Though initially I wasn’t expecting much from the hotel but it really surpassed my expectations. The room is reasonably not bad but as it’s a package tour I must say it’s a night worth staying

First the good points - the hotel has an interesting history which is explained on boards in the reception area. Reception staff were helpful and check-in was quick. There was space in the hotel's own small parking lot, which is next door to the hotel. The view from the rooms was superb and the rooms themselves were spacious and clean. There was also very little noise at night from outside. The negatives could easily be fixed - the air-conditioning had been turned off (late October/ early November) and so the rooms were too hot. The fans still operated but didn't cool the rooms. The biggest disappointment, however, was breakfast. Yes, there was a large selection, but it was poor quality - the orange juice, in particular, was nasty, especially when the machine which dispensed it decided not to dispense any concentrate! Staff at breakfast failed to exude any charm whatsoever. That said, the location is good and the hotel is not not expensive, so I would return, but give the breakfast a miss.

Room tip: Go for a sea view.

When i book a 4 star hotrl i expect to have a nice worry less vacation, but no. The hotel looks old fashioned, but it's very clean. The breakfast was good, offered many choices of food, the omlet was sometimes cold but that was not a big issue. The pool is nice, filled with salt water (sea water) but it's not heated. The room was very clean, and this is the main reason why I gave 3 points, beside location close to the city centre. The shower is tight. Hairdryer is old and takes ages to dry my hair. The long chairs area it's ok, just concrete like all the others locations in Opatija as well. Nice view from there too. The parking cost 14 Euro/day in a parking lot 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The receptionist said they don't have balcony rooms but ours had one, if you get a seaview there is no balcony, the street side rooms have balconies. Most of the employees are not intrested on helping, or they don't have a clue about what's going on there. Asked my shirt to be ironed and I could of done it better. I didn't feel comfortable being a guest there, somehow not welcomed. We also tried another 4 star hotel in Opatija that cost 40 Euro more but with a much better experience.
