“Lungo Mare”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

A wonderful paved coastal path, that follows the shoreline from Lovran for 7 km to Opatija, then another 5km on to Volosko. Lovely views, and plenty of cafes for refreshment

“A 'Carlsberg' stroll”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

A 12km coastal walk, away from the traffic, passing through lovely small towns and beaches. We walked from Volosko to Lovran and got the bus back to Opatija. If you don't want to do the whole walk in one day you can get the bus from several points along with way or treat yourself and get a boat taxi.

“A Slice of the Croatian Riviera!”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

The walk from Opatija along the Lungo Mare to Louvan (about 4km )was brilliant to give you a complete picture of the various facets of the area . You go past market stalls, through the outdoor areas of restaurants and cafes, past marinas, through the paved swim and sunbathe areas, past fishing boats, you can deviate into the little villages, along sections of the rocky coastline where the villas and hotels have small steps to small formations on the rocks for swimming .... It has it all.
Stop for coffee , ice cream, lunch or a cool drink .
Recommend taking a water taxi (Water Taxi Ema ) back to Opatija from Louvan for magnificent sea views and a grappa should you agree ! A must to do .
To make it more special whilst waiting for the water taxi on the pier we saw 1.5m long tuna chasing sardine schools jumping completely out of the water some 30 m from the pier- amazing .

“Good at any time”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

We went there several times (all together we went from Volosko to Ičici). Nice views to Rijeka, port, islands, mountains. Easy to walk. A lot of possible beaches for everyone. Beautiful views at any time of the day. It's possible to start everywhere and spend there your time as much as you want.
From Ičici to supermarket Billa is about 1,5h to go. It's worth to visit Lučica in Ičici. it's a simple caffe, maybe oldfashioned, but cheap and good fish food you can get.
