Was taken there by my local family hosts. Impressive compared to other venues in the City.
There is a general attitude by the Expat populations that they are doing things well in the F&B business even though they are not professionals themselves (attitude).
We ordered the drinks before the meal as we were thirsty and they took quite long.
The person who had to take the order took long to come and I later realised why as she was eating a meal with her family or friends.
Starters were Ok, but the hot dish from the starters came totally cold. It was sent back and came back hot (I ave no doubt the Micro was used - high end restaurants should not have a Micro in the kitchen).
The main courses were inconsistent, some were good some were poor and some were average. My sons veal was very very hard. I tried it and confirmed it was before sending it back on a child's comment. I noticed the waiter took it to the manager/owner (they were having a meal on another table), and he actually tried it before we got a verdict that we could order something else. I was shocked at this!
Overall the meal was above average but not very good. So is stays as average.
Prices were extremely high for the quality offered, but that seems to be the norm in the City.
The setting was nice, but the lack of professionalism could be seen by the cutlery used, and also the manner in which the table was set. A high end restaurant should have its table set almost perfectly.
